  1. Definitely! Let's just plan it enough in advance so I can get work off.
  2. Not sure why all the pictures aren't showing up /: Is there a limit per post or something?
  3. Hey everyone! I've been on here for quite a while and done quite a lot to my rig, but I never got around to making a thread dedicated to my Pathfinder build and all the adventures I go on with it. In here I'll be posting anything I would do to my car, trips I go on, or whatever else I think of. Probably a lot of questions and problems as well. I'll start from the beginning and just share some pictures but I'll spare you the details and trips so far because that would take way too long, and nothing I've done is new. Here's my Pathy as close to when I first got it as I could find. Then first thing I did is make a little cb antenna mount. I hate the idea of drilling into the body, so I made it work with the screw that the trunk bump stop things are held in with. The next thing was wheels and tires. I got a set of 4 American racing wheels from a friend of a friend for $75, which already had tires on them. The tires were all different sizes and all completely bald and dry rotted so badly that I didn't feel safe driving on them. I called up a nearby used tire shop, looking for the cheapest way to get me driving again and happened upon a set of 4 265/75r16 AT's with plenty of tread left. $120 later I was cruising around on a fresh set of 32's. As you may be able to see in the picture above, I had a huge camber problem in the front, which would eventually lead to my front tires wearing completely out in the front. Here's a pic from right after I got the tires: The next step was new struts (kyb) and new springs (ome hd) up front to fix my front end issues. I also got a cheap roof basket from Walmart because I had a gift card from returning snow chains. This is pretty much how it sits currently. I have new tires coming soon, and then hopefully sliders or bumpers or something. Yesterday I took it wheeling out to hollister hills, and it killed it on the trails. I had it teetering on 3 wheels a few times, but it made it over things I would never have expected it to. I definitely know I will want a new rear bumper sometime in the future, as it drags and gets caught on everything. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170616/f40cb4a4452eccb3b1c5a1eed0b7e595.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170616/97f4d59a6b4cf09cf3e003f20c43fb32.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170616/03e83535d9bd7fdb0b9bc25418554c58.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170616/2cf7d125782150867999808aee9afc47.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170616/9df8cd429e29c7c1d09c98ebd6880280.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170616/0c1c3c7061da65ed7e3abf220bf08c8c.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170616/2967b1324991c55a4fa6a91a56403147.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170616/c7595d89dc1a5978087c9f894853e83c.jpg I also got some sweet Milky Way shots the other night as well! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170616/7b090f26b0241d95404783d50ecc17f7.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170616/b4bfd6b61389d136eb30d37b45c1eac9.jpg Well folks that's all I have for now! There will be plenty more soon, so stay tuned! (: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Super annoyed because I had way more pictures but most of them were super washed out like the first couple that I tried to save in editing. I must have forgotten to change the ISO back down after taking Milky Way shots ): Here's one I forgot to post: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Also I just went out and got some sweet Milky Way shots tonight, so I'll have some of those up as soon as they're edited. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thank you!! It's actually not a Yankees hat. It's west valley college (they stole the logo). It says WV rather than NY. I didn't notice until she pointed it out haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Did a little driving around in the mountains while doing a photoshoot today. Of course I had to snap a few pics of the pathy while we were stopped. The last pic is one of the few from the shoot I can put on here because my car is technically in it haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Your rig is sure looking good! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Old picture I found (pre-lift and roof basket) at panther beach Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Anyone know where the oil pressure sender/sensor is? I have the replacement part but I can't seem to find where it goes for my life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Since I never got around to it before, here are some pictures from our San Jose meet up a couple weeks ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I don't remember the exact backspacing of the stock wheels, but they were 6.5" wide or something like that, with pretty close to 0 offset. I could be remembering wrongs, since I don't have them anymore, but that would give somewhere around 3.5-4" of bs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. My response, taking NovaPath's comment into consideration, is that it really is entirely up to you. Sure, you'll do a lot better financially without a car, but for those of us who's world completely revolves around cars it's an expense worth having. I'm currently in college as well, and will be transferring to Montana this fall. I've been into cars ever since I was a little kid, and I'm not about to give that passion up just to free up time and money. I have friends that share my passion, and we spend countless hours helping each other work on our rigs and having fun with them. I wouldn't give that up for anything. Like 01Pathmaker said, it's all about where your priorities are. If you're passionate about this, then don't give it up. If it's more of a burden than it is fun, then maybe come back to it later after you focus on something else. If you love your car, I would keep at it. Either way, best of luck! God has an awesome plan for you, whether or not it includes your Pathy!
  14. For those of you in Fremont and Milpitas, would you be down to meet up in the South Park Victoria shopping center (Lucky) parking lot on the corner of S Park Victoria and Landess Ave sometime? It's always empty.
  15. Not sure about a 4" height increase lol... even the HD springs are nowhere close to that. I got just about 2" more on each side with the HD springs. My old struts were completely blown though, so if your front isn't sagging you'll get a little less. The ride with KYB struts is amazing. It's not too harsh at all, but it's much more firm and truck-like. I fit 265/75r16 even before I had the OME springs, so you should have no problem.
  16. They fit for me. I have a pre-facelift model though. The 99.5+ seem to have more trouble fitting bigger tires, though I think it's just because of the wheels. I know someone with a pre-facelifted model that put wheels from a newer pathy on which then had rubbing issues, so you probably would need new wheels or wheel spacers.
  17. Awesome!! I think you'll be happy with your decision. I'm certainly happy to hear you'll be keeping it. Don't forget to put up some pics when you get those 33's on!
  18. For sure man. Looks like you've got a solid plan. I'd love to see some pics if you decide to stuff bigger tires on!
  19. The meet up was awesome! Took lots of pics and it was super great to finally talk with some other pathfinder enthusiasts. We'll have to meet up again soon and hopefully a few more people will be able to come. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Mine rattles a bit on startup but has been running solid with no problems for a long time now
  21. Would you be down to meet at Bass Pro sometime this weekend? I get off work at 6 both days and can come right outside to my car haha. The morning also may work. Spread the word to whoever may be interested
