  1. Blizzaks are nice but extremely overpriced. I know they're not listed but I'd consider some Hankook Icebears I believe W300. They are pretty darn good and they're inexpensive. I used to run them on my BMW in the winter on a set of 17's until I got the Pathy. With them on that car would go anywhere and handled VERY well for winter tire. It actually was better in the snow then my wifes Mazda3. So if they can transform the Mach5 into a winter warrior then they will for sure make a suby shine! I would stay away from studded snow tires unless you've got constant ice everywhere for the entire time you'll have them on because with studs if the ground is only wet (very common in winter) then they will get much worse traction. Stick with technology stay away from studs. -Colby
  2. Nice job on the win, that's a good pic!
  3. Ah yes, valid points made. And I see I am not odd! HA oh and having a second spare, good idea! I'm halfway through gettin safari rack on mine as we speak. I only have to prep a couple more days after work then it'll be ready to spray! Whoo hoo! -Colby
  4. Just out of curiosity why does everyone want a tire on their safari rack? It seems like everyone and their dog wants to mount it up there. Wouldn't it be a huge pain if you got a flat and had to get it off your roof? I mean I could see if there is no where else to put it or it was bottoming out when you're off-roading and such or something similar. I tell ya I'd much rather have it in the back on a carrier (like my own) and leave the space on the roof for more gear. Am I the odd one for seeing it this way or what, or does anyone agree? -Colby
  5. That's funny now I know I was right, because I was almost positve that it had a 19 before this topic started me second guessing ya know... -Colby
  6. I've got a 94 V6 and I've run mine down to where the needle is below the mark and I've never seen a fuel light. I've only seen 19 gals go in the tank and then I was very scared I was going to run out because of how low the needle was. Guess I need to take a gas can with me someday and see where it really runs out at.. -Colby
  7. If I had 60K I'd pay off my car and put some dough in the pathy because I love both my pathy and my beeemer so much I'll NEVER sell them! I'll have em both when I'm a 100!! :D And I agree, we should try keep the negativity to a min. Even if someone bashes you doesn't mean you need to respond eh. If I wanted drama I'd go in the other room and pick a fight wif da wife! hehe
  8. Haha you're so right! Not me though, I use my car to it's full potential and NEVER complain about the 12mpg I'm getting LOL!
  9. Just saw this haha well sorta.... I was until I was old enough to drive the hell away from the church!! Then I never went back. I don't believe in alot of what they're trying to sell. So I don't really consider myself one now no.
  10. I enjoy tons of stuff. Camping, hanging out with my wife and daughter, building computers - playing computer games video games in general, modding things in general, models there are alot more. I'd say my BMW is a major one (probably takes up most the time besides work except in the winter ahah) I also enjoy fishing and pretty much anything outdoors too. Offroading & exploring (doesn't have to be hard core) -Colby
  11. Maybe call it an SMV? Soccer Mom Vehicle?? hehe
  12. I'd run your FX with my M5, except I've got over 400 ponies under my hood
  13. That would be pretty cool, I think you should do it. You should steer more towards the Himalaya and away from the Avalanche... I've always hated those with a pasion..
  14. That's what I did too! It was really easy! If fact edicer2 is selling one rigtht now in the for sale section if I remember correctly. -Colby
  15. Well that's all fine and dandy but I prefer the look of this style. Although you have done a fine job custom making your own.
  16. I know that I've been looking around at future upgrades and this style of rock slider is exactly what I'm planning using. I also was planning on just welding them to the frame. So DO IT man and take pictures so I can follow your lead! I was actually looking at the ones on this site, they r very similar. http://www.trail-gear.com/rocksliders.html Colby
  17. You're right they do look way cool, but who in their right mind would spend that kind of spread on them. Maybe at most $50 if I was feeling more impulsive than normal! I don't see it being that hard to dubplicate this in some fashion for a fraction of the cost though.
  18. Charcoal grey with black trim (never did like chrome)
  19. If the bumper looked like this one I'd buy one!! This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for sublte, useable, and tough! I've PMed this user with no response. Anyone have any info on it?
  20. Not to be rude or anything but you get what you pay for. You can't expect to buy any car for $500 and expect it to be perfect can you? I would expect just as many problems as you stated or more when purchasing a $500 car/truck. Unless you were just by chance very lucky. Just my .02
  21. Congrats dude! That's some way kick a** air from any view point! -Colby
  22. I'm officially added to the map too! Just because I'm from Utah doesn't mean I'm a polygamist! LOL!! J/K But I'm not one really... Seriously, no way dude!
  23. I did sorta the same thing except I took the 17's off a titan and had the center bore machined. Then I used automotive matte black and sprayed them in a spray booth. Then I had to custom make some center caps. I used a bigger size - 255x75 17" making mine approx 32"x10" something. I totally agree, it makes the pathy look updated! This is before the centers were completed and before the full size spare made it on the back I don't have many pics of the new setup at all yet.. -Colby
  24. Thanks guys!! I painted them with a product that has a matte finish then got some stickers off ebay so they'd have that nismo look.
