  1. If anyone is looking for airlift airbags for the rear of the R50, PM I have a set at home that I never ended up installing. But these are great for trailer towing or carrying heavy weights in the back. Sent from my Pathfinder
  2. Whaaaaaat??!! Wait a minute, I paid $10 so that means this should add at least 10WHP, isn't that how it works!? Thanks for bursting my bubble XPLORx4 #enginebaybling
  3. Finally got around to making my own missing link like I had intended for a while but kept forgetting about. Making these is so easy I won't insult anyone's intelligence in how to make your own lol Sent from my Pathfinder
  4. I wasn't sure what to name this thread, but essentially I was wondering if there were any active members from the New England / north eastern states region interested in joining me, countryboy88 and a few other members from Expo on a weekend trip through northern Mass/ Vermont neck of the woods? This will be the 3rd trip with this group, however this year we have a bunch of new people coming along, so why not see if there are any more Pathgrinders that want the come along? Dates: 28-30 May Lcoation: Torrey Mountain Road, Tunnel Road, Old Florida Road Pix for clix Sent from my Pathfinder
  5. With all the plans you have for it, this will be a really nice Pathy when you're all done! Sent from my Pathfinder
  6. Reviving this thread because I found a TBS on Kijiji in my area for $10. I know they are very controversial in reviews and my own opinion is, they don't really do anything. But for $10 I figured what the heck. It certainly won't make it worse. Usually these cost around $100 bucks, which is insane!! Anyway, I tried to put it on tonight, but despite having removed the 4 bolts and loosened the throttle cables, I was not able to pull the TB far enough away from the intake manifold to fit the spacer. There is a thick hose on the bottom of the TB (not sure what it is) and that's just not long enough to pull it forward, at least not without risking to pull that hose off. Anybody know what exactly this mystery hose is, or what the trick is to install this sucker?!
  7. I hear ya. I was actually able to fit the fan housing inside the rubber seal. So far in the winter it has never overheated. Might be different in the summer. But I carry 2 halogen bulbs with me whenever I go anywhere just in case the above happens. But even if it did, I still have plenty of other lights to back me up Sent from my Pathfinder
  8. I don't know, but I have never not been in overdrive. Maybe if you find yourself on a lot of uphills and downhills you could turn OD off.
  9. Spacers will help only where you're close to the strut and the brake calipers (15" diameter rim). Don't these rims have a backspacing?! If you upsize your tires you have a few options: 1. Backspaced rims (solves strut proximity) 2. Wheel spacers, (same as above plus clears calipers) 3. trim your bumper and fender liner (solves rubbing tires against bumper and fender liner) 4. lift your truck and do all of the above (solves everything!)
  10. My 99.5 with 3.3 is also rated at 5000lbs. You will be fine. I tow my 18" seadoo boat with it no problem.
  11. Good idea. And welcome to NPORA officially! Be advised, when you create a thread on Crapatalk it will say error and you'll hit retry, meanwhile every time you click again it will actually create a thread. So simply click cancel after the first warning. The thread will be posted.
  12. Another random for a nice sunny day Sent from my Pathfinder
  13. No, but I thought about using gasket maker or silicone sealant anyway to keep moisture out. Sent from my Pathfinder
  14. I also just thought of another issue with rivet nuts, they would create a raised edge between the hood and the louver. Rivets it is.
  15. Hawairish, when you're reading this, do you think M5 Rivnuts would be small enough for this particular application? That's the smallest the rivet tool will go.
  16. Reviving this oldie... Ever since I first saw theexbrit's Pathy, that's when I knew what direction I wanted to go with mine. And to this day I still really want to do these louvers. I even found the exact ones he used. http://rodlouvers.com/Pair-of-Angled-double-Row-24-Louvered-panels-P2005276.aspx In this thread it says it's a "sunbelt mod" referring to the concern of water on the engine. Then another site has this to say about that: http://hoodlouvers.com/heavy-rain-snow-water-no-problem/ So all in all, I'm still considering this mod, I think it looks badass and I can only see benefits to a cooler engine bay. My question is more geared towards the hardware and install, especially where the Run Cool louvers, hardware included, are all made of aluminium, but their price is pretty steep for 2 pieces of metal. The Rod Louvers are steel, don't come with hardware and require quite a bit of prep and modification. Much like Andy I would be cutting mine to an angle too. I do have a rivet tool after all.....this could be another excuse to use get my money's worth out of it lol. And I could buy aluminium rivet nuts as it isn't load bearing. So I guess after all I don't really have a question, I just wanted to revive this thread for my own selfish reasons
  17. $40 from a junk yard! Sent from my Pathfinder
  18. Yeah I gave LED's inside the OE housings too and it helps but this is a hole other level of bright. Went for a bit of a drive today, a little hike and played with the Gaia App. Here some pics Sent from my Pathfinder
  19. Since I have that extra power supply and that OE spot for a power outlet that I missed, I had the urge to do something with it. I had a left over wiring harness for aux lights so I used that with a switch I had laying around and started fiddling around. Now I have an awesome lit up trunk that gets light with the push of a button without draining the main battery and without switching off after 3 minutes (or whatever the factory setting is). And just a pic from today. Yes my Pathy leaves the garage sometimes lol. Sent from my Pathfinder
  20. That rivet tool opened up a new world of possibilities for me!! I love it!! Sent from my Pathfinder
  21. Yeah I already replaced one of the u-bolts with a shorter one I had laying around. The other one will either get trimmed or I'll buy a shorter one. Grinding might not allow for the nut to slide off easily. I dunno, never done it. Electrical project shananigans continue. I found some LED strips on sale, so why not brighten up the trunk a bit?! Sent from my Pathfinder
  22. And, I bought a Hi-Lift. I was looking around for DIY mounts and even the Yakima mount, which costs a ridiculous $125. Then I took a good hard look and found a $4 solution! U-bolts! Since I bought the 60" version, it sits perfectly on the roof rack rails. Just needed something to secure it. Might get smaller U-bolts, but the concept is solid! Sent from my Pathfinder
