  1. Yeah, JKO is a huge military community which is why I like it. It has its own military sub category. Plus I'm also on Expo, but haven't posted in the Jeep section yet. Jeep forums are so abundant it's crazy.
  2. I'm on JKO and Jeep Junkies. I've started a build thread but there isn't anything real in it yet. So far I've just done CB and Teraflex HD hinge carrier to retain the OEM functionality but pack on a 35 spare. I'll have more stuff to add soon. LED headlight swap, rims and tires, skids, dual exhaust, and air filter. Eventually a Gobi stealth rack, fenders, bumper chop, winch. http://www.jeepjunkies.ca/viewtopic.php?t=6384#p104966
  3. Compared to the VG33 lol? I like it. Much better fuel economy! I can actually pass people when I push on the pedal unlike with the R50 where nothing happens except everything gets louder.
  4. Yeah the 3.6 Pentastar. 80hp over the 3.8 and better fuel economy.
  5. Yeah it's a 2012 Sahara, all expect for Rubis have the D30. The new Rubis have a D44 IIRC
  6. Yeah mine already has the Rubi suspension swap with a 2" body lift and the 3.73 gears, (which seems low compared to the R50 lol) so the foundation is laid for the 35's. I might just do some upgrades to the front Dana 30 like balljoints and trusses, but at least for now, I won't be swapping axles and stuff like that. To shift the focus back to Cathy, here's a shot of her bodacious rear end
  7. Not going for an overbuilt look, keeping it more "adult"
  8. Yeah I've got too much heart into it. I was thinking of doing exactly what you said actually, keeping Cathy (yes that's what I call her, Canadian Pathy = Cathy) as an overland / camping rig and the jeep as my DD/ trail rig. Going 35's on 15's . I don't like the look of big rims on Jeeps.
  9. Looks very good. Have you thought about wider tires? Would just look a tad more aggressive.
  10. For real this time! I know I joked about this before but this time, it's real. My friend wanted to make the trade, I've been wanting a jeep so here we are. But you're right, I kinda feel like the dark side finally got me.
  11. Tight fit In other news, Pathy has just become an older brother. This is now real. I feel like a kid in a giant candy store when I browse jeep parts. Coming from the R50, it's mind numbing!!
  12. What Kyle said, that's about it. Unless you drop the sub-frame.
  13. Similar thread already exists http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/2107-what-kind-of-safari-rack-do-you-have/?hl=%2Broof+%2Brack&do=findComment&comment=771692
  14. Yes those will fit, both rims and tires. Those rims have a 3.75 BS so the struts will be cleared. Just 2 considerations: 1. Be prepared to trim a little bit of plastic fender liner as at full lock you will likely rub a little (not a big deal, just annoying) 2. If your truck came with stock 16" rims, the calipers may or may not fit depending on how new the pads are. However, if that is the case, either spacers or a little bit of shaving off the calipers will do the trick. The clearance is super tight on 15". But I think only the 99.5 started having the 16" rims and larger brakes, so you won't even have to worry about that.
  15. My rattle in the rear was the shocks not being right enough on the upper mount. As for the fluid flush I didn't notice a difference. But then again the fluid that came out wasn't all that bad.
  16. Lol no worries buddy. I'm just not too knowledgable about engines lol. All I know is that I have a VG33 LOL
  17. The WJ coils don't NEED the adapter as it can be made to fit buy trimming the pigtails in the right place. However with the adapter you gain at least another inch of lift as you can keep the pigtail and it will sit higher on the mount. Or you can use Fleurys spacers for top and bottom mounts if you cut your pigtails off.
  18. Well Kyle I have never owned a GM or any American vehicle besides a short stint in a Ford Exploder. I have always been a German car guy. We don't tend to swap out our engines nearly as much as American cars because we don't need to
  19. None. The bumper itself stays intact. It's all in the mounts. The supplied mounts will need to be cut and you'll be welding your custom brackets to them.
  20. Yeah they would with a bit of customization. Several options exist to mount it, but all would require a lot of metal fabrication.
  21. Thanks, Toyojay. But what's LS1? MSGNSDQ, the bumper is a Rough Country XJ bumper. But fitting it is no easy task. Just on my last run I popped a weld because someone tried to get me unstuck me from the front. He was unsuccessful so he yanked / snapped the tow strap, but the only thing that budged was my bumper. Luckily it is attached in 3 spots on each side so it didn't come off or anything but a weld let go. Had them reinforced since. Should be indestructible now. This is a pic of the carnage
