Found the replacement cams. Claims to add some guaranteed power. Anybody know how difficult of a DIY this would be? I've had the cams exposed in my other vehicles but the valve covers are much more accessible in those. I also found out from the PO did replace the spark plugs at 75000km, which would explain why they still look pretty good.

Thanks. Knowing what to research has helped me find the answers I was looking for. Also learned that it takes close to 2 qt to refill, which made me hold off on it as I only have 1 qt left from my ATF change. And to confirm, as above both fluids have been cited as usable, I've learned that on older models both could be used, whereas 95+ ATF is recommended. Different viscosity and in case there would be a leak between the transmission and the TCase, there would be no cross contamination. Thanks for the assistance boys.

Ack'd thanks. I have both fluids here from previous changes just wasn't sure what this part is called even (Center diff?!) so not sure how to look it up. Thanks bushnut!

Yeah I've been buying from them too. Thanks. Another question, I've done my transmission fluid and front and rear diffs. Now I just finished greasing my propeller shaft (sounds dirty lol) and noticed that there are drain and filler plugs on the "Center diff?!" Not sure if this is part of the transmission but it seems connected, so my question is should this take ATF instead of gear oil? I've read both should never be mixed. This is what I'm talking about:

Good stuff. Since you're in Canada too, where did you buy your parts from? Online or local? Thx
-
Any particular reason why? Any noticeable difference after? I'm up in the air with my decision to do this. I don't feel there is a need, I checked some of the plugs and they looked pretty good. I just feel due to the age it might be time. But then again don't want to waste money if I don't have to. Thanks

Put in a new fuel filter. Old one was definitely the 16 year old original as the brackets essentially disintegrated as I tried to undo it. Zap straps to the rescue lol. So much for, " you know you're a redneck when..."

Are you serious dude?

What he said. I have these too on mine. He's active on this forum, makes a quality product for a good price. Highly recommended.

Ordered generic moldable fender flares from Pacer Performance. Trying to protect the paint a little bit.
-
Even 33x12.5 will fit as long as you have at least 3.75 Backspacing. But this is all info that is abundantly available throughout this forum.
-
Bushnut, do you have the link to the fender flares you used? Are they screwed in?
-
Made a much sturdier version of my breather hose and nipple on my rear diff.
-
I've done the same thing. Just used the rustoleum as it was on sale. Not sure how much difference there is between the brands.

Yeah those MRAPs are pretty nice. They usually have a 50 on top. I worked closely with Marines overseas that rode in those. They still preferred ours as we had the RWS on top. But I think they have since upgraded too and those are sweet vehicles.

I think your priorities are out of order. Off-road bumpers will look silly on a stock Pathy, on stock wheels and tires without a lift.
-
Thanks Kyle. Yeah I remember coming across a few mentions of cam replacements but haven't found any specifics or documented gains from this.

Sorry to hear man this sucks. People are assholes. No integrity. Well I'd say weigh your options, get a quote from a few body shops, check out some junk yards and see what you come up with. I definitely wouldn't leave it. It would bug me too much and it's gonna be the beginning of a downwards spiral. When you say decal, are you talking about that pin stripe? Maybe see if you can remove it al around. Unless it's actually painted on.
-
Thanks. Still planning on a front and rear bumper. I'd like to integrate my spare tire carrier into the bumper as opposed to the hitch. While I like the convenience of removing it easily I don't like how far it sits away from the car. Feels like it creates a lot of stress on the metal especially on rough terrain. Exhaust is also due. Looking at better flow once I tackle that. I'd really like to get more power but anything short from SS 3.3 swap seems pointless. I'll need an intake just to mitigate the moisture getting into the filter from my busted lower intake box.

Got it caked in mud. Received my rugged ridge roof rack cargo net to keep things from accidentally falling off.

Or trim the liners.

And another one, After day 2 and more mud.

And upon return:

Met up with some off-roading buddies
