Seems like everything is there, but I wouldn't pay 600$ although he does came it's rebuilt and has MM manual hubs...

I'm assuming here (going on theory since I have never done this) the mounts on the bumper sit lower thus covering and fitting nicely to the grill and lights. You would have to make or weld brackets (I think mentioned before) or do a 2 inch body lift lol Personally (being an experienced welder, but it's been 3 years) I would buy the bumper and make it fit, it will sit nicely it's just the mounting brackets would be different Now if I'm wrong, someone correct me, I'd hate to lead you down a wrong path, but damn it we will find it! (Pun heavily intended) That's what I was looking for.. Oh and I forgot to mention, you will loose strength in your bumper if you use brackets. This is the downfall. There is proper ways and cheap ways with everything. I remember reading on people extending there stock front bumper up after a body lift and loosing strength as it tends to fold back after impact, food for thought I'm sure if you weld angle pieces you won't have this issue

Wow, I just read this old thread.. A lot of info and a lot of hate lol http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/22801-front-axle-options-for-sas/ Even tho it's a front axle thread they give a lot of information on rear options as well. What especially interest me is the breaking strength on axle shafts! I would have to agree with nismothunder, stock h233b in the rear is flipping strong! Upgrade here and there you'll be good to run up to 35, I'd even say 36 but any larger you'll be pushing it. If you want indestructible rear, 14b is the way to go and if I'm not mistaken its cheaper than a d60
-
I will be in contact about the upgrades in the rear h233b im interested in upgrading to a 33 spline etc etc I'm sure there is a hole list of parts ill need Diamond axle using d60 steering components, this interested me, I haven't heard anything about this, could you point me in a direction? Btw sorry for the thread jacking lol
-
Really? I am going to have to look into this, when I do my sas/4bt swap I was going to use a Dana 44 upfront and the h322b in the rear, I'm curious about the ford 9" on the length and if they make a front axle in the 9" because with the torque of the diesel I'm expecting to break the 44 but I don't want to cut down a Dana 60 (especially the front) and loose axle clearance for strength. Plus I assume the h322 front axle will be a lot harder to find after market parts for, but might be worth it for strength... Well after work I'm going to do some research, I shall post my results comparing front ends
-
Here are some facts for you... Dana 44 Ring Gear: 8.5" Axle Diameter: Axle Splines: Nissan H233B: Ring Gear: 9.17" Axle Diameter: 1.31" Axle Splines: 33 (on the Xterra) Ford 9" Ring Gear: 9" Axle Diameter: 1.33" Axle Splines: 31 *Pinion has additional bearing for support which adds significant strength under load. Dana 60: Ring Gear: 9.75" Axle Diameter: 1.50" Axle Splines: 35 I made a thread in general forums called h233 upgrades but this is the brunt of the information, as you can tell the nissan rear end is strong, surprisingly strong, as for a front end... I wish they made a front h233b lol

Putting hardbody fenders on a pathfinder

Lol fair enough, take some pictures after I'm curious on how it looks compared to the rear -
Putting hardbody fenders on a pathfinder
cvdloc replied to Reecehenry's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
I have a 87 hardbody and a 95 pathfinder xe, I have parked them side by side and without taking anything off, I am confident they are the same (cab up) I'm interested in what they look like on the pathfinder, looks mean. Are you looking for these because of the bigger wheel wells? Or just as a replacement? Btw welcome!! -
Just did a little bit of research and it seems like a lot of guys are running at 27-20 psi (highway) and as low as 13 on trail. What is the psi rating on the 33's
-
Hmm, have you tested it out using a different gauges? What brand and tire size are they? I personally never had this issue so I'm not to sure of the causes, otherwise just go back and complain, they might just give you new tires, but if all 4 are the same, maybe this is a common issue? Or that just the way they sit
-
Oh then you got nothing to worry about, your on a good road, protect the autos, I went threw 2 before I did an auto to standard swap, never installed a cooler thou, I just like standards better anyways. It will look nice with the little lift, looking forward to some pictures!
-
I'm sure it will be a bit stiffer but nothing major, looks better without the front lean lol all it really does is tilt your wheels, when I did my last pathy I had to raise it 3inchs, it was a tad noticeable, but I took it to a shop the next day and did a rotation and alignment plus my tires were less than 10k old. If you didn't bump it up a lot and you got older tires, I wouldn't worry about it until you get new tires, just be warned!
-
You might want to consider getting an alignment done after you crank your tb's, you will wear your tires more if you don't.
-
Hahah oh boy, that is good lol i like that, shotgun Shell switch. Anyways my question is location of the light under the hood and how it handles the heat, curious cause it looks like it sits ontop of that air intake manifold thing. I'm sure you've done your homework and its a non issue but have you drove it around, no melting? Personally I have a couple pressure switches and I was thinking about trying this, but ill one up you with 2 lights lol one mounted on either side of the hood, just thinking might light up more area in the sides of the motor? Just an idea, but I really like what you have done!!
-
Lol well I know I won't be doing an redline clutch drops, I guess it comes down to how I drive it, if I'm rough on it, well ill be replacing parts. If I drive it, for lack of better words, smart, ill be able to extend the life, basically I'm counting on breaking it lol Just curious here, I know the h233b is 61" while the Dana 44 is 63" for axle length, what is a Dana 60 for length?
-
I will have to look into that fleurys, but I am going to swap the internals out, and upgrade that way. I assume the parts I would get would alrighty be treated, but doesn't mean it would be useless for other parts, thanks!
-
Damn that's a lot of info, I like it, thank you very much slartibartfast! I would just like to quote this... Dana 44 Ring Gear: 8.5" Axle Diameter: Axle Splines: Nissan H233B: Ring Gear: 9.17" Axle Diameter: 1.31" Axle Splines: 33 (on the Xterra) Ford 9" Ring Gear: 9" Axle Diameter: 1.33" Axle Splines: 31 *Pinion has additional bearing for support which adds significant strength under load. Dana 60: Ring Gear: 9.75" Axle Diameter: 1.50" Axle Splines: 35 It looks like its a bit better than a ford 9", and in-between a d44 and d60, so a 44 is out of the question. But the issue that got brought up is cost.. I'm looking to locker it, upgrade shafts etc, and aftermarket parts are expensive, question is, how expensive? I have the axle, stock of course, but the cost between getting a d60 w/ locker, splines and shafts (shortened) would be threw the roof compared to expensive aftermarket parts for h233b? I never looked into the cost as well as shortening a d60, it might be out of my league. Also, anyone upgrade to 33 splines? That might be a good option as a Dana 60 is 35 And lastly it seems like twisting and bending due to high torque and high hp, well if I throw the 4bt in there... High torque And I also want to dual tcase or something to lower the crawl ratio (I want to be able to walk faster than my truck in its lowest gear to give you an idea lol) it seems like you can add bars or something to it, I didn't read too much into the details on that, to stop it from twisting which sounds like a must for me.
-
Oh that is cheaper than I thought, that it defiantly worth it. Luckily on my pickup the box and cab are perfectly parallel, but I'm sure being a 87 I'm sure there are week points. Thanks for the info!
-
Hey guys, I'm sure it's on here somewhere but I can't seem to find it, anyways what are the options for strengthening the pathfinder rear axle, h233. I have a parts 95 xe-v6 pathy and I am doing my 87 pickup project including a cummins 4bt swap! Kingman gave me the idea to use the h233, instead of a shortened Dana 60 (would save me quite a bit of money) now my worrys... Will it be strong enough to support the torque of a diesel, almost double the torque of the v6, I know it's stronger than a Dana 44 and I have seen people use them with the cummins motor, in short I'm paranoid lol Anyways just looking for specs, personal experiences, upgrade options, and how hard is it to find gears for it to lower the ratio. Thanks guys!!!
-
Oh really, that would make things a lot easier, if you don't mind me asking about the cost? Unless you had a friend who does this lol, I bet it wouldn't be too bad with a torch and a grinder but that would take time..
-
Very interested in this!!! I might have to ask a couple questions!
-
The sad truth of ifs I just want to cut it out and throw thermite on it!! Lol same with auto hubs!! Buuurrrrn!!!! Can you tell I have had issues with these lol Thanks for the info there ezlife!! I'm going to have to get on the computer and check those out
-
It's probably an assuie thing, or special order? I have seen a Toyota hi lux something like that, looked cool, right hand drive Diesel engine, but your ready for it... Aluminum heads!!! Garbage!! But like you said it's a newer engine, seems like a lot of companies are doing diesel options now, f&@kin f150 has an Eco diesel. I'm sceptical on newer engines (matter of fact newer trucks) everything is electronicized and its becoming harder to work on or false info!!! Aka electronic short (maybe I'm just not learning with the new age) I trust mechanical, good ol hard wire lol Damn, pathfinder, bulletproof motor (up to speculation), surprisingly and rediculous stong tranny, tcase is the size of your torso, nissan rear tougher than a d44. Damn that's a solid truck!! Now time to do something with that IFS... Unless you have some facts for us kingman lol
-
They make nissan diesels? Hmm research time... And that not a bad price, cummins is cummins and it cummins with a price (clever eh?) I'm still saving up and researching, still open to changes
-
Holy bananas!! 500! Never would have guessed, and I know the rear diff is tough but I don't know, I'm having trust issues lol, although I do have my pathfinder, I could steal the rear diff... But I'd have to convert it to leafs which shouldn't be hard, cheap too cause its free! And then I could always build my d60 for a swap later on or when it breaks. Food for thought.. But still, 500! I'm having a hard time believing you, but I trust you kingman
