  1. I agree with adamzan, I know you can buy replacements, not sure on the cost or if you can buy just the brake plates (might come in some bulls... Kit that has the other washers etc)... Might be worth it to grab manual hubs in the end? can't you tell I'm pro manual
  2. That not a bad price at all.. Never thought to go to home depo
  3. When your ifs squeaks and barks at you when going over a small bump... Damn you stock rusted out shocks... Sas! Sas!
  4. I ended up buying a 3" 30' at princess auto 27000lbs rating, comes in a case where I threw in a 5/8" and 3/4" shackles, and strap was on sale reg 70$ got it for 50$.
  5. So I was bragging to my friends that I went down on a surrey girl the other night, now they keep calling me gristle licker... Hahah Alright my foreman showed me this song and I dig it just on the way home for the long weekend, getting stoked!
  6. Yeah that's napa, honestly the best way is to use a discount, say you are a student even tho you haven't gone to school in years (I save roughly 60% on tools at lordco) use a friends account or a big company (drum brakes for my hardbody when from 50$ down to 30$ and even a brand new radiator for a jeep Cherokee cost us less than a 100$) but the issue is the larger discount is on bulk items and or common items. Tried to get warn hubs priced out, only got a 5% discount (but I talked to the guy and he went down to 15%) I always ask for the best deal, Bargon with them. Just little things I learned over the years, especially being in Vancouver, I only have north shore offroad (expensive as sh!t) for parts otherwise I'd be going to napa or lordco. It does seem a bit ridiculous, I agree with redpath88, go in and talk to them I'm sure it will be a lot cheaper. Atlease half the cost
  7. Did my first tow out (in my hardbody) to my friends Cherokee and went surprisingly easy, obviously he was in reverse too. But we ran into a strap issue, all we had was a 15' chain with one hook and nothin on the other side, and a 2500kg nylon rope I use for work, neither worked. Ended up borrowing a strap, just reached, and worked no problem. Now tonight ill be getting a good strap (3" by 30') and 2 shackles, so when my friend gets stuck next I can pull him out without borrowing a strap I nicknamed my truck, first try nissan, haven't got stuck yet... Knock on wood
  8. Bc loins! cfl ftw! Otherwise I have to cheer for Seattle but I don't pay attention too much to nfl
  9. Since the fire is that close... I would let it slide this time lol
  10. Hey... I quoted myself instead of edited and I can't delete my post lol Period.
  11. Yes, someone that feels my pain!! Lol I am finishing my fourth year electrical at okanagan college (I get living out expenses plus ei, 4 day weeks and a big white season pass ) personally I like it better than bcit, did pre app (first year) with bcit and meh, can't say too much since it was free and a high school program (yes I graduated college before high school) anyways back on topic I'm just finishing up my apprenticeship, should be a full ticketed jm within a year Yeah, I'm at a 20% surcharge totalled my friends nissan Altima on the way back from whistler hahah good times we both equally hated that car, and it's just the way it had to go, that's the conclusion, rear ended someone in the process, but that's neither here nor there... And used it as a pick up line that night, cutie ginger with a big ol' booty dated her for over a year, don't judge
  12. Nissan Pathfinder Owner's Rehabilitation Assistance NPORA
  13. Had the check engine(on since day 1), tire carrier (I removed that boat anchor and strapped my spare in the rear), and window fluid (fluid was full usually carried extra with me) then abs was moody. I had a flipping Xmas tree lighting up infront of me!! Those damn black plastic 'scopes' on the front hood falling out!
  14. Damn, might be worth it to fill up a barrel and ship it here, would be cheaper hahah
  15. Honestly I'm a nissan guys first, then cummins power I'm planning a 4bt swap into my hardbody! Just need to save up while asking Santa for some Dana 60's lol Anyways my opinion is, this is flippin sweet, but I am curious about this v8... Would have to see more details before I can give an honest opinion, yet I'm quite interested..
  16. Very curious to see what the truck looks like afterwards and how well it took the water. But that's defiantly one way to put out the fire lol I like it
  17. Lol well I didn't know about that. I had it so tight at one time when I tried to take the drum off it was taking the pads with it too haha Went for a longer cruise everything seems fine, brakes the same without the rear squeal, but I noticed (at lower speeds just coming to a stop) and rotating squeak, not sure if its front or rear, could be a warped rotor, honestly not too concerned about it.
  18. Tackled drum brakes for the first time today... Always been scared, but went surprising easy... Only confusing part is adjusting afterwards, I did it so I could hear it scraping the drum, I'm sure it's fine, the adjuster will do it's job, rest drove it and it brakes fine... Does anyone want to add to this? How did you guys adjust it? Btw this is on my d21 4 banger so it has a different rear axle but I'm positive the drums work the same
  19. A tire carrier that weighs close to a ton
  20. Good to hear man! This I bringing back memories for me when I did it last summer, hopefully everything goes smoothly!
  21. Oh did I mention insurance is more too?! Last time I was in school (in kelowna) I was paying 193$ a month, moved back to van, went up to 262$ a month!! Fml Btw filled up today for 135.5 a litre, bargain $70 fill up
  22. It's not that it's high here, it's that other places that are low... Yeah.. Go f yourself Damn, that's flipping high 3rdtimesacharm, i guess that our preview for next summer.. So let me tell you about translink out here, currently I'm working right downtown Vancouver, the main way into town is number 1 hwy, usually 30 minute (morning drive, afternoon, add an hour) drive to get dt, but I have to cross the port Mann... Toll bridge 3.50$ EACH WAY!! Parking is 10$ all day, 17$ total plus gas to get to work (personally I drive out of my way to take the free bridges and that adds 10 min) now if I translink, I have to drive 10-15 minutes to the closest station, 3$ for parking 10$ transit ticket, 40 minute ride on a crowded sky train, so 13$ plus lesser gas. Really is it worth it? I hate people so being shoulder to shoulder with some smelly person and someone else blasting dub step sounds (it ain't music!!) and if I take the free bridge and drive out of my way... Damn why do I still live here well atlease in 5 months I'm moving to kelowna for school, then ill be fully ticketed!! Time to F off, make some real money and work on my nissans Sorry for the little rant, I hate but love Vancouver I'm going threw emotions
  23. I bet you guys can all guess... All the top ten cities are in the lower mainland!!! http://bc.ctvnews.ca/lower-mainland-gas-prices-highest-in-north-america-study-1.1409990 This blows, y'all can laugh at me while I'm filling up at 144.9 a litre that's roughly 550 a gallon, it has been up to 156.9! Luckily I just go to Costco, 131.9 bulk food, bulk gas And im stoked to pay that... What did you pay last time you filled up?
  24. I give you.. The compilation...
