  2. Less maintenance, no clutch plates yup easier but is the lock-right ok for DD's.

  4. Sorry to bring this back out of the pit of forgotten posts. LSD swap or Lock-Right? Anyone seen a No-Slip model for our rig's? I still want to use it as a daily driver but need the traction that the stupid open diff won't provide.
  5. We ran down the road, and its hard to determine. My brother and I believe it is coming out of the tran's(loudest right by the stick). And it only happens in fifth. Fourth was just belts fixed that, cause it happened in every gear. So i think my fifth gear is going or the bearing holding it? Have no clue about transmission's's, but thats my thought?

  7. I do have a hole in my muffler that has been getting bigger, maybe it has found the resonance point and whistles?
  8. No, it stays about the same noise as I drive down the freeway.
  9. Lately when going on the freeway, either in fourth or fifth, around 3500 rpms, I get this sound of a turbo? Now I know I don't have a turbo, wish I did. But none the less it is only when under power. I'll let off the gas and the noise will stop but when I push the gas to maintain or accelerate. I get a turbo like whine. The noise doesn't happen when in 1-3 gears only when going high rpms, 50 mph above. Diff? Drive-line? Belts?
  10. Found this while exploring down by Randle, Washington. Its a small rift or canyon that has some very deep water.
  11. WaRshington? Yeah I caught that. Why do you have so much rust? Were you continuously pulling on the bolt? That builds pressure and heat which leads to shearing. Try short high pressure hits, with a low impact hammer or a impact wrench to get old bolts out.

  15. Ive never used mine. But I have heard that was what it was for, but I could be wrong.
  16. Would the button prehaps say Inter-Lock? This would not lock the diffs but lock the transmition, so you don't roll back as you start on a hill. The engine would be good for the rig but have you thought of the 3.3l swap, if you're going to swap why not do that?
  17. Just swap the engine. Should bolt right up to your tran. and fit perfectly. All you should have to do is the intake pipe, tubes and wires.

  19. I also forgot to mention, could it be a bearing? Or do the parts on the inside move with it?
  20. I move mine for about 8 or so mm and then the wheel turns, have you checked some parts in your column? Look at what parts turn and the which don't, that should lead to the problem.
  21. SkiBumBrianI had the same problem, if it is the switch, thats easy. I blew about 7 or so fuses before I found out the a wire in one of the lights was shorting. The only thing I hadn't checked and it was an easy fix.
