  1. Alrighty I guess you can delete this post. I found out one simple problem in my trouble shooting process, that was cause it all.
  2. So I had this problem not too long ago where I get into the rig and try to crank it over. The relay and the starter click, but not enough to actually crank. It just makes a constant clicking noise as I try to start the rig. I put a new starter in and same problem, I'm at a loss currently.
  3. I tinkered around underneath and messed with some plugs and wires seems to have gone. For now. The late response is due to me still having no power.
  4. So after my little snow run on Sunday, my 4x4 light has been flashing when in two wheel drive. It's not in 4x4 but the light is just flickering, only when driving. Leads me to beleive a loose wire, or sensor? Anyone concur?
  5. You can't a mod will pip on here soon enough and snip them away. Just keep in mind that tap talk will say an error, but you yourself should refresh the page to check if it indeed posted. You are not the first and won't be the last.
  6. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/37584-full-spare-tire-rack-install/ This is what I did to make it fit.
  7. Went and secured it in the motor pool at my armory. My unit has been activated to help fight the fires in WA. See you guys in a few weeks, as I will have no personal gear or time for awhile.
  8. Well I did a bit more running around today and picked up some mounts for a spade and axe for the roof rack I installed earlier in the morning.
  9. I under stand that, it is like a 2-3 mile antenna tho. My buddy can send his out from his house to the free way, but I'm not hearing anything past 300m or so. I can transmit to his house 1.7 miles away but I can't hear him
  10. I have no actual loops I fed the rest up and down the b pillar
  11. The bracket it grounded to the tire rack I have tested the ground and it's good, I might run another ground strap from it to the frame tho for extra ground. The cable runs down the side of the body behind the rear speakers and just under the dash, then it tucks under the air outlet under the radio area. I also have a problem with the wipers and window cleaner making my cb act like I'm receiving.
  12. ^ I will put it in my build thread, but in at drill till like 11 tonight. They aren't going to release us for a while but I will get photos of it finished, as well as a quick install.
  13. So I got my CB radio installed and tuned. I have ch1 at 1.6, ch40 at 1.5 and ch20 at 1.1 for SWR levels. Leads me to believe I have it tuned pretty well for thrown together parts. I can kind of hear people at my house on ch8 but can't talk to them. I work next to the freeway and during lunch went to play. On ch17 I get lots of back ground noise when I turn the rf gain up past half of the turn. It fills the meter up to #3 out of 4. I have full output power as far as the meter tells me. I have yet to get a response on any channel. Using a Uniden 520xl, a 3ft tunable antenna, a firestik mount on the tire rack rear passenger side, and a 18ft coaxial cable. I think the cable is a cheaper one so that might be a problem, but I would like so CB expert show his knowledge.
  14. The cb arrived today so I wired it all up and tuned it. I can only it it 1.7 on 1 and 40 but 1.2 on 20. Im happy with it but would like to be a tad lower
  15. My whip and coaxial cable arrived today. Got it mounted and routed the cable behind the inner panels, looks like a very clean install. Now to wait for my radio to show up and get it all tuned
  16. Decided it was time to gather the rest of my cb set up for the rig. Kicking myself for doing it now because hunting season is coming up fast and now I want new gear, maybe a new bow haven't decided.

  17. Welcome, where in Washington are you?
  18. Check your muffler bearing Like they said check for the heat shield. I would also go look for a old hanger that might be hitting something.
  19. Usually they are ran with a wire to the low beams wire, so you have to have the running lights on to have the fog lights on. If you hear the relay clicking it's means that wire is probably good. So you might have a broken wire to the light. The best thing I can say is go around and check for continuity on the wires.
  20. I don't go offroading a lot but do have a group of buds who go up often. Ive been with them and only had to get pulled twice. That's when my rocker panels got smashed. I was thinking swapping the whole 3rd would have been easier then getting the lsd itself, glad to know that it's a drop in. Guess I need to go source a 3rd member and some gear oil. It's gl-4 80w90, with an lsd additive correct?
  21. So im tired of getting stuck with one tire on the air, and having friends pull my up the tiny off camber hills. I was wondering if it's just a drop in or did the lsd rears have stronger axles? I know, I know "Why not just swap the whole axle and get disk brakes?" Well I would like to, but if I want the disk brakes couldn't I just swap the hubs assembly?
  22. I think you can unplug the neg. terminal and press the break for a bit, and also use the key to apply the accessories function just to be sure.
  23. That's the transfer case it is a separate part. I think it uses atf fluid. Matic d or something And I put new parts on it because they were a few years old. It was only 120 total, with military discount. Without it would have been like 135, so not to expensive. I was also trying to figure out why I have a stumble when it's cold and idling, it's not the parts that I changed by the way.
