  2. Yes my guess would be you threw a rod I have done this in a chevy truck and pretty same results hole in oil pan motor blown it happens.Just change out motor if possible.Pathfinders are still a reliable vehicle dont be putt off by this internal combustion it happens to the best of us.KEEP ON TRUCKING PEACE.
  3. I also own a 95 and its a good vehicle, tach jumping around is common leaking exhust to but easy fix.change timing belt asap and check code's.once the bugs are worked out you will find you have a very reliable daily driver.Good Luck and picture's would be nice as I am a pathfinder fan for life.
  4. I have a 95 pathfinder I took the mud flaps off for a winter and yes it works great on the snow and ice build up but I reinstalled them in the spring cause Around town is allright but did not want to go on he highway without them throwing pebbles or rocks at another vehicle's windshield just isn't cool and out here we have IOWA STATE PATROL and they aren't to kind.
  5. Jim my condolences so sorry to hear about your loss I to lost my mom two years ago I also was the baby of the family I rushed to California from Iowa only to arrive to late. I guess when god calls you cant keep him waiting.I cryed till there was nothing left but to continue on as she would of wanted me to.And you do the same Jim I know how much it can hurt but you just keep your head up and my thoughts and prayers go out to you.GOD BLESS
  6. And what can be done to remedy this situation? What would cause the torsion bar to flex so much that it slaps the under body? Does it mean it's word out?
  7. TO all I crawled underneath and took a serious look. And it's not the frame most likely culprit is bushings. Are they really hard to replace? Do they need to be pressed in.Note there is a foot of snow on ground out here so I will probly wait till spring and warmer weather.Thank you for the support.
  8. Best way to explain is this noise is new.It sounds like a knocking or clunking only when i go over bumps not on smooth pavement or road.I crawled underneath and everything is tight nothing is loose. It has new shocks the coilsprings look fine. The frames rusty could it be separating from body?I had plans to weld metal plates to rusted frame in spring did I wait to long? Any suggestions would be helpful. It runs fine doesnt act any differently just noisey.
  9. Happy! Happy! Birthday! and many many many more.
  10. I TOOK A GRINDER and cleaned up the rust and metal surface to be welded. Then used 1/8 inch steel and mig welded it and used some rustolem to combat the rusted areas on it.Just my fix yours is up to you.

  17. Hey everyone I was putting in some oil in my 1995 se and noticed a small braided wire about a 1/4 inch wide just hanging not attached to anything. It originates under the fuel filter looks like it's plugged in under the fuel filter bracket then ends with a round washer.I have no Idea what it;s supposed to attach to.It's total lenth is around six or seven inches.Anybody else know? I dont know anywhere I can look at a pathfinder to see as they are pretty scarce in these parts.Thank's

  21. So true, Tungsten, what most people don't know is that the fuel cools the fuel pump and also most importantly it lubricates the the pump no fuel or low fuel can indeed fry the fuel pump.
