  1. Wow, any more info on those wheels mark? They are exactly what I'm looking for...
  2. You learn something new every day... Thanks for filling me in! I thought the sole purpose was to center the axle laterally.
  3. They do look nice, too bad I already did a poly swap. That adjustable panhard rod would be so much better than the crappy drop bracket from krf.
  4. You will not be able to use 4wd in any way with the hubs unlocked. Personally I leave mine locked in January through March, because like you said, deep snowy driveways and stuff to deal with every day. The rest of the year I leave them unlocked unless I find I need them, which is pretty much only off road. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  5. There's no question, the R50 is more rust prone than average. I'm certain that mine will die of rot before the drivetrain dies. But I live in eastern Canada, so rust is a constant battle.
  6. 50psi seems really high, are you sure that's not the maximum pressure? I think the stock pressure is around 32psi
  7. Hawairish, I could use a few small trim pieces from a rust free climate, if you are there! Specifically, the lower outside door window trim pieces. Mine are rusted to hell and look terrible
  8. I just realized you have a wd21, I hope it's the same! sorry idk why I thought you had an r50.
  9. OK so I thought I had the jug, but I actually have the one without the additive. I used this stuff in my front diff but the stuff with the additive looked very similar to this iirc (this was 5 years ago now) So I walked next door to Canadian tire, Their store brand stuff has changed its look now. and they don't have the motomaster lsd stuff anymore! I did find this though, should be good but its expensive as all hell at 25 bucks a litre I checked their website http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/search-results.html?searchByTerm=true&q=gear+oil and looks like they have a "posi trac" additive. I think if I were to do it again right now, I would buy this 5L jug and use it in both diffs, and get the posi trac add for the rear diff. Hope that helps
  10. Yep, I'll take a pic of the jug later tonight when I get home for you. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  11. I had actually done this method before taking it in, except I just used a tape measure. Either I suck at taking measurements, or this way will never get 100% accuracy. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  12. That's weird, I found motomaster gear oil with lsd additive at Canadian tire here in Halifax. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  13. Even though the warns come with new studs, I didn't need them at all. The stock studs were long enough to grab all the threads on the nuts.
  14. You can also press the "mode" button to just open the vents up and let fresh air in, I do that a lot to minimize fan noise and hear my music better. Works for heat too in the winter.
  15. Hmmm that dialect sound more Newfoundland than Nova Scotia. I would head on over to nicoclub and grab the factory service manual, here's the URL http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Pathfinder/ I haven't done the job personally but it should be outlined in there.
  16. I have not seen anything like the first ones you showed, they must have added it after since mine is 02 and yours 04. I do have the anchor points with the flap in the cargo area though. Interesting.
  17. It's all good, the one time I had to put 2 toddlers in my car I did find them easier to install with the shoulder belts, I wish the r50 had them for the middle seat too. I still used the hooks in the cargo area too because I figured the more anchor points, the better. I will look later (at work now) but are there hooks under the seat as well? I just realized I may be under utilizing the latch system.
  18. The center lap belt doesn't have a locking mechanism. I'd rather keep her in the middle because it's statistically the safest place in the car, which makes sense from an intrusion view.
  19. Cool thanks guys. It was my understanding all that can be adjusted is front toe. It does drive straight and not wander. Just wondering if it was actually worth the hundred bucks! This is one of those rare things I pay shop labour for.
  20. I'm glad to see this thread because I think everyone with small children should pay careful attention to this. I have only 1 daughter who's currently 30 lbs, I have the car seat forward facing and in the middle. The lap belt is through the bottom tightly and the latch system is over the seat back to the middle hook in the cargo area. It's as tight as I can get it but does still move a little. If anyone has suggestions of a better way to anchor it please let me know!
  21. Took the pathy in for an alignment yesterday because I changed my tie rods over the weekend. Canadian tire gave me this print out of the numbers but it doesn't mean much to me, I don't know if It was way off or just negligible. Help me out please
  22. The conclusion to this finally, adjusting the preload on the wheel bearings took care of the 12 and 6 play. Thanks for that suggestion bushnut. The 3 and 9 play was still present, tie rods were shot. I replaced the inner and outer together and now the front end is rock solid
  23. I put on a Rockford boot and it tore pretty much right away, no spacer lift on so it was running at stock tolorances. The standard rubber one I installed on the other side a year prior is still fine.
  24. Yeah all the body cladding is way different. Sucks because it looks kinda goofy without the stock running boards on.
  25. 1 Million km would be 621,371 miles [emoji14]
