  1. It's a must for you guys to take pics. I was up in Heber last weekend and was playing around on some trails. Woke up Sunday and there was snow. Luckly we had 4x4 and they let us come back to the vally while my parents had to stay another night up there. That was my first time driving in snow and ice. It was crazy and kinda scary at sometimes. But the pathy did great. Wish I was going with you guys I need some propper skills on driving offroad.
  2. Just sad it looks like a minivan!!!!!
  3. Cool you guys are awsome!!!!! Thanks again
  4. Thanks man!!!! This sight is awsome it doesn't take no time for to get answers. And as far as lifters chattering my next oil change I will add some of the Lucas oil to see if that might help. It has 5w30 now what do you guys recommend for my truck in the AZ? The same or 10w30?
  5. Hey guys I have two questions well let's make that three. 1st is when I start the pathy up I now get a little chime sound that beeps a couple of times then goes away. It's coming from the left side of the steering column. What the Hell is it? 2nd I noticed that when I start my truck at night and let it warm up before I hop in it and leave from work that there is a puddle of water under my tail pipe. I checked my oil and there is no water and my coolant hasn't went down either. I know some vehicles do this but my truck is the only one at work that I have noticed doing it. 3rd I also noticed when I start it up after sitting awhile that I get some chatter then goes away after a sec of running. Anything to worry about? Woody runs great and shifts great so I Just figured I would ask. Prob the lifters chattering until it builds up pressure? O and I got my Windows tinted yesterday and we are heading up north to go camping with my parents so hopfully I can find some light trails to play in and get some pics up for you guys to see.
  6. Its not the cv boot its the upper balljoint boot. And i am going to lift it and i have read the 4x4parts pathfinder arms are junk and i have read good things about the rough country. So when i buy my arms just get the hardbody arms from 4x4parts? and any mods i have to do to run them? I wonder why they dont just sell those for both trucks!!!! And Thanks Thats what i have
  7. So after an 1 1/2hrs i reindexed the t-bars again and now they are tucked up in the crossmember and now the upper arms sit just above the bumps. Gonna order up some low pro bump stops and call it a day for the front for now. Im really wanting to buy all new bushings and balljoints among other things when i do the susp lift. I think i managed to rip a upper balljoint boot when i was playing around in the dirt. Found some fresh grease slung on the arm
  8. Yeah im going to drop him down a bit and im gonna order some ultra low bumpstops should i go ahead and get them for the lower arms also? Have them for droop and compressed? And how do you loosen the sway bar? You meen just unbolt it all together right?
  9. So i reindexed my t-bars and he now sits up higer. It went really easy they have been pulled before. Explains why one anchor was further tucked up then the other. Somone went a little to far on one side. But the good news was they greased the splines so i literally slid the anchors off by hand no beating at all. I had the front sitting up a bit higher then the rear 1 1/2 to be exact and i really liked the hight so i was thinkin i could just get rear springs to lift it up a bit but after driving it and playing in the dirt i relized my upper arms where riding the bump stops. Well the local autozone doesnt carry low profile bump stops so i guess i have to lower it a bit then get the alighnment done so i can drive it to work. Ok pics Kinda tucked up in there but im wondering if i lower it to ride off the bumps if the anchors will hang out so maybe i need to index them a spline back. I thought i did 2 but i might have done 3. While i was down there i found this tucked up in the linkages of the transfer case. Sorry no side views but it looks good Well i couldnt resist this lot with dirt hills and deep little washs in it thats in my naborhood so in 4H i went lol
  10. The previous owner didn't like the carrier so he took it off and it never had a light come on about it so they might have unplugged the switch? Idk ill have to look into it more. And thanks for the compliments all the waiting I did payed off but I did get fustrated becuase I couldn't find one that was in decent shape. My girlfriend was getting pissy with me becuase I was getting so bummed out lol
  11. Me and some guys from work went out to dinner and as we where getting back in the pathy my buddy that lives with me racked his elbow on the tire carrier hard!!!!!! I couldn't help but laugh. He talks @!*% about woody and my other nissans lol that's woody getting him back. But on another note woody got some kroil on his t-bars so hopfully they will come off smooth this weekend.
  12. Lol yeah if I would of had the time I would have but we didn't have that much time to get back. You find out any info on the other pathy that was o so sketchy?
  13. I have read this thread and it is a great write up and cant wait to do mine this weekend. But after talking to a buddy and looking under my pathy i dont see how the anchors come off the t-bar. I trust you guys and im not doubting anyone but it looks to me the t-bars are to far into the anchors to have enuff room to slide off and turn. And this can all be done with out dropping the crossmember? Just want to make sure before this weekend Thanks for the writeup Ryan
  14. Thanks and im gonna reindex the torsion bars then get it aligned this weekend and hopefully that will fix it. And my dad told me the tire size and i asked him again and he said they are 32x1150x15 idk ill have a look when i go over there this weekend and find out for sure.
  15. Thanks man And i couldnt find anything bad about these tires also. The only thing is they are noizy but for my first 4x4 i like the sound of them lol Thanks man i love black and it will receive the full chrome package but still look good i have some stuff that i want to do to it that i never seen done on them one is im making custom tail lights should be pretty cool i think you guys will like them. And i may just buy a thermastat for it and pop it in. I havent looked to see where it is or if it will be a pain to install but that might be my problem. Either that or what Dowser was saying not sure if they are easy task to do or not but i guess it needs to be done. And i have seen those links before i have the one where you did the body lift saved. Thanks man i love this truck
  16. I'm not sure on the trip guage but it is nice to have and the front tires where badly wore out on the outside of the tires. I'm guessing from the saggy torsion bars but I want to reindex them and get it alligned this weekend. And I don't mind I picked him up for $2500 but when you add gas and plain tickets and rental car I think its still a good deal. And I payed $600 for the tires mounted and balanced
  17. Thanks And the hardbody was my daily but it started to get a raddle in the front of engine im thinking timing chain but it just sits in the drivway now. Im in the process of building a 4dr nissan hardbody and after i build the cab the blue hardbody is getting used towards the 4dr. I have pics of them both in my thread i started in the new guy section Any info you want on it just ask
  18. Thanks for all the positive comments guys!!! And i dont think there is anything loose under it, it drives and handles great with no movement in the steering wheel but i will look. Do you think i should reindex the pas one more splines then the driver?
  19. 2nd is the temp guage. The highest it goes is in the pic i searched it here on the forum but i never came up with a awnser to my problem. I know it cant run this cool. I plan on installing a tranny cooler and filter with a temp guage but i had to get tires for it first. Next will be ac recharged and tint then prob a body lift and some spacers to get those wheels out a bit till i get my new wheels. My Dad is putting baja claws on his jeep so im getting his 33x11.50x15 BFG MT's till then i need a susp lift and bodylift. I love this pathy its a blast to drive i cant wait to do get the new tires dirty and do some trail riding.
  20. Dang you guys are quick lol I had to buy new tires for the front and with the price of two new geolanders to match the rear it was pretty pricy so my girlfriend did some searching for me and found these little guys for now till i get my 3+3+33s There are 31x10.50x15 hurcules trail diggers. They are some meaty little tires and i like them alot they where just a bit more for all for MTs mounted and balanced. Now for some technical stuff!!! First off now with the new tires i need to bring the front end back up to life so i crawled under to crank the torsions is where i came across the driver side has some room to play but the passenger side is maxxed out. So i guess i need to reindex them but with the passenger one maxxed out do i need to move it 3 splines while i do the driver side 2? Im gonna soke it all in some KRoil today and plan on doing this this weekend. Driver side Passenger
  21. The rear tire carrier mounts where a little worn down so i took them to work and sandblasted them then welded up the wear marks on the strike pin and threw some BBQ grill paint on them for now till i get all the brackets welded up for jack and jerry can then i will have it powder coated flat black.
  22. Hey guys i finally have a pathy in my driveway I have had it about a week now and i finally have time to post some pics up of him. My girlfried actually found the pathy for me, After talking to the guy and getting all the info and pics we booked our tickets to fly into Oakland California that weekend on Sunday. Seemed like Sunday would was never gonna get here lol but finally it was time to fly out. We landed in Oakland at 1:00 sunday afternoon then drove the rental car to his house. When i got there i was kinda worried becuase we where in kinda of a bad naborhood and was thinking the pathy cant be that nice. We pulled up and the pathy was no where to be seen. I texted the guy that we where here and he opened the garage and there he sat. He started Woody up and backed him out the garge into the sun light and i then had the biggest smile on my face. It was soooo clean and looked better then the pics he sent me. He gave me the keys and off around the block i went for a test drive. I was sold as soon as i seen and heard woody fire up. After paying for it heading outside was when he told me that it was his dads truck and it was garage kept and that he named him Woody. I told him that i would keep the name and it kind just flows with the truck for some reason. We then headed back on our trip 8XX miles back to PHX AZ and he woody rode out all the way back with no problems. Some info on woody he is a 1994 4x4 SE v6 auto Full disc brakes I have all the receipts of when they did oil changes to the new water pump timing belt and rebuilt the top end and tapped new exhuast manifold studs in. Everything runs and shift great the only flaws is the AC does need to be recharged and the dang sun visors sag bad and hang down in my way.Ok enuff talk and onto the pics
  23. This is my rc truck i built. Im waiting to find a decent pathy body to put on it. The rc4wd one is cheap looking and doesnt really look like a pathy. I wish they would have spent more time on making the molds more precise. Look at all the other lexan bodies out on the market they look great and hardly no flaws. I was going to have a guy build me a scratch built one out of stryne but they can get pretty pricy.
