  1. it does have those ... but they aren't near as big as what he is showing there
  2. wish I stilll had my old heads so I could look at them and tell you right away ... I looked in both my Haynes, Chilton and on AllData and couldn't find a clear enough picture or exploded view that showes anything ... however given the nature of those holes they would definately need something to go over it ...

    Idle problem

fuel pressure problem most likely ... regulator may be shot ...
  4. that is definately sweet ... i'd love to see the pics of your mod to the adjuster too ... this will definately be in the very near future for me ... maybe one of these days I wont have to carry a spare around with me ... lol
  5. yeah ... I love it down here ... I moved here in january right during the middle of all that snow ... that was a shocker for me ... hehe ... but it is really dry down here ... I cant drink enough water ...
  6. installation is reverse of removal and voila! and there was light ...
  7. now you'll need to "pinch" the the bulb harness from the top and the bottom, and rotate it to disconnect the "cog" that holds it in ... similar to a push and turn bulb for the blinkers. (see the picture and look where my finger is there, and imagine that you will have to put another finger inbetween there on the TOP part of it - kind of a pain) once you have it disconnect, pull the harness out through the Ash tray hole, and change the bulb
  8. Next you'll be seeing the light refractor that lights it all up - I removed it so I could see what I was looking at, but you wont have to. look at the picture to see the screws you need to remove to get in there
  9. ok ... well I figured it out ... and it isn't that hard ... just be carefull what you pull on! First Step - remove the Outer facia to the Panel, disconnect the Cigar Lighter, and remove the plate that holds the ash tray in place and pull off all the knobs on the control switches Second - Remove the A/C swith or the 'blank' if you dont have a/c (see pic) this will give you room enough to get your finger in there Third - Pull strait out as much as possible and the plate should come right off - it's only snapped on there, so make sure you pull as far towards the center of it as possible (look where my finger is in the pic - and try to pull there) ... continued
  10. hooters kicks hiney :cool2: hey do you happen to have a welder at your disposal?
  11. prescott eh? ... sweet ... I went flying over there not too long ago ... Tuesday I think ... temps down here are in the upper 80's to low 90's ... plenty of wind though to keep at least a little cool ... and I am sure that you can Imagine me coming from Seattle, this is quite a change! lol ...
  12. hmmm ... that is interesting ...
  13. really? they share the same carrier between the two or something?
  14. hmmmm ... have you reset your computer lately? ... and it would be fair to say that you already have your timing set correctly ... and the o2 sensor is new yes? ... have you pulled to o2 to make sure that it isn't completely black too? ... maybe there is an obstruction to it making it read wrong ... other than that I would just say drive it for a bit ... and see what happens ...
  15. I live in Glendale ... I just moved here the beginning of the year to attend school ... I'd love to get together and work on trucks! I'd love to do some wheelin too, but wont be doing anything too serious ... it's the only vehicle I have at the moment! I dont have a garage either or a place to work on my rig ... I have been considering getting a storage unit or a Hangar at the airport I attend school at for just that purpose ...
  16. could be any number of things ... how long have the plugs been in there? ... if they have been in there for quite some time, you should expect to have some black on it ... especially with all the idle problems you were experiencing ... and having the oxygen sensor unplugged ... so I would suspect that really there isn't any problem there ... drive it for a couple thousand and then pull a couple of the plugs and see what it looks like ...
  17. well ... that sucks ... its just the rust eating away at the metal ... definately should do something about that before it gets out of hand ... and BTW - none of us thinks you are an idiot ... you are learning just like we all have ...
