  1. Hey just wondering if anyone has done this before? I have seen mention of it in some posts here and there but never seen any info on anyone that's done it. I have a 93 WD21 with a VG33E swap. Running the full R50 pathfinder engine/accessories but I am using the VG30E upper intake manifold/tb. My truck is far from stock and I have full headers/2.5" exhaust, soon to be N60 90mm maf and will be going with a custom 2.5-3" snorkel with new pipe all the way to the throttle body. The tiny stock tb/intake manifold inlet hole will be a restriction for sure. I have a couple R50 VG33E intake manifolds and I am trying to adapt it to work with the WD21 chassis. I have everything figured out EXCEPT what to do with the Idle Air Regulator. The IACV-AAC from the vg30e manifold can be swapped to the vg33e manifold but I can't figure out where to put the air regulator. Everything else will swap over with a few hoses moved around and some plugs in the manifold and creativity but I am stumped on what to do with the air regulator... I am assuming it's not something that I can delete and have the truck run the same... As a last resort it looks like I could machine down a spot for it to fit if I drill out a hole in the manifold and tap some holes for the mounting bolts...would probably have to have the flange surface machined professionally though to seal properly....can only be so accurate with a grinder and files lol. I also heard about fitting a KA24E throttle body to the vg30e manifold but could only find info for a z31 manifold...not the pathy mani.. I would go that route if its that much easier and I can get an even larger tb out of the deal. Anyone done anything like this ?
  2. Started converting a 97 pathfinder vg33e intake manifold to work on my vg33e swapped 93 path(currently using vg30e intake manifold) . I want the extra flow and bigger throttle body. So far so good just one last issue to work out..
  3. I think they are m10x 1.5 mm thread pitch but someone else may want to chime in..
  4. Lifted the new vg33 out of the trailer, cleaned the back of the engine and replaced the rear main seal, put it on the engine stand....then beer
  5. Was the rad from another type of truck? Or just an aftermarket pathfinder rad? I'm looking for an oversized option.....
  6. So we got the VG33E out of the 99 pathfinder. My lady went there at around 10;15 to start pulling electrical connectors and lines and I got there at 11:30 to do the heavy stuff and we had it out by 4:30. By far the quickest VG pull I've ever done...the pick-a-part staff was running a bet that we WOULDN'T get it out in time for closing. We showed them with 30 minutes to spare (so I guess someone owed someone 10$) ! To be fair it wasn't on the trailer until 5:00 lol. All in all it was a successful day and now we will have two 1993 Pathfinders with VG33E's! I am however starting to fear that her 93 will be faster than my 93 since hers is manual and mine is auto! I'm hoping my intake/headers/exhaust/tune will make up the difference LOL I still can't believe we got the engine for 187$ with just over 100K Kilometers.
  7. Two pages back from this page near the bottom are the pics. All the info is on the first couple pages. Read everything and there's no way u will have any issues.
  8. Okay dude...I made this thread....go back one page and all the pics are there. I already updated them. Go through the thread pages and READ! I couldn't have made it any more clear. There's so much information and 10+ pictures.
  9. sick dude. good job up that ledge. showing the jeep whats up hey haha
  10. Went to pickapart with my lady today and she bought her vg33e for the swap in her 93 Path SE(99 pathfinder se donor) with low km. 187$ out the door with a 25$ core charge so 162$ after tax! Going to go pull it tomorrow. We will both be rocking a 93 WD21 with a R50 VG33E swap lol.
  11. Finished flux cleaning my new ecu after modifying it with an eprom socket
  12. Obx headers are great. Held up well after a couple years now. No issues at all I love them!
  13. Well I just finished getting the 240SX all up and running on a custom tuned ECU, got it all ready for the turbo setup. Now it's time to do the Pathfinder! I've got a 1993 Pathfinder with a VG33E swap. VG30E cams, high flow custom intake, OBX headers, 2.5" custom exhaust (hi-flo magnaflow cat/flowmaster muffler). All this is running on a stock Pathfinder 3.0 fuel system and tune and frankly it's not keeping up. There is some serious untapped power and economy with my setup so it's time to tune the pathfinder! I will also be getting rid of the seriously tiny stock maf and using a massive N60 Maxima maf and modifying a modern vg33e intake manifold/65mm throttle body. So here's the Pathfinders ECU once you remove the lid and desolder the stock EPROM IC. Here's a shot from the rear. Be careful when it's apart! Static damage and physical damage alike will can the board! Close-up of the desoldered traces. Still needs a little clean up before the new socket goes in. Here's the stock EPROM. 28 pin DIP socket installed in the board and good to go! Stock EPROM back in for now, ready for custom tunes! Just waiting on a few more parts in the mail before the process begins. Will update asap!
  14. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/26616-factory-service-manuals/ heres the fsm page. 94-95 is the only years available digitally, hopefully its the same. should have what u want
  15. very cool, love it. thats wicked you r50 guys can make a skid plate out of a totally flat skid plate...man that makes it easy.
  16. yeah i only have about 25k on my duratracs now but they are still nearly new, very little wear on them so far. drive them year round.... they have been lasting me really well but I do have a really good alignment.
  17. haha no problem. my steering had about 1/4 inch of play in 2 joints before I did this, you should enjoy it..especially if your truck is lifted.
  18. I use goodyear duratracs personally.... they are the best tire I have ever had... Best in snow, ice, mud and dirt/rocks than any other A/T tire. Rides like an a/t, gas mileage of an a/t, weight of an a/t. But it looks like a mud tire...wheels like a mud tire. Clears like a mud tire. Never hydroplanes, stops HARD in the snow/ice (snowflake symbol). If you want a daily driver tire that gets great mileage , great wear life, VERY LITTLE road noise at all, but wheels like an aggressive offroad tire and is equally good in the snow AND hardpack ice...this is the one. I absolutely love mine in 33x12.5. They make a 31x10.5 version as well.. look into it.
  19. My pathys rear links are all straight.....near perfectly straight...
  20. nice man thats a sick sedan r32. I am currently going ka-t on the s13 and i also just finished restoring a 1990 300ZX Z32 "slicktop" (hardtop) that my neighbour smashed and sold to me for uber cheap. just replaced the whole front rad support assembly and the front of the unibody and replaced all the broken parts. looks right back to stock again. it's getting ready for a VH45DE swap i didn't work on MY pathfinder today but tomorrow I will be going to pull a 2003 frontier VG33E for my girlfriends 1993 Path SE. Gunna be a sick swap, has the higher power 180hp 202ft lbs vg33
  21. My research tells me that the WD21 is about 200lbs heavier despite its smaller physical size. 1995 WD21: Curb Weight, lbs. 3795 1997 R50: Curb Weight, lbs. 3675 Those are the official weights via Consumerguideautomotive. So it should feel a little slower in a WD21 for the same given power. About the same as adding a person to the vehicle. Anyways, I'm going to try it out. If I don't like it I can always go back to the stock cams. I do have a lot of air-flow mods (intake/headers/exhaust) and soon to be custom tuned ECU as well as a 2003 frontier intake manifold/throttle body (60mm) and N60 Maxima maf (90mm) so I think the cams will have more gain in my truck as opposed to a closer to stock truck. I'll try it out anyways!
  22. so you were driving a 97 pathfinder before but later bought a wd21 pathfinder and then swapped the 97's 3.3 into the wd21 and at the same time swapped the 3.0 cams into the 3.3? sorry just trying to get the scenario here.. well if it feels the same speed then maybe it would technically be more powerful since the r50 is a lighter vehicle overall than the wd21? is it like...very close or is there more accelleration and grunt in one than the other?
  23. yup CLSD found in 87-89 turbo models and some NAs were equipped. aluminum finned diff cover gives it away. just started to thread to see if there were any OTHER options ie: C200 LSD etc
  24. sick dude im building a KA24DE-T 240SX right now, just got it up and running on nismotronic ECU. going to be running 450cc injectors, n60 maf, walbro 255lph fuel pump, aiming for around 350whp and even more torque in my little S13 what are you throwing the RB25DE into???
