  1. So far so good! Even with the slight changes I've made so far, the gf pathy can make it up hills in 4th gear at 50km/h without any bogging that she used to have to shift down to third for! And we have only added a small bit of timing on the timing tables thus far and the engine is still pig rich under load (like all pathy are for some reason). Waiting for the second wideband o2 to show up and her new exhaust to go in before we continue to push the tune. I'm also working on a custom piece of electronics to have full time knock monitoring with a knock light. Lots of fun things in the works! I'll keep posted for sure!
  2. I love white and black pathy . Loooove white on a clean s13 hatchback as well but I'll stick with my misty blue metallic. Never see that colour in them. White and black are also my colours of choice for a z32
  3. Well yeah if you are going to change it every 5 K anyways then there's no point at all. Agreed there for sure. My gf has been running it in her pathy for 7 K now and on her second oil filter and the oil is still light tan. We shall see how it works out
  4. Actually cost per year is least for amsoil than any other oil since it's life span is so long. You will go through 2 oil filters before you have to change the oil. I was surprised by this but the third party tests state 11300 miles of extreme use between oil changes and it doesnt lose wear protection until 25000 miles. Costs 50$ per 11300 miles which is damn reasonable if u ask me. Pretty impressive
  5. Haha on that page you just gave also shows amsoil as some of the highest wear protection period WITHOUT any additives. Amsoil is also the best diesel oil he's ever tested.
  6. There's a guide in the factory service manual how to set the full front end alignment. In the steering section. U can download the fsm in the garage section
  7. I took my 240sx a while back with a new o2 sensor and factory 25 year old cat. It measured 0, 0, 0, 1 for the respective categories. Pretty much breathes air lol. The test guy was stunned to say the least.
  8. Use the guide on checking ecu codes and then report back with any codes before we get started please
  9. I've had a red 93 pathy for about 7 years now and I've ALWAYS wanted to paint it black. But instead I got a super clean 92 that's already black! So stoked.
  10. http://www.kc-synthetic-oil.com/AMSOIL-vs-royal-purple.html here's some good info on the top motor oils. Surprisingly enough, mobile 1 and red line are some of the worst. amsoil is either at or near the top on every single test. Over all for oil life and wear protection as well as cold crank viscosity it's hands down the best
  11. Baldwin for air filter wix/Napa oil filter amsoil oil these are literally the best you can get based on actual lab and field studies and not just advertising. My girlfriend works in a high end lube shop and is obsessed with proper maintenance . These are the golden ticket if you want the best of the best
  12. I run vg30 headers on my vg33 (in a wd21 anyway), all I had to do was drill out the stud holes a bit with a step drill to fit the larger 10 mm exhaust studs
  13. Cause then the truck doesn't have visible fender mounting points and looks more streamlined. U think a pathfinder is a pain? Try it on a 240sx. Z32 300zx is surprisingly the easiest fenders I've ever replaced. I can get the fenders off my z in like 30 mins flat. I hear ya tho, body work is never fun... i don't know how people do that for work! (No offense to any body work people's in here)
  14. Sweet man that's bad a$$!
  15. I used a Tru cool 18 000 gvw cooler. It's physically smaller than most coolers since it's a more efficient design so fits with no problems and it has a built in bypass valve that bypasses coolant from the cooler until it reaches temp so you don't have hard shifts from over cooling when it's cold in the winter and u first fire up the truck
  16. Don't they also use those to tow behind a motor home?
  17. It's super simple to delete the clutch interlock relay. Just jumper it out with heavy gauge wire and tape it up. We did that to Kats truck and no issues since. Canadian pathfinders aren't even supposed to have clutch interlock, I don't know why they put it in American trucks. It's annoying !
  18. Oh OK , right on. Was just curious! Can't wait to see it all.
  19. Amsoil is the best motor oil over all. Longest service life and most wear protection. It lasts twice as long as the leading synthetic motor oil so the cost of using it is actually much lower over all.
  20. Are you turning it I to a vg34 with high compression as well?
  21. Got to love that slow crawl. I'm torn whether to go with crawler gears or dual boxes when i convert to manual Trans on my rig... awesome!!
  22. No problem! It's been a fun one and really rewarding when it all works out! I'll keep posted once the wideband o2 arrives and I finish my knock sensor monitor circuit for data logging, then the real fun begins to see what we can get extra on this motor while still keeping it completely safe and healthy and avoiding detonation entirely. It's a little easier when I live at sea level and in a mild climate with no smog requirements, its the ideal power making conditions! haha..... cause. . Moh powah is moh bettah!
  23. I wouldn't pry on the crank gear either. I've pulled one quite a few times and just a little wiggle and persuasion by hand was always enough to break it loose. I've also used a soft rubber mallet to tap gently on the edge of the gear just to break any corrosion bond loose as I work it forward with my hand. Never had any issues doing that
