yep, i'm on this project right now too, got as far as getting the horn pad off, moved onto the puller and couldn't find any bolts that would thread into those holes; the bolts that came with the puller didn't quite work. anyone know what size those bolts might be so i don't have to buy five different kinds at home depot tomorrow? =)

my lights up top are the PIAA 520 smr variety (55w) , spendy but they work really well, just make sure they're mounted far enough forward that the light doesn't flood down your windshield, it kinda does for me, and the lights are more like long distance kind. the ones on my prerunner bar are pro comp 100w, much cheaper and i like them actually better... they really brighten up the area in front of the truck, the stuff that you're more worried about than the stuff 200 ft. away.

sure, some of the items you see for real cheap with extra shipping costs, like phone chargers for 5 cents + $10 shipping, etc... but the majority are people charging an acceptable price on the item AND shanking people for the shipping... everything i sold on ebay, i charged shipping according to the automatic shipping estimate dealy you can put on your page + $1 for my time...

your housings will pretty much butcher any effect you might get from HID lights... they need a whole different type of reflector to work properly. read up on the stuff on that lighting site, it's all pretty good information.

WTF! grr i hate people who play the system and try to prey on other people...

yeah, the sylvania silverstars apparently aren't all that great, not that i'm one to talk because i fell into the trap of PIAA bulbs, but like he says, the ones to get are the xtravision, or philips vision plus... some come in some types of bulbs and not others, i'm not sure which # of bulb your pathy takes...

red tops are like $120... the battery was an exide that's about 1-2 years old, and it looks fine, the bottom wasn't eaten away or anything, but the little plastic tray it sits in was physically wet and there was serious battery acid dust stuff all around in there.

it wasn't after i messed with my lights, it had been that way for awhile, lots of junk was corroded but i'm not sure when it started. i read a few other threads on here about red tops and they seemed like a good choice, i know 88 has run his down and recharged it quite a few times and it never posed any problems...?

alrighty so i was outside wiring up my new headlight relays and discovered that my battery had leaked all over the front fender there, stripped the paint and there was corrosion everywhere there was metal. so i think its time for a red top. is there a particular part number i should shoot for? the optima site gave me two, and also said i needed a "height adapter" or something to that effect... any help?

i emailed that lighting guy to see which headlight bulbs he recommended as the best, letting him know that i have a pathfinder with 9004 bulbs... doesn't seem to me a very easily implemented solution unless you're REALLY worried about the performance of your headlights. i guess he would rather see everyone on the road with some euro-spec super headlights =D

the fog lights? yeah they do, but the up-top lights are wired so they only come on when the high beams are on, and the fogs by default can only be on when your lows are on... i've been meaning to fix that =D

have had those pro comp lights and the bar for awhile now but i never got around to wiring the switch up... now its wired up and it works!
