most oil filters are actually manufactured by Champ Labs. from what they told me is they are taking over most of honeywells customers i deal with them a lot because they manufacture our company's oil and tranny filters

Brake problems with larger tires?
pathblazin420 replied to psychopathy's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
i got stock brakes on 31's and no problems. i put some new pads in a couple months ago cuz the old ones were shot. so i doubt u will have any issues. if you are really concerned then just do disks all around -
anyone know a way to fix seatbelts so they retract?
pathblazin420 replied to ahardb0dy's topic in The Garage

ive seen plenty of off road trucks running turbos. Ive actually seen one with a remote mounted intercooler in the bed with 3 of our (derale) fans on it and the turbo inside a cover with a snorkel type set up to keep it outa the water so it can be done. just a lil more work, but if your stayin on the streets then no problemo

anyone cut the roof off?
pathblazin420 replied to BigDaddyChris.com's topic in Solid Axle Swaps, Hardcore Custom Fab
ive done 2 chop tops in my life time. 4 inch chop on chrysler 300 (you can see it on www.socalcustoms.com) and a 6 inch chop on a silverado. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART IS THE BRACING!!! Before you even make your first cut reinforce the @!*% out of it. make an x brace going from all 4 corners and a couple vertical pieces to hold the x brace it is gonna be a lil easier since ur not putting the roof back on but you still want to keep prefect geometry or @!*% will hit the fan once u take if off road let me see if i can find some pics to show u -
ummm...im kinda speechless it looks like a frog

damn thats pricey!!! those qx4 grills are pretty ugly. i think the grill i was thinking off was the newer (2000+) pathfinder. let me see if i can find a pic i like the headlights on the newer qx4 tho. they look like there a lil bigger, but maybe they will fit. ill see if i can find someone with a qx4 n test fit them first
-
alright cool sounds good. i wasnt planning on doin the sheetmetal (unless its necessary to fit everything else), just wanted to do the grill, lights and maybe bumper. northerpathy: i wasnt takling about fender flares. i was talking about making my own custom fabricated FLARED fenders (pre runner style for more clearence). im not a fan of fender flares. think they are ugly as @!*%
-
i would really like to swap a newer style or QX front end onto my 98 pathfinder (looks much better IMO) and swap out the tailights too (pretty sure the taillights are the same) so do you guys have any idea if the stuff will fit or am i gonna have to do some custom work? anyone done this? also thinking about fabin up some of my own fender flares....what you guys think about that? anyone done that?
