  1. Yeah I tried that and it's way too low for my taste. I keep my tires at around 35 to 40 psi- stock size (245/65-17).
  2. That's only if you want to go with like a 32" tire (or larger), so that it won't hit the struts. Or you could use wheel spacers. But you'll be fine with a 30.5" tire.
  3. To my knowledge, front and rear coils aren't interchangeable.
  4. I took the steps off my Q and never looked back. I'd say no step!
  5. It does sound pretty neat, but I wouldn't flop over 120 bucks unless there were some definite performance/mpg gains as well.
  6. Thanks for the suggestions! MY1PATH, if I ever got a beater, I'd do just that! haha
  7. Has anyone done anything to improve their door seals to prevent mud/water from entering while wheelin? So far mine have done a good job but I was just wondering if there was anything that could be done to improve the seals.
  8. I'm pretty sure those pics will look like the pics on the first page
  9. <--- One here. Haven't really done anything to it yet though.
  10. Should be ok. Might rub a tad on the plastic wheel well liner, but that's an easy fix- just trim/cut/fasten it back.
  11. Thanks all! So from what I gather; moderate-steady speed, keep the wheels spinning but not too much?
  12. What's the best way to get through mud? Slow? Moderate steady speed? Charge it? I would think charging it would leave potential for broken parts.
  13. If you switch to 01+ QX4 tail lights, you will lose your reverse lamps, as they are in the tailgate on 01+ QX4s.
  14. I don't know about your smell, but every once in a while I'll get a smell coming out of my vents that smells like Elmer's glue or honey mustard or something.
  15. 1010tires.com is also a good one.
  16. That kind of mileage is an R50's heyday. My '01 has 116k and runs great! Like the other's have said, it doesn't really matter what much trim you go with. And yeah, they're good for some light off-roading. Some stuff you could get would be lift springs. There's a few routes you can go. Old Man Emu (OME) is available through ARBusa.com or ruggedrocks.com, Automotive Customizers has some @4x4parts.com, or you could go with Ironman @ camel4x4.com. You could also look into getting armor like rock sliders for under the door panels, skid plate, a heavy duty bumper if you can find one for sale or you could have a shop make one for you. And also look into getting some all-terrain or mud-terrain tires. Just look at the pinned topics.
  17. There's links earlier in this thread, but here ya go: http://www.ironman4x4.com/html/nissan/53.html
  18. My mistake, I didn't read thoroughly. I thought the OP was talking about an OEM bumper.
