  1. That's odd. With pathfinders I've always heard the flowmasters sounded ricey and the magnaflows sounded better. Just what I've heard from others though.
  2. That kinda defeats the purpose, eh? haha But seriously, that does suck. I'd say your 'buddy' owes you a new valve stem or a tire.
  3. That's not an entirely accurate comparison, as the QX4 with the flowmaster is a 98-00 model which has the 3.3 liter engine, while the 01+ have the 3.5 liter.
  4. It says in ARB's catalogue that the 928 is the HD. http://www.arbusa.com/uploads/PDF/accessorizeYourRig/nissanPathfinder.pdf
  5. Have you looked into Nitto Dune Grapplers? I have no knowledge of them, just thought I'd throw them out there.
  6. Awesome! How'd it hold up for you? These R50s look so much better lifted!
  7. So what's the deal with spacers/adapters? I've heard some people say spacers are dangerous and adapters are fine, and vice versa. Does it just come down to build quality or are either inherently dangerous?
  8. It's probably a good idea to. I've heard bad things about KYB's strut mounts, so I'd go OEM for those.
  9. Also the Huskys have a lip around the outside of the mats to contain any water/mud/spills what-have-you.
  10. I don't know about pathfinders, but the factory all season floor mats for the QX4 have been discontinued for quite sometime and have been sold out everywhere. That's probably the case with the pathfinder mats as well. Husky makes all-weather mats specifically fitted for our R50s. They're sorta pricey, but I'm happy with mine. I think I got them from Amazon.com Here are the links: Front: http://www.amazon.com/Husky-Liners-36111-Black-Liner/dp/B000CMFSMQ Rear: http://www.amazon.com/Husky-Liners-66111-Black-Liner/dp/B000CMFTZ2/ref=pd_bxgy_auto_img_b
  11. I agree. If there was a full, quality kit available that was reasonably priced, I would be more apt to buy one.
  12. The intake resonator is just a piece of plastic below the airbox. There's just a few bolts that you have to unscrew to remove it. The easiest way to remove it is to take the front driver side tire off (don't have to but it's easier that way), then the plastic liner in the wheel well. Once you have the liner removed, you should see it. Takes maybe 10-15 minutes.
  13. The thread title sounds like you just came from a corporate meeting. Buzzwords, anyone? That said, you can notice a small gain in acceleration/throttle response by removing your intake resonator. Beyond that, I think most everything has been covered.
  14. Or you could get an OME lift. OME is short for Old Man Emu. You can get their coils springs from ruggedrocks.com, rocky-road.com, and find4x4parts.com. Might be able to get them elsewhere but those are the only places I've seen. But it doesn't really matter price-wise, as they're all pretty much the same price. If you went the OME route, I would recommend going with ruggedrocks.com or find4x4parts.com. I have not personally done business with either of them, but they're the only sites I've seen that have their part numbers right.
  15. Thanks Pezzy! That was a big help!
  16. Simon, what exactly do you mean by grinding of the antenna tab? What is it specifically, and is it that big of a deal to grind it off? And where is it located?
  17. Put up some pics of that thing!
  18. Sorry if this has been posted somewhere. The search function is a bit tricky. I'm looking at a TJM bumper for 96-99 pathfinders. From what I've read on here, it will still fit 99.5-04. But here's the catch; I have a 01 QX4. I know the bodies of all year/model R50s are roughly the same, but I think the front end of the QX4 may be slightly different. Or is it just purely cosmetic changes, everything being the same underneath (in terms of mounting and fitting a bumper)? Thanks.
  19. Using Dynamat or any other brand of sound deadener will cut down on road noise. Usually you install in the doors, but I've heard of people lining their engine compartment hood also.
  20. Ok cool. I just found this thread, which goes along with what you were saying.
  21. Is there any way to mount a winch besides getting an ARB/TJM/custom front bumper? Are there any brush guards that can be used to mount a winch? Or are there mounting brackets or something? Thanks.
