  2. So i was browsing craigs list tonight and I came across this 96 R50 for sale and saw these pics.... What do you think he has in it for a lift and it looks like a trail beater.... 2K??? IDK kinda steep http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/2274949239.html "heavily modified 1996 pathfinder skidplates front to back winch will never see pavement again door wires are cut I run it with doors off goes anywhere very dependable and tough very flexy and rides smooth and seats 5 have 6 tires in all about 1/3 tread on the swampers needs nothing ready to wheel 728 5980 can b seen on nwor4x4.org its the only pathfinder on the site have no problems demonstrating also"
  3. Its kind of the same color and this is a old pic of mine.
  4. I once had to change a tire like this while coming down a washout on a trail; the only thing keeping it from moving was the tow strap on my rear hitch holding it to a tree..... pretty intense and no jackstands sucked......
  5. it could be spiders now that you describe it that way..... Easy way to fix is weld..... or replace. but then you would need to get a locker for your rear......
  6. As for the mounts it is just welded to my now cut off trailer hitch..... Bolts right on.... And I am going to plan out a tire carrier in the near future; but until then I need to get my front skidplate on, and I have a piece of 4x8 3/8ths steel I am trying to figure out what to do with.... I was thinking of making some sides to cover up the area behind the rear tire my bumper doesn't cover..... and maybe a rear diff skid plate. And very far down the road I see a SAS and exo-cage.
  7. already sold the rear bumper cover and i have the front cover... And yes they are custom built/home made....
  8. Oh and I put my flares back on if you didn't notice..... looks better.
  9. Not that bad looking and pretty heavy duty. Tire carrier in the future?
  10. I have owned mine for almost 5 years now, it has changed quite a bit and has about 176k on the clock and is still strong. Definitly starting to show some wear but that is expected and it is becoming more like a beast everyday. I am pretty much married to it with how much I have invested and I do not ever plan on selling it.
  11. 54480 Pathfinder BRACKET ASSY-TENSION ROD ?????
  12. What I did to remove my struts when I put my 2" AC lift in was jack it up and put it on jackstands and remove the tires, then take the clamps off the strut holding the brake line in place. Next unbolt the sway bar end links, then take the two bolts out holding the strut to the spindle on the bottom. I took a hanger and tied the spindle up so it didn't hand there and put all the weight on the ball joint, then take the 3 nuts off on top of the srut and it should come out; make sure there is someone to catch the strut when you take those bolts out, don't let it hit the ground. Now as for spring replacement you could go rent a pair of spring compressors from a autoparts store or any store that rents out tools; or you could go to a shop like pep boys who has a spring compressor and get them to do it which is much safer. Be sure to replace your strut bearing also known as the upper strut mount because if you are taking it apart to replace the spring you don't want to put the old ones back and might as well replace it while you have it apart.
  13. Welcome to NPORA, I live in NH also what class 6 were you wheeling? I know of a few good spots
  14. You can leave manual hubs locked all the time and they would be acting just like auto hubs or you can unlock them and get better gas milage and keep the stress off your front end components. Either way upgrading them is a good idea and far off better than auto hubs, it just gives you the choice to unlock them and will let your CV's last longer.
  15. It's the distributer, I had the same prolem and even changed the fuel pump thinking that was the problem; it was the distributer all along.
