Yup, getting oil all over that area is something you have to deal with. A trick I learned from Xplorx4 when I first bought my pathy almost 3 years ago, is to take a plastic bag or two and use almost as a "glove" so t hat when you do get it off, the oil and filter go into the bag and not all over. Takes a couple of tries to master it. Thanks Dean!

Yeah that really sucks man. I was thinking the same thing when I went to go check them out myself...$50 tops... Those bastards would rather let the part sit and rot and wait for someone to come along and pay that price before they'd let it go just for the sake of a sale.

If you're looking for some good fishing, there are dozens of lakes about an hour south of Grand Forks in WA state to hit up.

I think it may have to do with the coils? Since you say your Rancho's are only a year old. I have been riding a lot in my best friend's new S/C 03 Xterra. That thing rides really cush. Feels like you're floating. In my ride, the ride is harsher in comparision...but its not bad. I think its because its just stiffer than the stock X's suspesion. I used to have body roll issues until I got my new rims and tires which stick out about 1.5 inches past the fender. Seems to give it a little wider stance and I defintely noticed a difference.

Oh for sure!!!! I figured you would have done that already or first. It will definitely help. With my 98, I also got a good improvement in performance by swapping in NGK Iridium plugs and ngk wires. Also cleaning the TB!
