  1. Electrical issues = headlight wiring and lack of relays, imo. My power locks go bezerk sometimes and wont let me out of the truck!
  2. Welcome aboard. Whats planned for it?
  3. you got it, the doors are so flimsy... i love working on foreign cars!
  4. Theres a phillips screw behind the armrest panel which is well hidden, check there. remove that and pull up and out - the top clips in with small metal clips that wrap around the top of the door frame.
  5. Kinda looks like mine. Mine is coming from the backside of the valve covers. I thought it was the RMS at first...
  6. i had this problem and nothing was wrong with them, that I could find. Good fuses, relay, switch... I ditched the oems and wired up driving lights and even ran the wires to the oem switch, now everything works
  7. they are called bi-xenon and are about 20 bucks extra. imo, low beams only are fine with HID.
  8. ya im not getting them anytime soon. im going to search around for glare shots, if any, then maybe... installing these takes 15 mins at most. plug the connector up to the oem 9004 socket, install bulbs, wire it up, attach power and ground and go.
  9. theres no reverse now? i bought my 95 se with 131k and busted cvs and a broken centerlink... about 1200-1500 in work. i paid 2 gs for the truck so, in your case, 3500 total for a super clean truck is a pretty good deal. anything else wrong with it?
  10. i asked for the 50 series but they didnt have any in stock. thanks for the info guys
  11. I found a set of plug and play 9004s on honda-tech for 114.99. Dont expect oem quality, but ive used kits like these from honda-tech before for a bike and accord, and they were pretty decent and lasted a year before I sold them. I dont know how I feel about a wd21 with HIDs... Just be sure to get 4300k for the most lumens and a white color to avoid po-po. http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/2053835
  12. Yesterday, I had it with the stock exhaust. One of the brackets busted and was shaking the truck at idle, plus it was ugly as sin. I went to a muffler shop here, and for 199, I had them custom build a cat back with 2.25" piping and a flowmaster 40 series. It has a nice tip and sounds great right now, nice rumble and all, but maybe a touch to loud. I have a question though. On my other two cars Ive used a stainless steel magnaflow system and they held up great, and really held the same sound, one for 5 years, and it was never head turning loud. Will the 40 series aluminum muffler break up soon and get louder?
  13. they turn purple after while. a k&n has a wire mesh that surrounds the cotton filter element, the red/purple is do to the oil, if that helps you out.
  14. Im thinking about getting 9004 4300k HIDs. Im just curious about the glare. A simple plug and play kit will do, it will bypass all the stock wiring, and be powered directly from the battery. I had one before on another car and it was 160 shipped and lasted a year no problems, plus the 4300k is pretty oem looking. I installed driving lights and they overpower my headlights, it is shameful. Ill keep you guys posted.
  15. My path has a rear tire carrier and I took it off. In my opinion, it looks a million times better. In there rear corner where it bolts up, there are threads inside the metal... It seems like it'd be a load of fabbing inorder to bolt one up. As well, there are bolts along the bottom of the truck under the liftgate where the latch attachment bolts up to.
  16. Does the black box have a piece of paper on it that you can proke your finger through and touch a button? If so thats the unit and the button youll use to reprogram a key fob.
  17. What are you looking to get out of it? Are you wheeling it or just DDing it? Mine had many problems but I worked most of them out, now I just want to drive the piss out of it but Im not looking to do anything to serious with it.
  18. check under the drivers seat for a small black box about the size of a cd case. thats the control unit, if you have it there, then you have keyless and need a fob. Theres a diy how to set it around somewhere - its really easy though.
  19. the fronts have a bolt on one end and a bushing on the other. the rears are bushings on both ends.
