I go over to my friends where the pathy is stored, start it up so I can work on it, and the brake light is on and the park brake is down. The pedal is extremly soft and the brakes hardly work. And the fluid is low. But the real thing that concerns me is that when i put it in park it was bouncing ALOT. I look underneath in the rear and discover the passenger side strut is either disconnected or snapped off from whatever it mounts to at the axle. Is there an easy fix for this? I have the adjustable suspension and would like to keep it. My friend does have a key, and I think he's been wheeling it or something. But now I've locked that key in the glove box with my original and disconnected the battery. heres a pic i took, you can kinda tell that its leaning towards the back right.

I think my rear right speaker is finished, it crackles even at moderate volumes. The rest sound great for stock though. I just want to replace that speaker and put in a cd player. Are there adaptors for hooking a new head unit to the stock amps? My dads 2000 path also has very good sound for stock. I'm impressed with the quality of the components. sorry don't mean to hijack the post, just thought i should ask while i remembered.

Maybe a stupid question, but can you change the stock head unit and speakers but keep using the stock amps?

i got some advice for you, get it fixed really soon, or it'll get worse real fast. Look at that picture above, you'd never think a truck that looks that good and is a 93 could have such a rusty frame.

I found a pic of the whole pathy, looks great I think for a 93. And by the way the previous owner took very good care of this truck and the frame still rotted. And those are the second set of bumpers on that truck.

Mines been sitting for like over a year so that might have something to do with it. I still move it around every once and a while but yeah maybe i should do something about the fluid although it was changed right before the truck was taken off the road.

As you can probably already tell im really not that great with mechanics but I do love my pathy and don't want to get rid of it.

My transfer case lever is very stiff as well but still works. 93SE

Ouch, so part of my metal brake line is bent then? From the crossmember falling?

sweet should be easy to move out of the way so i can get the frame cap welded in

I have them on both sides in my 93SE with the nice grey leather

Alright thanks, and i know its off topic but is there an easier way to get the power steering one loose? my hands and ratchet can't get any leverage. Another unexpected problem came up with my pathy. I wanted to changed the belts, the alternator one was finished, but when i was losening the alternator adjustment bolt ( the big long one) the head snapped off inside my socket. Can I get another one of these bolts at like canadian tire or something?

Alright I have purchased a 12 inch wide 4 foot long plate of 3/16 inch thick steel. My friends brother is a good welder (its his job) but him and my friend live in orillia ontario and I'm in ottawa. I offered him 500 bucks flat and a place to stay to do the job. How does that sound?

It is too bad. I really want this thing back on the road. I just had to use my moms 2000 isuzu rodeo for a timmys run. That truck is the biggest r50 knock off ive ever seen. And supposedly its the american competitor for the pathfinder, well the pathy wins again.

Shipping would kill on that though, and i don't have the tools or resources to do that kind of work.

Oh by the way that second picture is of the passenger side and the first is of the drivers side. For the passenger side i stuck my cell phone under the truck and snapped a pic. But i'll make sure to remove the tires and take detail pics with my good digital camera. The bottom of the framerail is in sad shape and will probably need alot of capping it think. i still don't understand what the ladder bars are? :confused:

Thanks go trek, and what do you mean by ladder bar? Is that the thing thats broken off? I was told that had something to do with upper control arms? Also does anyone have and dimensions so i know what sizes to cut?

Those tires were purchased august of 2005, the last month that truck was on the road. TerranoNZ, how far does that frame piece reach from the front end? Gotrek what do you mean by frame cap, do you mean make a 3 sided piece and weld it to the bottom of the frame. If so how would I go about re attaching that crossmember link thing? I think I might have found someone to do it, I offered them 500 bucks plus all the materials (welder, mask, grinder, metal, truck) and they were happy with that. They do live 5 hours away and they said pick a weekend.
