  1. sweet should be easy to move out of the way so i can get the frame cap welded in
  2. I have them on both sides in my 93SE with the nice grey leather
  3. K. thanks. I haven't touched them but are they metal or rubber as they look quite flexible?
  4. woah you posted that exactly when i was gonna add this to my other post. Yeah and the person whos gonna do it is definitly a pro. "Oh and in that second picture i see there is a line hanging down and lines along thr frame. Would those be gas or brake lines? Also they look like they are flexed around. Are they rubber or metal??"
  5. Alright thanks, and i know its off topic but is there an easier way to get the power steering one loose? my hands and ratchet can't get any leverage. I do have the skid plate off and are working from the bottom. thanks Oh and in that second picture i see there is a line hanging down and lines along thr frame. Would those be gas or brake lines? Also they look like they are flexed around. Are they rubber or metal??
  6. Another unexpected problem came up with my pathy. I wanted to changed the belts, the alternator one was finished, but when i was losening the alternator adjustment bolt ( the big long one) the head snapped off inside my socket. Can I get another one of these bolts at like canadian tire or something?
  7. Hey guys not to be rude or interupt your discussion but does 500 bucks flat sound reasonable to do this??
  8. Hey I just got this thing from my dad. I ain't lazy. Once its fixed ill rust proof it every 6 months!!!!!
  9. Alright I have purchased a 12 inch wide 4 foot long plate of 3/16 inch thick steel. My friends brother is a good welder (its his job) but him and my friend live in orillia ontario and I'm in ottawa. I offered him 500 bucks flat and a place to stay to do the job. How does that sound?
  10. It is too bad. I really want this thing back on the road. I just had to use my moms 2000 isuzu rodeo for a timmys run. That truck is the biggest r50 knock off ive ever seen. And supposedly its the american competitor for the pathfinder, well the pathy wins again.
  11. Shipping would kill on that though, and i don't have the tools or resources to do that kind of work.
  12. Oh by the way that second picture is of the passenger side and the first is of the drivers side. For the passenger side i stuck my cell phone under the truck and snapped a pic. But i'll make sure to remove the tires and take detail pics with my good digital camera. The bottom of the framerail is in sad shape and will probably need alot of capping it think. i still don't understand what the ladder bars are?
  13. Thanks go trek, and what do you mean by ladder bar? Is that the thing thats broken off? I was told that had something to do with upper control arms? Also does anyone have and dimensions so i know what sizes to cut?
  14. Those tires were purchased august of 2005, the last month that truck was on the road. TerranoNZ, how far does that frame piece reach from the front end? Gotrek what do you mean by frame cap, do you mean make a 3 sided piece and weld it to the bottom of the frame. If so how would I go about re attaching that crossmember link thing? I think I might have found someone to do it, I offered them 500 bucks plus all the materials (welder, mask, grinder, metal, truck) and they were happy with that. They do live 5 hours away and they said pick a weekend.
  15. I can't believe nissan hasn't even opted to pay for a portion of the repairs, since this should not happen to a truck of this age.
  16. No the frame has not been repaired before, that was my friend and i trying to repiar some of the rot. And I'd probably give you that sway bar link but this truck needs to pass an ontario safety inspection, and i belive you need the sway bars for that?? Im in ottawa and only 17, any other wd21 owners around with the same problem locally?
  17. The rest of the body is in very good condition, then engine runs clean with no abnormal noises, the tires are almost brand new, been very well maintained mechanically, and no this truck is not currently on the road, but I hope to get it back on soon! Also there are certain other conditions to owning this truck which means I can't just sell it off for parts.
  18. Im still gonna try and fix it somehow, waiting to hear from someone about it. The frame after the rear wheel will need plating as well, as there are a few golf ball sized holes. TerranoNZ, Those tires are 31x10.5 bridgestone dueller AT's with like 95 percent tread left. I don't know that much about tires, they came with the truck when my dad gave it to me, are they good? Oh and what is that thing to left that is disconnected? It appears to be some kind of linkage. Its been like that for years. The one on the right is fine though.
  19. Here are some pics of my frame, its only bad in that area though  If you look you can see that there had been some rust prevention applied but it just didn't work. i might be able to get a deal on some help fixing it Oh and the only reason its muddy is because my friend took it wheeling without me knowing!!!! Lets just say i had a chat with him -argue-
  20. Hey I'm 30 minutes south of ottawa and my 93 is probably rusted just as bad as yours. She's been un-plated for almost a year and Im slowly piecing it back together with the advice of people on this forum. All you can really do is cut out the old and weld in new metal. BTW, is your crossmember that connects to the rear axle still attached(the one thats right in front of the rear tires)? Oh and I also refuse to let mine go too.
  21. Kennel is a really good idea. Would also prevent dog fur from getting everywhere and prevent your leather from getting scratched, if you have leather that is. My friend try to put his mutt in my pathy but i just locked the doors so he couldn't get in, didn't want my mint 93SE leather interior ruined.
  22. Does it really matter if its seized like that? Mines been doing it (bus like sounds) for almost a year. Seems to run a bit cooler that way though
  23. Might want to measure first just in case. Before dad gave me the 93 pathy he wanted to see if the legos with 31x10.5's would fit on his 2000 r50. He had just bought new tires for the 93 and wanted to use them as winters. They did NOT clear the front calipers.
  24. My 93 has been having trouble firing up as well. It'll turn over and over and then finally start firing but very rough and you have to give it alot of gas to get it going properly but thats only if its left off for more than a few days. Im going to try some injector cleaner and see if that clears up the problem but hey maybe my ignition is going out as well.
