  1. if yours looked like mine, spray the hell out of the bracket bolt with lube!!! not only was it easy to see but a bitch to reach but my bracket broke off due to being frail and rusty, lol, i had to get creative when i put it back together, and you def wanna pull the fuse to let the pressure out, even after i did that i wished i had another hand to plug the drip with. good luck and if your already frustrated with another part of the project...take a short break before starting the fuel filter...my $.02 good luck
  2. had the same fright on mine, as long as you dont gorilla grip it you should be fine, straight back and it does take a little oomph
  3. are you getting a CEL when this happens?
  4. driver side does it intermittently but pass side has done it since i got it i think.. its funny to watch passengers thinking it was something they did try to screw with it, lol, but I could have sworn that somewhere in a thread talking about cleaning out the channels that someone had "reset" something about the motor so the limit switch or whatever would stop the window in the proper place. i'll keep digging.
  5. I could have sworn there was a post somewhere about resetting your window motor or something when you engage the auto up and it goes to the top and back down a couple inches...anyone know where that went?
  6. well im thoroughly disgusted...*sets down snack with sour look on face* Im all for customs and give people props on their passion whenever i can but damn man..thats just gross.
  7. OMG i think i just squirted a little!!....just a little bit. that sounds freakin awesome! I want one!!
  8. wow man thats awesome!, those wiring shots make me wince but damn when its done and right and you can step back and look at it, thats gonna be cool
  9. great thank you, i was kinda hoping i could wait before i needed to change it...spent a lot of money on that stuff hehe
  10. Just wondering how often those of you with synthetic fluids change yours out? yearly? by the mileage? whats your preference? At the moment ive got amsoil in the tranny and redline in the transfer front and rear.
  11. and to get one of these right? http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?id=STISUPR06&c=PE
  12. im a jack a tad here...hehe... i was looking at some jugs of mobil 1 syn today at the store and i saw 0-30 and the back was saying all this stuff about better gas mileage and better engine life...why would it be a good idea to go thinner with the oil?? or is it not, i had been using mobil 1 5 - 30 like da book say but with some tapping on cold starts i thought maybe 10 - 30 might be better... not trying to lead this topic astray but i thought oil weight might be a good companion to this question rather than beginning a new post. and i put amsoil in my tranny last time but redline in my transfer case and front n rear ends, heard good things, shifts great, rides nice...thats my professional opinion hehehe
  13. oh its not to give you the 7k rpm redline?? hehehe j/k
  14. you mentioned ecm reprogram, maybe the big chunk of that is having that done through them, unless i misunderstand you, i know from maxima research that ecm programming is quite spendy.
  15. ...yea that was that scene in tokyo drift where the american kid thought he was gonna get busted and the other guy says if your going over whatever speed they wont even try to catch you hehe just bustin your balls
  16. as soon as someone figures out how to get a charger to work on our 3.5's right after i get done squirting I would be all over figuring out how to get one.....
  17. go him .....but it makes me giggle
  18. so uhhh hows it goin with that man?
  19. well chalk me up to the failing starter club here, mines been doing that on occasion for a couple months now, but im lucky i live a couple miles from a starter and alternator rebuild shop thats been there for years and does great work prolly only run me 40 to 60 to fix whats a miss with it..i havent checked yet how much a pain is the starter on an 02?
  20. +1 for the mini switches, i love all the great ideas here
  21. I might give that a go as well, as i just replaced my wipers all the way around after having my windshield replaced (was so scratched and pitted it was becoming a concern) and i went to the tire center to ask if they had 12" wipers back there cause there were none on the floor and i got all three for $3 each as opposed to the rainX wipers being 8 and change each. they are working great. not trying to jack here just thought i would share the walmart experience, hehe. have you looked into the filters as well?
  22. 5w50 huh? whats your climate swing up there? wonder how that would fly in a 3.5?
  23. especially for the price, i would just use mobil 1 or something that has already been said, i used to have a 98 maxima that had a couple things done to it and i ran royal in that, spendy stuff and i had to order it by the case which was always fun but for a truck i wouldnt see the purpose unless your going to be running some 4x4 rally or something. i use mobil 1 syn in my 02 and love it.
