  2. Nice mudbath Nothing wrong with getting stuck & having fun. can't wait to get mine back together!
  3. Got them Josh, Thanks again; excellent product. Mike
  4. Definately look forward to a writeup; my boat is only 3500 lbs but alot of hills. Could definately use a kit soon myself.
  5. Kuwl! Just wanted to get them on before it snows here. Thanks Mike
  6. Hey Josh any word on my decals that I ordered on sept 24th?
  7. I have a 50 with Thorleys & 2.5; not real loud unless your doing 70 over a bridge or next to the divider wall on the interstate; then it is a bit loud. I'm switching to a 40 in the spring (or sooner if possible) it is quieter in the cab now that I have a lift; When I switch to the 40 I may point the exhaust tip strait back instead of to the drivers side. I believe they have sound samples on their web site. Mike
  8. PB fo sho! can get the gallon non-aerosol & it comes with a pump...
  9. Going to get a hardbody shaft; to see it I can have any better luck. Been whacking the crap out of all my vicegrips(time for new ones) What years of HB will work; they don't let people in to pull parts at our local boneyard. I miss my truck!-(
  10. going to pull the one off the parts truck to see if I have any luck; if not I'll get a HB shaft from the bone yard. Thanks! Mike
  11. I have tried almost everything to get it to lengthen & no luck; (it is off the truck and has been soaked) locked on with a vice grips to give it some love with a BFH, pb blasted it for over a week straight and just tried heating it with mapp gas & it hasn't moved. I did however mak a new horshoe shaped vicegrips from all the pounding. It is still totally straight but holy (censored) this thing is the only major issue I have had with the AC lift (as in bloody knuckes and metal slivers. Thanks again guys (& gals) Mike
  12. Welcome, Nice truck, very solid looking brushguard also!
  13. Not sure what you are saying? If you have a parts truck and are swapping engines; you will be disassembling the unit right? the clutch fork may have come loose, since it is a parts truck maybe that was why it was parted out? You'll more than likely have to separate the engine and tranny to take a look which could be done easily during the swap. Just giving you a basic direction as I'm not sure of the question. I'm sure one of the more mechanically inclined people will chime in once you explain a bit better or take pics? Good Luck. Mike
  14. Excellent info & pics Maroon! makes me a bit more comfortable about doing it; and electric fans Brer... I take it you haven't been into deep water before? After the first time of my clutched fan hit the water I switched to electric fans so I can turn them off instead of fan pieces in the radiator. Performance cams may hurt mpg(kpg) stock cams are more to easily pass emmisions rather than getting the most power/economy. In California they have some pretty tight restrictions (as they do in the great lakes area as we have to run 10% ethanol and have for many, many, MANY years) If your worried about gas mileage you should get a Prius or something?
  15. Understandable; alot of my neighbors have Harleys with no baffle; LOUD on a summer night when your sleeping. So I am thinking switching to a 40 from my 50. Wait for some light snow on the street and let 'em spin and the thunda escapes at 5 am when I leave. Thorleys and the 50 sound good BUT... 40 better :tonguefinger:
  16. had my window down last week while I was working on getting her ready for the BL reached in, popped the hood (not thinking about alarm) buddy was in front wheelwell pulling off rubber covers when it went off; damn hood switch! Wrapped his head on the 1/4 panel; told him "she knows you drive a Jeep!"
  17. I would stick to the stock airbox and add a K&N or Airhog filter. stock box keeps water out very well as long as you don't have a crap paper filter in it. (See you in mississippi so I believe water would be at least part of the fun)
  18. Never had my stock clutch slip, and I used a stock clutch and pressure plate from a Pathy in my 91 300zx without a slip. (sw, your running 4.2 liters, we run 3.0; bit o' torque difference and our toilets flush in opposite directions) I would put the money into other upgrades (IMHO) people say the pathy is underpowerered; so I wouldn't worry about clutch slip. Mike
  19. Welcome, Guess it will be a while before you can get to my truck?
  20. I did body first; the extra space is unbelievable! Headers and other mods will be SO much easier; and the cost factor at like $120 is good. When your ready to do the suspension lift; spend the $ and do it right. Body lift also makes it easier to get at the frame for rustproofing.
  21. Worked very well and quick. I still had to drill both ou but thru the top was VERY quick! The passenger side plate was actually spinning; so a buddy held the bolt underneath as I drilled; needed a new bolt so I cut a plate and used a lug nut to tighten her down with. (only fine threaded bolt that would fit that was on hand) I seen a post or 2 where people drilled out the entire bolt from the bottom; It was in the 90's most of the weekend so thanks Simon & Earth; you saved me a few gallons of sweat & pain. I'll take pics of the cuts before I seal them up for a reference. Again thanks. Mike
  22. 4x4parts.com (AC) should have them (or a hardbody kit should work without issue possibly) I have 95's; so I am guessing, but I just lifted mine 3" over the weekend without many issues. (members here will help you with any questions or issues)
  23. Air chisel will open the cargo floor like a can... Awesome idea; I was hoping I wasn't going to have to drill that out; just didn't know what held it in place. Thanks Simon
  24. I have been PB Blasting for 3 weeks to loosen everything up and even loosened them all last weekend. When I tried to remove the rearmost passenger bolt it started making a snapping sound and stripping the bolthead should I just drill it out? just wanted to swap the back bolts to keep alignment while I do the lift. I tried to search but I suck at searching just wondering what others did when the bolts decide not to cooperate. And as always thanks! Getting back to it early tomorrow morning
  25. Getting together with the guys from Damaged Inc. in Milwaukee tomorrow; Seem like a fun bunch.
