  1. ABS control unit I believe. I have my XM Tuner mounted on top of it!
  2. See this for what it sounds like..... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11392
  3. Motor mount? Trans mount? Be a little more specific about when it happens.
  4. Spools lock both rear axles together all the time. They turn at the same speed. On the street it gets very difficult to turn and manuver, like in a grocery store parking lot. Of road, they work well, but some break a lot of stuff with them. I think everyone on this forum would tell you to get a air locker, or a mechanical locker(Lockrite). Or even a rear lsd, that is unless you already have on. There have been many discussions about lockers on here.
  5. Here you go fellas, hope you like it....
  6. Those little charcoal pellets will get in every component in that system all the way up to the purge control vavle under the hood. Yeah, blow out the lines several times and you may want to inspect all of the components. Replace the canister at the end.
  7. If they have the right equipment, get them to Match-Balance the wheel and tire. For the bigger tires and wheels, that is the best way to get as much vibration out of the assembly. Make sure they didnt use sticky weights on the inside of the wheel and you just didnt see them. But if they messed up, they should pay to get it right.
  8. Most likely a control unit problem. I have the wiring diagram and will scan it tonight and post it.
  9. That "Trail Rated My A$$" is the funniest thing have seen in quite a while. Our nissan dealer owner here, owns the jeep/chrysler dealer next door. I know some of the guys in the shop and chat with them once and a while. I have been absolutly amazed at how many front and rear diffs they repair or replace on a weekly basis. Now keep in mind Jeep uses Dana axles for the most part. But how often do you hear about a wrangler having rear end problems, say in for favorite 4x4 magazine? Ok, now guess who started using Dana axles in thier new pickups? You guessed right kiddies, Nissan. How many Titan owners do you know that had to have the rear end replaced? Ive done a ton, thanks Dana. The press has taken that and spun it so badly, Nissan has had to cut back production of thier trucks. Why hasnt jeep taken such a big hit? The Big three dont want no Japanese company being better than them at what they supposedly do best. Dana is part of that. Trail Rated, its just propaganda to keep old companies and old ideas afloat. If that wasnt true, why is the wrangler the only front solid axle suv still on the market? Too many market analysts belive there is no market for another vehicle in that demograph. That is why Nissan, Toyota and even Honda have had to come out with vehicles that are new, fresh, appealing and very cable of doing what any driver asks of them. I am sure that in our Jeep hating community, there are enough people who would buy a 2008 Nissan Patrol W/locking front and rear solid axles(built by nissan of course), if it exsisted in the U.S.. Ok My 2 Cents have been thrown in and I could continue to ramble on and on about this. I will say this however, tell everyone you can about how good your Pathfinder is. When the demand is great enough, the Manufacturers and Aftermarket companies will respond. Then finally I will be able to get a bolt on rear bumper for my Pathy!
  10. PM me, maybe you can come down to Oly and check my lift out. Maybe I can let you drive it to see how it all feels. Or just see it and know what it looks like!
  11. I believe that they will work, but I think the harness is a different length and the connectors might be different.
  12. sorry, I misunderstood what you were asking . Ok, the two exhaust systems should be the same. The factory stuff is pretty much garbage. #4 in your pic the called the Precatalyst, And yes there is two of them. They are bolted directly to the back of the exhaust manifold. If you had them replaced, that could not of been cheap! The downpipes should be ok. You resenator just changes the tone of the exhaust, like a second muffler. I think Spenser Low racing makes a header, but Im not sure. Hope that helped. There are a lot of exhaust topics in here so, do some searching and go with what you like.
  13. The dual tips look nice, kind of a rounded square look. The tone is really low at idle, but has a nice low growl under load. He got it done at a place called Quality muffer here in Olympia. I think it looks pretty good. I figured I would link the other guy over here thinking he would understand to just have a new system welded in. Once upon a time, there was a bolt on system from HKS, but I cant find it anymore. Search, then shop around. I will have to take some pics of my brothers exhaust and post it.
  14. Check this out... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=10913
  15. Gee, why not put a pinto body on that frame!
  16. IF you buy it new, some places wont let you return it if its opened and used. Double check thier return policy! Also, double check your brake switch and make sure its working correctly. Here is a nissan tip... Service Information: Many of the Nissan and Infiniti ASCD (Cruise Control) systems power the ASCD actuator through the brake or clutch switch. Any symptom that seems to be caused by the actuator may have the brake or clutch switch as the issue. Such symptoms could be the ASCD not engaging, causing the ASCD light to flash, or storing a low voltage code. Refer to the appropriate Service Manual section to determine if the actuator power is routed through either of these switches. If it is, check the switch first. 17. IF the speedo itself is failing it will do the same thing. The VSS signal goes through the speed then to the ecm. I would pull out the VSS, hook up a voltmeter, adn check the signal. Or swap with someone how has a good one. Dont want to buy 2 expensive parts do we?
  18. see this......... http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/july04/pathfinder/
  19. Here is a little something I figured some would enjoy reading. Its an old project, but some good info. For those who are new or not quite mechanically inclined, these mods and parts are not the only choice, just expamples. And believe me, there are cheaper ways. I just thought this would be good info. Enjoy! http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/projects/pathfinder.php
  20. Ok, inthe newest catalog, this is what it reads with the same part numbers- Euro spec R & L headlamp assemblies, includes 55/60w H4 bulb. In the older catalog, it reads this for the same part numbers- These pathfinder/WD21 Euro headlamps have an improved lens assembly for increased lighting output. Equipped wih 60/55w bulg but will accept aoptional H4 bulbs. Wiring modifications requires. Adapter included with each lamp assy. It is suggested that you upgrade the headlamp fuse by 5A. Availibel bulbs are...100/80w...130/90w....140/100w.
  21. Sound like what the newer tranmissions will do when they overheat. I would double check the fluid and make sure its ok, color and smell. I can check the manual tomorrow for anything like that.
  22. I will write down the specs from the catalog tomorrow. No, I have never seen anyone with them installed, but I have heard through the forums of people who have them. Maybe its poll time to find out who has them and how they work! Oh yeah, and the woman that works in our parts department is way better than at what she does than at least 2 other guys. She will at least come out to the techs and admit she has no idea what something is and ask for help.
  23. Thats is whats in my nissan computer here at work. If you like, our parts web address is Nissanparts.cc. Of course there is tax and stuff. I looked it up myself so im pretty sure. The struts are priced per each, not a pair.
  24. B6060-88G00- $150 B6010-88G00- $150 90450-41G12- $65.32 Those are the suggested retail prices from nissan.
