  1. 502 FTW No, really, you should think about putting a 350 in there. Much more of an aftermarket and much easier to work on.
  2. We have the same rack, you still aren't getting me. The metal piece that the rack bars screw into is what I'm talking about. To remove those metal nut-like pieces, you have to take the caps off.
  3. Do you have to have leather to use those heated seat kits?
  4. No, I am a grounds tech at a country club. You actually have to know about the properties and behaviors of different kinds of grass. I am just below the supervisor's assistant, yet my job is still being taken.
  5. I think he is refering to the removal of the nut-like piece that holds the rack on as well.
  6. Its kind of sad that that is all true. And that my job is going to be taken by mexicans
  7. Wow. Thats pretty amazing. Almost like the snowglobe effect.
  8. MZ will prob like this. From an MD. resident to his senator The Honorable Paul S. Sarbanes 309 Hart Senate Office Building Washington DC , 20510 Dear Senator Sarbanes, As a native Marylander and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you. My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stem from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted. If my understanding of this bill's provisions is accurate, an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out. Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005. Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local emergency room as my primary health care provider. Once I have stopped paying premiums for my medical insurance my account figures I could save almost $10,000 a year. Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications, as well as "in-state" tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States for my son. Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden of renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance premiums. This is very important to me given that I still have college age children driving my car. If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative. Thank you for your assistance. Your Loyal Constituent, Pete McGlaughlin
  9. Tmorgan4 posted earlier that there is a custom shop that is willing to make headers for us. He wants to judge how much everyone is interested, so please vote if you are. The price should not be too expensive and they will provide a horsepower gain. Here are some pros and cons to keeping or deleting the cats (posted by dernt): The pros in keeping them are: 1. You are not violating federal laws by removing them. Many people seem to think that if you do not have emission testing in your area, you can remove them. This is not true. It is a federal crime to remove emission control devices. 2. Cats remove some of the toxic gases emitted by your vehicle. 3. Your engine control unit (ECU) is programmed for optimum performance including the cats in the system. The cons in keeping: 1. They are costly, but unless clogged, you probably don't need to replace the existing ones. 2. Some performance gain might be achieved without them, but I don't think there is any quantitative evidence. I could be wrong here and I'm sure someone will let me know. Please vote so Tmorgan knows what to do.
  10. Exactly. I need to start whatching myself. Everyone is getting so PC
  11. That video was wierd and it makes no sense to me. Haha I still like it tho I wish they would have just sent that bimmer to me instead of ruining it. edit: it's quite random too
  12. I've seen these setups in person and they perform quite well. I would do it to a car if I could, but def not an offroad thing.
  13. rofl! That must be one raging battle going on.
  14. what kind of shocks/struts are those?
  15. What is this life you talk about?
  16. That pathy belongs to a friend of mine. My carpet has had a weathertech liner since new . I went with the high end 3-way component sony's. I will never go sony speakers again to say the least. Now I have Alpine Type-S 2-way components. I have 2 1" alpine tweeters as well. The speakers have an RMS of 75 watts and they peak at 250. I mated them up with a Kenwood 150x2 amp. In addition to all that I have a 12" Kicker L7 sub in the back with I/O gauge wire powering it. Its hooked up to a Kenwood 500w RMS amp with 850w peak. All of that goes through a 1 farad cap (never do a sub without one). Finally, everything goes to my head unit. I love my head unit. It has a very simple layout but it provides me with everything I could ever need. It has an aux input (for my ipod), mp3 readout, 3 eq settings, independent sub control and output. Some other goodies include my video ipod and a bluetooth tomtom navigation system.
  17. 1) Exactly where nissandoms said it was. You need to remove a few panels to get to it. 2) You need to get a amp bypass harness. IMO just leave it. 2b)To remove the amp, loosen the 6 screws in the plastic piece that holds The carpet down. Then pull the carpet up and pull off the panel with the vents on it. Next, just unscrew the amp from the body from the three screws. Lift it up to release it from the hook. Make sure you unscrew it from the bracket as well. Take the Amp out ONLY, the fuses/relays there are needed. 3) Unless you are getting a more powerful amp, you can just use the stock wires. If you have anymore questions about audio, PM me.
  18. It also sound very rough with test pipes in. Not really the smooth, deep rumble you would get from a flowmaster or magnaflow. tmorgan - link still doesn't work.
  19. I was doing 115 on I95 last night with no cars. I glanced at my GPS and it said I was going 98. I realized that speedometers are only accurate to about 60mph then they progressivly get worse.
  20. Thats a lot of space for the front end. Keep in mind, you want your pathy to sit a LITTLE front heavy instead of even. This results in better handling and overall its more stable. If you notice, all pathy's are a little front-low stock.
