  1. Cherokee. So many people just call it a "Jeep" cause it's a 4x4 SUV. I guess it's like calling all soda "Coke" Lame...
  2. I don't see why it wouldn't pass inspection, unless you gut the cats or something which I know your not going to do.
  3. Wow. Good thinking. Have you got it fixed yet?
  4. From my recent situation, I'd say it's your AC jack (that's what cause mine to come on, from my fuzz-buster) Seriously though, prob. an o2 sensor.
  5. Yeah I'm coming up on 60K as well...was thinking about doing as much of this myself as possible to save $$.
  6. Congrats! There are few things more rewarding in life than putting in your own elbow grease into your car to make it run perfect
  7. It's called a shift lock I think...prevents kids from knocking it into D while parked (so they say ) Sounds like whoever worked on your tranny messed something up. Was it doing it before the rebuild? I'd bring it back to them and raise some hell...
  8. Ok...I'm going to undo he battery today for a while just to be sure. Still no light, tho.
  9. Sounds funny. And on my little laptop speakers it sounds like turbo-prop Did it come disconneted at the manifold? Geez what did you hit?
  10. It will probably shake loose if it'[s not totally connected. I'd just buy a new set.
  11. Is it possible for there to still be codes being thrown w/o tripping the light? It's very weird to me that the instant the radar turned on, the light ceased.
  12. The other day I noticed while driving that the Pathy's SES light became illuminated. So instantly I thought that it was either one of the crummy o2 sensor's or my K&N drop-in that had gunked up the MAF, as a few days earlier I jad driven it on a 500 mile trip. Today I was going to take it have the codes pulled and drop it off at Carmax (extended warranty) so I decided to plug my Radar Detector back in (I had it turned off b/c the passenger in the front kept knocking the plug loose w/ his knee) Turned the actual unit on, didn't turned on but I realized the PLUG ITSELF wasn't in all the way. Plugged it in all the way, the car sort of hesitated for a split second as the detector turned on and POOF the SES light turned off. Did not having it in all the way cause the ECU to go nuts? While it was on and idling while the light was on, it smelt terrible...total gas. It was running waaay rich. Now, everything's fine again. The actual contacts I guess weren't touching enough to turn on the unit, but touching too much for there not to be a connection. Needless to say, I turned around and didn't take it in. Thought?
  13. Got soap?? Anyways, yeah, they're east to remove. Just be sure not to touch the actual bulb when replacing. When I first got my Pathy the lights seemed very dim as well...new bulbs cleared it up.
  14. It's a good idea, however, I haven't been off roading with the K&N. So what do you guys think? And it's not a cone...it's just the rectangular drop-in. MAF dirty? o2 sensor??
  15. Hey guys...Problem... Just got back to CT last night (505 miles) and today my SES light came on, and the Pathy stinks of gas (obviously running rich) I know it's one of two things...the K&N Filter (not intake...I just have a filter) or an o2 Sensor. Either way, it's not running too well and smells pretty bad. Gonna try cleaning the MAF and putting a paper filter back on. Any help please? Thanks! -G
  16. 255/65-16 on my '02. Could be an early R50 size, tho. Vengeful?
  17. Yer right...didn't think of that.
  18. Isn't that what I just posted Veng?
  19. Is this what your talking about? TSB Not sure if that's the one or not. Though, I can't find anything else related to '02 Pathy's o2 sensors. The only other one involves the SES staying illuminated on 2005+ Pathy's.
  20. I'm not trying to be a jerk here, but it sounds like you might want to do sopme research on 4wd fundamentals before you break something. There is no need to use 4hi in water. They're tires, not pontoons!
