  1. I love how I just viewed this whole thread just for the amusement of the captions and arrows. I don't even have an AT!
  2. Whoa whoa whoa whoa.... That is a gorgeous 2door. Heck yes! I likey!
  3. I'll just make a nice MDF spacer that will mount onto the sheet metal that I can mount my 6x9's to. I'm not going for bass, I'm going for clean sound, and the Infinity Reference 6x9's were the best that I heard. I'll post pics of the install.
  4. Okay so, I recently purchased a '94 SE and it has the rear roof components. How is it, making 6x9's fit in there? Surely it can't be too difficult...? Does anyone have some pictures of their setup and how they went about doing this? Also, removal of the headliner seems to be a must for this. I take it all trim and side panels that meet the headliner need to be removes? Seatbelt bolts etc? Is it fairly easy and what kind of timeframe should I expect? Any tricks? Thanks!
  5. I've been looking for the keys for about 5 hours... no luck. I have absolutely no idea where they went. Tires rubbing wont be a big deal, she's still got a 3" BL in 'er and only 31's so it's all good.
  6. What about bumpstops? I just drove my '94 with one t-bar out.....?
  7. Okay, my newly purchased '94 is in need of some different t-bars and another crossmember. I'm wanting to pull the crossmember and t-bars out of my '90 and put the whole setup into the '94. Thing is, I can't find the keys for my '90 right now and was wondering if I pulled the t-bars out anyway, if driving it 50 yards when I find the keys would be fine. Basically.. I can't push or tow my '90 to where it will spend the rest of its life as a parts vehicle. Will it be okay on the front end parts to drive it without t-bars for 50 yards?
  8. I built my own fibreglass tweeter pods for my a-pillars. I hot glued a piece of PVC pipe onto the a-pillar, stretched fabric over the PVC and coated it with fibreglass resin. Sand/bondo/sand/bondo/sand/paint... Here is what mine look like.
  9. I bought 4. The $450 included 24 new lug nuts, and mounting/balancing. Also in Canadian funds... dono what the dollar is at right now.
  10. Okay... I've got some pictures that will be coming as soon as I bluetooth them from my phone... They're not the kind of pics I was hoping to upload on here. After swapping over my JGC coils, re-indexing/cranking my t-bars and changing out the LCA link bushings and the drivers side link, I decided I'd drive 'er to work. All was going well until I crossed a cattleguard and my drivers side t-bar popped out of the LCA... how in the HELL did that happen. The c-clip is still in the t-bar at the crossmember... I don't know how this happened but I'm not too pleased. My tire was tucked up in my fender and I got really lucky- no damage to tire, fender or fender flare. I started walking to the closest house (I live in an area with no cell reception). After walking about 2 miles, I stopped in at a house and the lady (who is practically my neighbor) drove me home where I called a tow-truck and had it towed home. Pics soon.....
  11. Ah they'll be minor. I've got the replacement LCA link out already. Probably be a little over an hour of work tomorrow, re-indexing and replacing that link. Then I'll be pulling the body lift out of my '90. Does anyone know how to replace the front door handles? I haven't taken a close look at them, but the drivers side is broken on one side, so ya have to be gentle. Anyone?
  12. ANOTHER WD21! I picked up a 1994 SE 5spd today for $1500. She's got 250km on her. Picked it up cause mine was starting to go downhill and I couldn't keep up with the fixes- she hasn't been road worthy for a year now... The good: It has less wrong with it than my 1990 (AC works, interior lights work, headlights work, exhaust doesn't leak like a sieve, interior which is leather is mint, dash is sexy, the power windows work, IFS components aren't destroyed...), it has a brand new chrome rear bumper too. Along with a 3rd brake light that's super bright and a wind deflector (which broke on mine) The bad: It's got some body damage on the passenger side, drivers front fender is rusty, drivers rear frame is rusted out, drivers LCA link had snapped. Also, the clutch slips a little when I stomp on it going up hills. All of these things will be easy peasy fixes now that I have my '90 as a parts truck As she sits now, I've swapped my JGC coils over and thats it. Tomorrow morning I will be re-indexing my torsions and doing my body lift... then it's off to work where I will swap over my stereo (that's brand new and I just put in the 1990... ugh). I'll have some pics soon.
  13. Negative wire to the negative terminal, positive wire to the positive terminal. And you'll probably want to run an inline fuse just "up-wire" from the pos terminal of the battery.
  14. I didn't know Jared personally, but am saddened by this. It goes to show you how important it is to live like tomorrow may be your last, to be sincere and honest, to love the ones you're with and to be sure to tell the ones you love, that you love them. My sincere condolences go out to Jareds family- I'm greatly sorry for your loss. By the impact he made on this forum with the Pathfinder community I have no doubt that the impact he made in others lives was even greater. Rest In Peace, Jared. May your Pathfinder not have a 3.0L V6 in heaven so you can throw all the mud you want buddy.
  15. The Daytona wheels came out to about $450, that's including mounting, balancing and 24 new lug nuts. The Goodyear Wrangler Territories came out to $600.
  16. I shall do a little search and see what I come up with. Thanks Precise.
  17. Oh it's gonna get fixed. I go to work tonight for 5 days so I wont have any time to work on it but it should be going soon. I'll pick up some washers and some pipe that's close to the diameter of the bushing so my buddy can weld some cups for my frame. Should have it goin' in a little over a week.
  18. No word of a lie, best I've ever gotten was 28mpg. You're all probably thinking "Yeah right, you messed up on the calculation..." I swear to god, I didn't mess up on the calculation, and I recorded how much fuel went in, and recorded the distance traveled to a T. 28mpg. From the Sumas USA/CAN border crossing to Chinook WA, on the coast. That was several years ago...
  19. Everything was perfect before the wheel came off. Torsion bars are equal. The LCA link that goes back to the frame is the culprit I think. The drivers side is about 3/8" further towards the rear of my Pathy, which would give it the "toe-out" and explain pulling left (in my opinion)... Gonna get my buddy to weld me some cups onto my fram for my new bushings to fit into, because the hole in the frame is pretty big (from the previous bushings being worn to nothing). We shall see if it fixes it. Wont have an update for a bit though, they have to order the part in.
  20. Aye, I'll check out my steering and TRE's. Tire pressure should be the same, I just got them from a tire shop. I haven't checked, but I'm sure they're good. Hopefully it isn't something with the LCA itself... that could get expensive.
  21. A year ago my drivers front tire came off while driving down a dirt road. My rotor and LCA slammed into the road, digging a 3" deep trench... I put my spare on, and drove it home, which was only about a mile away. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. I figured I was really lucky nothing got messed up. It has been parked ever since, because I couldn't afford new tires and insurance. Now I have put new tires and wheels on, and insured it. I took it for a little cruise today after bleeding my brakes to test them out, and noticed that she's pulling pretty hard to the left. Definitely not what I was wanting. Not too sure what it is at this point, but it seems possible that the LCA link that goes back to the frame may be the issue. Seems as though the bushings at the frame (that I had replaced the day my tire came off) are quite compressed. My thinking is that the link was allowed to move rearward, producing somewhat of a "toe-out" type alignment on that side. Not sure, but that bushing needs replacing now. I will replace it and see if there's any change. Keep ya updated! Oh, and pics to come of the new shoes and stereo installation. 15x8 Black Daytona's with 31x10.50 Goodyear Wrangler Territories. Looks good.
  22. Well, finally I went for it.... new tires and rims on the way. I have the tires already and I get em mounted on my rims Wednesday. Fiiinnnnally. Goodyear Wrangler Territory's 31x10.50 and 15x8 Daytonas. Pretty much the cheapest way to go, but I'm cool with it. The tires look gnarly, and for the price... I couldn't go wrong. I'll have pics up on Thursday or something.
  23. If you want to remove the whole pod, then you'll have to pop off the top "screened" part, then pry off the plastic that surrounds the 'pod'. If I remember correctly each pod has two pieces? Been over a year since I tinkered with mine, and I don't have my rig nearby. Once you do that, there will be four screws that you can remove, and pull the pod off the side panel. There's a white connection behind that pod, if you decide to put your good speakers in there and they are amped, I would suggest bypassing that plug.
