Oh, and... the line that goes IN for the rear speakers, can that be spliced into the line OUT of the amp (for the rear speakers)? Doesn't seem like there would be an advantage of doing so.. but... I dno why I'm not getting any sound from the rears, they're connected properly, I'm 95% sure... Oh and... there were 4 PINK wires in the back of my factory deck... I tested them for power and there wasn't any, so I just snipped them off and there they are...

And how in the heck to I get back there to tinker with them? Is it possible to take the center of the dash out? It looks like it, but I dono where the bolts and such are...

1990 Pathfinder SE Okay okay, I know there are other threads about aftermarket stereo installs etc. that say where the factory amps are (Passenger side rear panel) correct? Well I took the panel off and there's nothing in there. Took the drivers side panel off and there's just a bunch of wires, and one funky box thing. The reason I'm wondering is because I installed a JVC deck today and am only getting sound in the front speakers. I read in another thread that the reason for this could be the factory amp that powers the rear, isn't getting power?... I wanted to see if I could take the Line In, cut it off, and splice it to the Line Out, but I guess that's not the case? I would keep searching but my internet is damn slow and it's a chore when a page loads 1/2 way then stops and you have to refresh it.... every.. damn...time.... So, where are my factory amps?

Heh, I can drive without a clutch, but I didn't know how to drive it well enough to drive TO the place to get fixed... I don't know anything about trannys and such, so that's why I didn't do the fix myself. I'm now kicking myself in the arse for not taking Mechanics and metalwork in highschool...

Here's another Pathfinder with a BDS susp lift. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2169203 This guy lives in Chase BC. Doesn't show a pic with JUST the 4" BDS lift, it has a 2" BL too. I talked to him, said it costed around $2700 for a shop to install it and he had it back in 2 days. Damn, that's expensive, makes me wanna try doing my lift this summer, by myself and help from a neighbor.

See I live on a dirt road, and have been on the road to and from school for 10 years. I usually run like... 90-100km on it... but 80mph on a "baja type road" is nuts :o I'd never do that haha

Really easy for me... I bought a 4Runner for my first vehicle, but a month after I had it the tranny went out, so I got that fixed, but was still faced with multiple problems I'd found, that would total around $1500. Went to the local Subaru/Mercedes dealership here in Kamloops at lunch (at school) and took a look around. What I found was a '90 Pathfinder SE with BRAND NEW BGF AT's for $8800... I thought it was kinda expensive but I really liked it... Got home to find my dad had made a call to the dealership, they said they had a '90 Pathfinder they would let go on a trade for my 4Runner... Next day my dad had picked me up from school, we went to the dealership, and there it was, sitting out front for us... Did the paperwork and it was mine. DAMN I loved the feel of it on the test drive, not as smooth as the 4Runner, but alot more snap to it (4Runner was auto). Felt like the fuel economy would be alot better as well, which turned out to be true. Yeah, so that's my story... (Performance wise was when...) My dad and I went fishing, and to get to the lake we turned off the main road onto a muddy, narrow road with a switchback to the right, down a steep muddy hill. After fishing, we drove to the bottom of the muddy hill and my dad thought we were gonna be waiting until night, for the ground to freeze. He said "What you want to do is put it in 4Lo, and keep the tires spinning, throwing mud out, while keeping high RPMs"... So, I put it in 4Lo, backed up a lil bit and went for 'er. Second gear comin up the hill, it was perfect, mud was flying thru the air and my dad was holding on. (A steep bank was on his side). Kept feathering the gas and we made it to the top, I knew I couldn't make the corner so I went straight, onto some tiny, narrow, rutted out muddy road... Now, to turn around ON that road with a steep bank to the right and thick trees to the left... My dad was spotting for me as I put 'er to work. My dad was amazed how the thing performed, brought him back to the old Landcruiser days. Made it out perfectly fine but it was a little sketchy. NO WAY the 4Runner would have done that Wow, long post...

Mhm.. that's why I just make a thread instead of searching for it, because my internet is the worst out of anyone on this forum- so g-dern slow. I'll try to refrain from making thread dupes...

Haha, after I posted that I read that other thread..

Yup, that's what happened to mine right after I got it... mechanic said I could drive it, nothing would happen, but to get it fixed in the next week or so... Drove it a couple more times, went to go to my buddies place, started it up and it wouldn't go into reverse... I could only shift when the truck was off... so instead of limping it to the shop, (shift into 1st, start, accelerate, shut off, second, start, accellerate, shut off, third, start, accellerate etc... hahaha) I had to get it towed 100km to get fixed... And it costed $1100...

Yeah... the big pictures posted on here, or any forum for that matter, anger me... If someone has quoted a picture so there's now TWO loading.... I usually click "Stop", then right click on one picture and click "show picture".... I hate living in the boonies with slow internet... But.... I can also wheel in my back yard, so that's pretty cool haha. Got a big trail like 4 miles long, up a hill behind the house, it's pretty nice.
