  1. I want to put my .02 in, We have a 97 Pathy that we love it drives great on road or highway and off road it is a serious beast. In my opinion a good all-around SUV. We also have a Honda Accord 96 that has been a great car and super reliable. So as everybody else has said, Honda makes a great CAR.. The pilot is a soccer-mom suv all the way. the ground clearence is a joke just like all the american soccer-mom suv's like the trailblazer, gmc envoy etc. So if you want a tall-car that is reliable but not for off-roading go with the pilot as they are a nice vehicle. if you want somthing you can drive on the road and off-road occasionally then go with a pathy or a 4-runner if you want to spend more $$$ that ofcourse depends on you..
  2. Thanks i will check that out. I believe it is inner bearings but not totally sure. When i stuck a stethiscope on it i put it on the core or whole housing of the compressor so maybe i will have to check on it again.
  3. sly yeah it would have been kinda nice if she had come over to see if i was ok. then i could have shown here my twinkie...... I caught "sh&^" for that all day too from my guys at work.
  4. :X that is kinda what i figured but i was not sure if maybe the bearings on the pulley were accesible or not i had to ask.
  5. ok i tried to search for this topic and did not find what i wanted. Anyway when i turn on the ac in my 97 pathy the compressor kicks on and you can hear the bearings in it whining i stuck a stethiscope (spelling?) to it and it is definetely the bearings is there a way to replace these without replacing the whole compressor??? I always thought i would have to replace the whole thing. It has lasted about a year and a half with the whining I figure i am not going to replace it until it goes out completely. I know comoressors are expensive and i want to explore all my options before i have to buy a new one. :help:
  6. ok now i know i am spending too much time on these forums. I was posting here and there and realized i needed to check on my guys to make sure they are working and not sitting around>>>>> . so anyway i was making my way to the back of the warehouse when i seen the girl from the office next door. I am happily married with a beautiful little girl but i can not help saying that this girl is really hot. anyway i wave then ever so gracefully trip over the forks on the forklift and fall flat on my face. All the workers in the warehouse think this is absolutely hilarious. what is worse is the girl saw the whole thing. even worse i had a twinkie in my front pocket and now it is squished. Damit Damit I really wanted that twinkie I bought it at the store last night because i had not had twinkie in years. oh well.... oh and this happened this morning at 10:00
  7. Out here in the Denver area they just passed a law about pit-bulls whereas you have to actually have insurance on the dog and in some counties you cannot have new pit bulls only ones that were grandfathered in before the law passed. I have to say i agree those dogs cause too much trouble. I am kinda biast as my sweet Josie is a black lab with pit bull mix. but it is not much her dad was only like a third pit. so Josie is mainly black lab. and she is a great dog friendly and playful as can be until she is threatened by another dog. then all he!! breaks loose. At my old house i lived with three other guys and one day my buddy brought home a St. Bernard that he agreed to take care of for two weeks without telling me about first. Well me and Josie came home (not knowing the St Bernard was in the house close to josies food) and that was it they immediately went at it hardcore. Now Josie is 90 lbs and the St. Bernard was bigger so you can imagine what it looked like.... Ofcourse my roommates would not help me get them apart so it was all me. finally i got them apart and josie outside. things were not good there was blood all over the place. I checked out josie while my buddy checked out the st bernard turns out the bernard had a hole in its head and a serious gash on the back of it's neck. Josie had a little cut on the nose and that is it. So we had to take the bernard to the vet since it was bleeding pretty badly out of it's head since the owner of the bernard was out of town i floated the bill So the owner of the bernard comes back from vacation finds out what happened. and tried to stiff me for the vet bill ($350.00)saying it was my fault. I was pissed, we argued for a week or so then agreed i would pay a third of it. i was just happy to be done with the whole situation. wow sorry to ramble. :type:
  8. mine are all black with custom scratches :cool2:
  9. Yeah those vehicles are awesome, There is a guy that lives close to me that has one and he takes it off-roading all the time because it is always caked with mud. I have not had a chance to talk to him about it someday.
  10. After reading about Casey T,'s loss I figured maybe i could start a thread to find out what kind of dogs people have b/c they say a dog resembles their owner. let's find out.. Oh and Casey, sorry again ,I know how hard it is to lose one. I lost one a month ago. and was very very very sad for days. So i went out and got another one!! So now I have a 5 year old Black Lab/with a tiny bit of pitbull mix. and a German Shepard puppy. what does everybody else have????
  11. Or you could do what i did to my wifes acura legend. I just took the motor out all together and replace antenna with a stubby rubber antenna you can get from autozone. She had always had problems with the motor for the antenna so I decided to solve the problem once and or all. she says the new antenna got her better reception than the old one ever did. We have since gotten rid of that car. Now she has a honda accord with the antenna built into the rear window. I had this on my old 78 pontiac grand prix except it was built into the windshield. I was always curious on how much it would cost to replace the windshield if it ever broke? anybody ever run into this problem and know how much it cost??? sorry for rambling just my $ .02
  12. ok I have a quick one to tell. It was the weekend and I was at home with my daughter our first and she was only 5 months old. Being a first time dad I was nervous about alot of things but thought that i could handle a day alone with her. (Mom is a nurse and has to work some weekends) anyway the wife was about to come home on lunch break so i thought i would have Sydney (daughter) dressed up for mom. So I picked out some outfit i know my wife wanted to see her in and proceded to change the diaper (damage control) and dress her up. So we are now downstairs sitting on the new suede couch i was really proud of. Sudenly i felt this warm relaxing sensation looked down and Sydney had a great big smile on her face It then dawned on me that she was peeing all over me and the new couch so i am holding her up thinking what the heck happened here the diaper should not have leaked. Then my wife walked in as i am holding our soaked daughter up in the air i am soaked along with the new couch.... So I figured out why she leaked through the clothes. I simply forgot to put on the diaper.... has anybody else ever done this??? sorry i guess it was not as short as i thought.
  13. I think you nailed it right on the head slick. I understand what you are saying about beating something to death. Heck after venge taught me about refining the search i searched a couple of things that were on my mind and bingo it worked like a charm. I am glad we got all this worked out and hopefully there will be no more hatred going on.. i mean what is the point??? btw i dig your truck slick.. the bumper makes it look mean I want one for my r-50...maybe one day first skidplates then sliders....
  14. Awesome that is what i needed I will take all the advice and try to keep this forum going smoothly. thanks.
  15. I was reading some of the posts that have been taking place and things appear to be getting pretty nasty around here. I personally really like this forum i am on it throughout the day at work and sometimes at night when i a at home.. I understand people getting irritated because newer members like myself ask questions that have been asked before. Please remember that we are new and have not seen some of these questions answered before. I realize there is a search function and i do use it. but sometimes it does not answer that questions that i have specifically. So if i have made anybody mad for the questions that i have asked in the past sorry. The last thing i want to do is make any of you mad. I really like talking about my truck with other people who share the same joys of owning a pathy. Alll of you given me good advice and i would like to keep it that way. If i am not using the search function correctly i am open to somebody telling me how to use it to its full potential. So all in all i hope to keep talking to you guys on this forum. Oh and thanks for the tips for far I owe you guys a beer for sure...
  16. sly to some of us newbies these are new topics every time we log on.... -thnkboutit- i do not expect to be spoon-fed but it is nice to discuss topics.besides if everybody just starts searching all the time it is going to get real boring in here.
  17. I have 15x8 chrome wheels and 31x10.50 BFG At KO's on my pathy and I have not scrubbing or any other problems even when i go wheelin to problems at all. actually they look really good on the truck. but then again like 4x4le said why not lift it anyway???? I would have but was short on cash at the time.
  18. I agree. I have not been a member of this forum for very long but you guys have already helped me alot with my pathy. usually when i have a question i do search first. but, tha does not always work and I thought these forums were to help guys like us out there is always some smart-a$$ who is like "search" will add power or whatever. i am not taking shots I just think if you do not like the fact that a post is a re-post from the past-----dont F&^%(ing read it. I just think it is cool that i have a place to write questions about my truck and real people who have the experience to tell me what's up instead of a dealer who just sees dollar signs..I do not want to offend anybody and i will get off my soap box now..
  19. i do most of my posts from work. if i gotta stare at this screen all day i might as well talk about something i like right?? dont work too hard though vengeful. or anybody else that is posting from work.

Wish i could get them today as we are finally going camping this weekend. wanted to do some good wheelin but i do not have anything underneath not even the sissy splash guard!!! Anyway thanks and any additional advice or tips is always appreciated.
