  1. Dam sorry I forgot about this thread and the fact that I asked a question. I am curious if there is a way to tell if my pathy had keyless entry. I could not figure out what model it was as it has been in a couple of wrecks so no badges but the stock wheel size was 235x65/15 according the the sticker in the door jam. So I assume it is an XE?? Still not sure. I just wonder this because when I bought the truck it had an aftermarket alarm with keyless entry. I had to have the aftermarket alarm removed due to complications with the stock alarm. So the keyless entry buttons I had were from the aftermarket alarm ont the stock ones. Ok I am going to shut-up now as I am probably confusing everybody along with myself. any help with my situation would be great. Thanks
  2. I was sitting around today and figured maybe I could build a little something for the pathy so here is what I came up with. Sorry the pics are kinda crappy and the filter there is a cheap knock-off.. I am buying a K&N real soon. Just keep in mind I am not much of a fabricator.
  3. Well a lot of water in the blower motor does not sound good to me. I definetely think you have to drain it first off, then figure out why there is water in it. And whether the water shorted it out. That is what I would think first off but then again there are people here who have probably done this job before I personally have not.
  4. I have never used JB weld.. but I have used a lot of duct tape. Hell duct tape is holding my radiator shroud in place right now until I figure out how to fab something else to hold it in place. I broke both tabs on the top that screw it in place. Dam cheap a$$ plastic.
  5. Sounds to me like the blower motor. I am not sure where the blower motor is on a 92 but I suggest finding it and first trying the redneck fix....hit it couple of times (not too hard) and then try the AC. I just suggest that because the blower motor was going out on a delivery van I used to drive. For awhile I would just get out pop the hood and hit the blower motor a couple of times and it would start working. You can give it a try... if it works then you know it is in the blower motor. If it does not work try maybe it is a fuse or something.
  6. Oops sorry, did not realize you are already parting out your other pathy's. My mistake.
  7. Sounds like a pretty good deal, I am not sure what your plans are but I think I would buy the pathy and part out your other truck since it is already parts and use the cash to mod out your new pathy. Just my opinion.
  8. I bet it would be pita to work on them or really expensive to have them worked on. Parts would probably have to be shipped over.
  9. Yeah killvox give us updates!!! and pics. I am going to buy some and cover the bumpers. back one is plastic front if both metal and plastic not too sure how it is going to stick so I think I will get the roll-on kind instead of the rattle can kind.
  10. Sorry totally my fault, I should have said rolled it on it's side. We (me and pregnant wife)were really lucky it did not completely roll over on to it's top. Again sorry for the misunderstanding.
  11. Here is one example pic of what happens if you do roll it over while moving.
  12. Not sure if this is going to help you but my buddy had a 87 k-5 blazer a while back it was lifted & stuff but it truly was a piece... It always was running hot, he took it to the mechanic several times they flushed his cooling system replaced his thermostat and ran all kinds of tests and everything was working properly but the truck would still run hotter than it should then another buddy told him to make an airdam. just a thick piece of rubber or plastic that hung down in front of the tranny, to force more air into the engine bay he did it and it worked until he blew the engine trying to get unstuck!!! I am just throwing something out there.. If you have skids this probably would not work.
  13. I know somebody from a previous job I had who bought this bedliner that you roll on with a small roller I can not remember where he bought it from but I do rmember him saying that it was really thick stuff like tar. He also said the kit was not expensive at all. I saw his dodge ram after he did it and it looked really good. Anybody know about this "roll-on bedliner?" if so maybe i will try going that route. I will just clean the plastic bumper off really good mabey run som VMP Namptha over it... what do you guys think?
  14. Black ice and going sideways at like 60 will tip it over belive me I did it to mine two thanksgivings ago!!! Managed to winch it back over and drive it the rest of the three hours home!! Sorry I know this does not answer your question at all but I am at work and pretty bored...
  15. I just did my t-belt and I recomend the puller find a place that has free tool rental and do not use the arms.. use the long bolts to connect directly to the pulley trust me i broke my pulley and it cost me 210.00
  16. Ok first Johny boy, you might want to keep that aftermarket alrarm disabled, not sure if it would work like mine on my 97 XE but i had an aftermarket alarm along with the factory alarm, when i bough the truck it came with aftermarket keychain buttons for alarm not a stock one. I thought it would be cool and used the keyless entry feature, well all hell started breaking loose...somehow the aftermarket alarm interfered with the stock one. I would push the button and unlock the doors then when i opened the door BOTH alarms would go off!! I would stick the key in the door to turn off the stock alarm and i would push the button for the aftermarket alarm sometimes it would turn off other times it took like 10 minutes finally one day I unlocked the truck and openeed the door and same thing happened except this time after i finally got both alarms disabled the truck was dead and i tried everything to reset it even had the mechanic down the street come over and he could not figure out why everything was dead so i had to have it towed and repaired. Needless to say I had the aftermarket alarm removed. Now for my second question how can I find out if my truck originally came with keyless entry??? I think maybe if it did that the originaly keychain things were probably tossed?? Is there any way to tell????
  17. Venge--are you implying that the stock tranny cooler on our R50's is not good enough?? If so where did you get yours and what size is necassary? I figure the bigger the better but I do not know much about them at all. Do you need to add more tranny fluid to compensate for the bigger cooler?
  18. Ok update: After my last post i was ready to go to bed, but I have a little bit of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) so even though i have to wake up at 4:30a.m. I still went back outside yet again (it was 11:15 p.m.) after I loosened the two main drive belts and started thinking then even though I know I tightened the power steering belt pretty tight, I figured I should check them all again. Sure enough the power steering belt was loose.... So I tightened it up pretty darn tight, making sure all the mounting brackets etc. were also tight then I went to bed. This morning just before I left the house I hopped in and started the truck and there was not squeal!!!! sounded perfect. Anyway I am waiting for the wifey to call because she will be using the truck today and I will find out if the squeal is definetely gone or not. I feel dumb for tightening and loosening the other two belts so much because my ignorance told me that the power steering belt was tight enough. Once again another lesson learned.
  19. Personally Killvox I say go for it, your truck looks good with all the black and dark green that it is so I think it will look pretty sharp. On a side note somebody mentioned that they used the bedliner to spray their bumpers I am curious about this. I do not have any experience with bedliner but i have seen alot of trucks with it and dig it. My pathy has the black plastic rear bumper and the front is black too but the caps are plastic and the middle section appears to be metal how well does the bedliner stick to plastic??? Any input? becuase I want to paint my bumpers.
