  1. Check out this link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissan-Path...sspagenameZWDVW I don't recommend buying it (Check junkyards), but you can see the tools that come with the Pathy. The spark plug tools are the 3rd and 4th tools from the top. The 4th is the long socket, and the 3rd tool is the bent arm used to turn the socket at the funky angle.
  2. Yeah go with the 01 since it has fewer miles and new parts. The 02 has the nicer rims, imo, but that's no reason to go for it especially if you're gonna throw on some aftermarket rims.
  3. As stated earlier, nissan only wreckers has a salvage one with the rear end still intact: http://www.ninfiniti.com/index.asp
  4. Add a match to the inevitable gasoline bath that comes from doing the fuel filter, and it'll keep you warm in the winter. :allclean:
  5. Fuel filter you can do on your own if you want. But your mechanic sounds like an honest guy for that $600 in work.
  6. The only swap you can do is between R50s.... I assume you have the newer ones that are more aerodynamic so there's no point in downgrading to the older ones.
  7. Since you already have a system in the back, you can just add a fused distribution block for stereo components from any stereo store. I'm running one 4AWG wire back from the battery into a distribution block that powers an amp, an inverter, and has two extra fused slots for roof lights whenever I decide to get them. Its pretty easy since there are set screws that lock the wires into the block. I got mine from here: http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.c...20Fuse%20Blocks
  8. They should at least part out the R50 that got wrecked in the commercial... can NPORA sue them for defamation?
  9. Been wanting to get the hubs for awhile now too. I always hear of the Warn ones, but never of the Mile Marker ones. Anyone use the Mile Marker ones on AC?
  10. running 35s all around. nissan recommends the lower tire pressure for a smoother ride cuz that's what soccer moms want.
  11. I know the issue with most plug-and-play conversion kits with regular D2S or D2R HID bulbs is that the filament is in the wrong place so the light doesn't work properly with the halogen reflector lenses. If you get a chance, I'm curious where the filament is in your HID bulb relative to a stock 9004 halogen. I assume that your HID bulbs with your kit are custom rather than the regular D2S and D2R bulbs. Can't wait for the pics! (And btw, your wife sounds really cool!)
  12. Too bad she didn't pull this while you were in your *other* ride... that would have taught her a lesson about looking around.
  13. If she says you hit her passenger side, that's almost impossible cuz your damage is on your front passenger bumper.... unless she was going the WRONG WAY on the side of the road or making a right turn from the left lane. So let her claim that. hehe Was the U-turn legal -eg: no double yellow lines? Just make sure she doesn't claim she was going straight, and you were changing lanes from right to left. Sucks that it happened to your ARB.
  14. Be careful when removing the screws holding the cluster in because its really easy to drop them down into these convenient holes Nissan put in. After removing the cluster, flip her around, and you'll see the bulbs held in by twisty holders. There are four bulbs for illumination. As you said, the bulb you want is between the speedometer and fuel gauge. For reference, another bulb is between the tachometer/temp gauge, and the other two are a little below the turn signals indicators.
  15. Don't forget the sticker on the box. The sticker is the key to adding HP.
  16. With resistors, if you wanna drop the resistane in the circuit, you hook them up parallel. So instead of putting your resistor inline, hook it up parallel to the sensor. However, I dunno if that will mess up the sensor, but that's how you bump the resistance of the whole circuit down. I've actually tried to install the overhead console before. While testing, I put the unit into calibration mode for the compass, and I can't get it out of the mode. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the power as well as the driving around in circles for 10 mins, but its still stuck. Any suggestions on reseting the compass?
  17. Try throwing some extra blankets or thick jackets over the wheelwells next time it rains as a temp solution.
  18. In regards to the hubs and wheeling, check and see if the suspension has been changed - eg: the OEM shocks and struts had black bodies. Not necessarily saying changing suspension means wheeling, but you can kinda get a feel for how hard (or wheeled) the pathy was driven if the suspension was redone. Expect to pay about $600-800 for the timing belt, although you'd still have a good 20k before the change. Also I'm not sure if they fixed it in the 99.5, but the exhaust manifolds (headers) in R50s have been known to crack and leak exhaust so check if that got fixed.
  19. Interesting.... I wonder if the foreign Terranos have this setup, or if this was just something Nissan scrapped completely due to budget or something. Post some pics!
  20. Looks nice...but beware, once you get the lift, you're gonna want even bigger shoes!
  21. It's really up to you. When I installed my KYB struts and OME springs up front, I had an alignment done, and comparing the alignment sheet before and after, they were fine before. I basically ended up paying them to go "your alignment is fine."
  22. PM 98silverpathy..... he's dealing with problems that arose from JWT cams in his throttle body thread.
  23. Also snoop around the region specific forums on here and at AC. It's more fun to go wheeling with another more-modded up R50 so you can really see the capabilities of your truck..... and how deep of a hole its gonna burn in your wallet.
  24. http://www.ninfiniti.com/ should have it.
  25. Another option through the firewall is through the grommet for the hood release latch wire. It's pretty big, and I'm running a 4 gauger through.
