    I've got gas

I don't know when it happened but somewhere along the way I've either punctured my tank or cracked the line or the filler neck. There is a constant and noticeable smell of gas around the truck and if I look underneath I can see what looks like moisture on the "skid plate." I'm pretty sure it is only a slow leak because it doesn't affect my guage very much but it needs to be remedied ASAP. So Spokane folks here's where I need you. Who knows a shop that will fix something like this here in town? Thanks
  2. Very nice. How is it to load. The last Beretta I shot was really hard to load as the mag approached capacity. It was a 9mm though. Looking good. I'm saving for my 1911.

    Swap anyone?

So are you gonna build this motor or just rebuild it?
  4. What do you all like to use to clean up the inside of your baby? I used to be an armorall fan but I read that anything silicone based will actually enhance the destructive power of solar rays on plastic and rubber surfaces. I've read alot of good stuff about various other products around. What are the Pathy preferences?
  5. Hey buddy, I've been good. Busy with school and moving in with Lisa, yep its true. How've you been? Say, you wouldn't know any good (honest, trustworthy) mechanics in Spokompton would ya? Lisa's power steering pump went out on her GrandAM so its armstrong steering till it gets fixed. pssd Good luck in Maui you lucky dog. WHy the move?? And when can we all come do some Hawaiian off-roading? -bounce-
  6. Hey I remember this site. Seems like forever since I've been on. But yeah another East-sider here. Cheney to be exact, but Spokane is a mere 30 minutes away. A late spring/summer Pathy getaway will be in order I think.

It did it again today. Its only when the temp drops below freezing. I took it in to the mechanic my Dad and I go to here he couldn't find anything wrong but has a few ideas. If it happens more I'll go see what he says.

I'll go pay those clutch guys a visit with my Yugoslavian friend, yeah, oil checked out ok. and nope its not payed for yet. Between this and the :furious: stereo I want to steer it into a :X tree!!!! I hate cars Where's that damn whiskey
  9. What the crap?!! I tried getting power to the pink leads, nothing. Then I noticed that the black ground wire on the aftermarket harness goes nowhere. I wire in a ground, nothing. And if I have a wire from my battery to the amp leads my parking lights turn on!! WTF? I'm still getting no sound and the "mute" light is flashing on my deck but its not muted. ARRGH!! :furious: The deck has worked fine in the last two vehicles I've had it in.

Well once it spent the night in the garage in Cle Elum it started right up and has been fine since then. I did replace the negative battery cable terminal because it was loose. Now my concern is the fact that the low oil pressure light flickered on while I was driving on I-5 yesterday. It came on at Fife and I pulled over to check the oil and the light hasn't come on since. Lisa's Dad's advice is to sell it.

Haven't gotten to it yet. I've been typing all day. Gotta love last minute final projects. I've been staring at this screen for 3 days straight The end is in sight, however. -bounce-

Well I'll check out that battery tomorrow. I don't have a multimeter though, the damn thing's at home. I'm guessing that's what the problem is. A couple days ago I had *trouble* getting it started but now its totally kaput. I'll try to jump it tomorrow see where it goes from there.

damn this cold weather. Its killed my pathy! :furious: I turn the key and the lights come on and such but no start, it doesn't even crank. WTF? I don't really know what to look for. The antifreeze looked ok and the batt is charged, it seems. Help please :help:
  14. Black with that unfortunate dealer-installed pinstriping. <shakes head>
  15. If that's the case I'll just wait till I go home over Christmas and do it while I put my stereo in.
  16. Hey, I forgot to reply to this. Thanks for the call Casey.T Yes I got her back. My folks' account is 975 bucks lighter but my Pathy drives like new Thanks Mom & Dad I had a heck of a time gettting her started today. The first time it was *click*. I thought oh sh*t, dead battery. The second time it was a soft sound of a small electric motor so I opend the hood (like I could tell if anything was wrong) and tried it again and it fired right up. It has been fine since then. Wierd science. BTW, anyone replaced the bulbs behind the heater controls? Mine is in blackout mode.
  17. I'm glad to see that they're not sitting on your backseat any more. Sounds awesome..except for the $1250 part though.
  18. The way I see it. The dirtier the better. And (as I learned from a former SAS member) if you keep your car dirty its easier to see if anyone's messed with it. 'Course he was worried about the IRA, but still, its a good idea nonetheless.
  19. Since it took the mechanic 2 whole days to fix my clutch I get to pick it up when I get back to Cheney. I hope the $950 he quoted me is accurate. :contract: I just can't wait to see what a difference a new clutch assembly makes. I think its been failing for a while now. Maybe I'm not as good a driver as I thought... Oh well. Snows-a-comin and its time to enjoy the 4X4 again. Don't worry, I'll go easy on her.
  20. Well too bad I didn't see this until now. Of course you're right, I go I-84 and get to miss out on that Snoqualmie joy. I know that this Sunday (tomorrow) is expected to be horrible on I-90. Up to 16 hour delays possible!!! I'd avoid that mess alltogether if you can. For me from Vancouver up I-84 to Umatilla then North on 395/I-82 through Tri-Cities its 6 hours with stops. Tack on another 2 or so from Tacoma and it puts you in Spo-Compton in about 8. Is it worth it? I dunno. Is it worth the risk of a Snoqualmie mess? Up to you. Good luck either way you go. A tip: If you decide to go the I-84 route. When you get to the Kennewick exit take it. It forces you to go through town but its better than the long way around on 82 IMO.

    Shot clutch?

Yesterday as I was driving I was having the hardest time shifting into 1st gear. Every other gear was fine but getting into 1st at a stop was rediculous. I had to force the shifter into place. That cannot be good. I'm going to take it somewhere tomorrow to get it looked at. Hey, just in time for the 400 mile trip home :furious:
  22. Those headers would stay put a lot better if they were bolted to your engine. BTW what part of P-town are you from? Know any good off-road areas near there?
  23. I still need to teach her a 5 speed. Yeah. I'm heading to Vancouver (WA) and I think DJDank is heading near Tacoma. I think a holiday run will be in order.
  24. Haha. Well Lisa is coming, if that's what you mean. Man I miss that place. Do they still have nickel games like the old days?
  25. Its got to be beer. Northwest brews are the finest around. Any fan should go out to the nearest bookstore and pick up " The Big Book o' Beer" by Duane Swierczynski. Its a must-read. For as Benjamin Franklin once said, "Beer is proof that God loves us." Life, alas, Is very dear. Up with the glass, Down with the beer! Edit: High Life, summer sausage, cheese and pretzels. That's livin' the dream right there.
