Hate R50's???? If I found the right one cheap enough I might buy it... but for now its just simple fun... I will deny any knowledge of this post....
-
The top 2 you can get if your intake is off still.....

Wanna Bet???? If it fits in a S12... Time and $$$ is all it takes... Now squeezing the Twin Turbo's thats gonna hurt... TT also has a different transmission... Lots of extra exhaust items along with all the intake.... If you stripped the front end to the frame rails and built back up from there....
-
Do you have any type of Manual on your Pathy??? Chiltons/Haynes??? Down loaded the FSM??? If not, go do it now.... RTFB before you dive in any further, it may not have everything, but it will answer most questions...

Why do I like Pathfinders.... Back in 1986 I saw that Pathfinder Commercial of them bouncing through the Mud in Brazil... At that time I was in the AirForce driving a 1982 FJ40... Every time I saw a Pathfinder I wanted one... I got my 88 in 1990.... In the 17 years I have had a Pathfinder it has only left me stranded once to where I had to walk out(Dam Sink Hole) I drove it out of that hole in the morning. I have had a couple of starter issues and one blown timing belts(my own fault for not changing it when I had the chance and when it was suggested) I dont know how it is, but I can not recall ever even sitting in a R50, looked in a few... I know for a fact i have not sat in a 05 or newer.... The 08's with the V8 I may have to bite the Bullet.... I am Happy to take on all Challenges off Road against those guys... Like when Jessica went camping and the BF left his 2006 Ford F250 with the 8" on lift in the paved parking lot and they drove the 92 up the foot path to the lake....

The neighbor boy says he found out about it on a web site.... I thought someone up the street had a WIFI network in the house and they dont... they had lawn chairs out there tonight...
-
My wife annoys the hell out of me... yet another day of nothing accomplished around the house because she was baby sitting the grandson so the daughter could run around all day... One of the boys, wont say which forgetting/not correctly cleaning his back side after going to the bathroom.... Do I really need to teach him how to clean it with a BRILLO PAD???? I promise he will never do it again... Providing Transportation for the 18 year old so that the vehicle is safer than a 80 something escort and she wont take 10 min to change the oil after me ranting about it for 2 weeks.... It will take one of us to get it started again, something came up missing while she was in the shower, now shes crying because i wont go out and look at it... All the kids in the neighborhood standing around the main Cable box for the street because they figured out they can tap the Comcast WI-FI with their Nintendo DS's.... I do give them credit for ingenuity... Getting home and finding someone else vehicle parked in my spot in the driveway... god that is annoying... Im the one that is paying for the house and that includes the fking DRIVEWAY!!! Going to grab a Mikes from the fridge in the garage and noticing that 12 of the 24 are gone.... I bought it last night and put it in the fridge, and had the 1 that was left over from the previous Case.... Guess it was just timing...

Put a decent Magnet in the bucket as well... Strain the fluid back through a Screen and coffee filter....
-
Stock UCA's, Aftermarket Shocks(they dont add Lift), no Spring cans or spacers... No huge gaps between the frame rails and the body... Appears you Pathy just has not sagged that much over the years....
-
If your going to completely rebuild the heads(Seals/Guides/Laping/Valves/ P&P) Hot tank em after you strip it down.... If your using them as is, its careful cleaning by hand...
-
Now that you have it in pieces Have everything hot tanked and cleaned up real good... Thorough inspection of all parts being reused... If your going this far on the block, how far do you want to go on the Heads???
-
*Thinks about giving Green a budget and a shopping list.... Electric fan conversion and your losing power with it kicking on??? I know the AC on drains my 91 down to a slug and I usually dont have it on, the 95 it not quite as bad. Both still have the stock fan...
-
Are you just dropping this new/used motor in???? not gonna do the gaskets??? IMO, the $100 on a Gasket set and the evening or 2 to do it would be well spent time and $$$$.... While your at it, get some Thorleys as well.
-
The whole engine remove and replace is a sectional thing.... Hood... Trust me Intake(remove the hose going to the TB and the Air box)Throttel Cables. Cooling Assmbly items (Shroud, Rad, Hoses, clutchfan, Belts) Accessory Items remove from engine mounting points(I had all mine still attached to the wiring, just moved up out of the way..Saves on bleeding/Recharging systems) Exhaust.. optimal time to upgrade to some Thorleys... Fix the broken studs before re-installing the new motor Trans bolts, Starter (4 bolts that attach the flywheel to the Torque Converter through the hole where the starter was) then the fun begins:)
-
Pull the Rad with the hose attached.... Eliminate the problem of not enough space.... Then when the Rad and hose are out you have space to remove and replace that hose when you re-install it.... K I S S
-
See it was not that difficult... Kinda fun too wasnt it....
-
*Kicks GG.... I was gonna mention that this Pathy is a 4banger..... With 35s depending on the off-set and width of the tire will determin how much trimming gets to be done... Because this is not a mall crawling Pathy, i would think he will require more trimming... That or figure out a way to drop the front Diff another 2 or 3"....

:worthless: Welcome

Well maybe if he has not changed his Timing belt.... but if he is playing with the PS, Im sure he has either proof of it being done, or its on the top of his list.... Got any pictures of it getting muddy???

-
