FYI.. in the past i looked at the specs of the Rancho RS5000's compared to the RS9000's... the 5000's are longer even though they are both called for the same vehicle and ride height.. so u'll get a lil more travel outta the 5000's they've worked great for me too!

some pathys came with cupholders?... i'm going to the dismantlers in the morning!
-
ben, if i remember right you do need to take out the cross member.. but i don't think you'll be able to keep everything from sliding apart to prevent re-aligning/indexnig the torsions. i would just pull the torsions out then teh cross member.

looks to me like that won't work on the (W)D21s.. it needs that plug ....
-
i took an extra ECU appart to take a peek under the cover.. it's not that exciting.. yes the chip is soldered on teh board.. and from what i have read they unsolder the stock chip and put a socket in there so from then on teh chips can be replaced by sinmply pulling the chp out of the socket and pressing in a new one... Where can i get a chip reader/programmer and editor for these ships?.. i'd like to start playing with it. i already have a pretty good i dea of how it all works etc. i've been a EET major in school for over 2 years now.. 've done alot of c, c++ & assembly programmig as well as visual basic and webpage stuff...

i spoke to the guys at JET they said JWT will do a more in depth tune so just take it there.

one of the wires for you main stereo head unit is a constant 12v i'm sure if you look in the owners manual for the stereo it'l say waht color it is of the wires powering the headunit. i'd splice it off of there

well there is a Mass Air Flow sensor on the intake tube..... but i'm not sure about a temp sensor
-
i don't remember for sure but i think the short end does go in the head... my reason for this is because if you put the short side out the nut may bottom out on the non-threaded portion of the bolt before tightening... but maybe someone else can chime in to verfiy or correct me.
-
on thier page it looks like you need to send it in just like you would with JWT
-
Just found that JET Performance also reprograms the pathy ECU... i wonder how it compares to the JWT program??.... any input??

well i figured with it being a steel spacer and grade 8 bolts.. it wasn't gonna go far and i havn't had any trouble with it. Let me know if you have any questions
-
woah!! i diddn't know this thread was still going!!.. yeah the brackets for the tranny cross members are different. all i did was get a piece of sqaure steel tubing and bolted it in as a spacer for the 4wd tranny cross member.. the other question i got was why not SAS it?... 1. i don't know how to weld 2. diddn't have to time to have the pathy down for that long...(even though the project lasted longer than it should have) 3.i learned alot 4. i diddn't think i'd be hooked on 4 wheeling like i am today.. so... an SAS is in the near future so was it worth it??... i think i learned more jumping into this project than if i would have spent the same amount of money and more time in a classroom ... so yes i think it was worht it ..for me.. i've been 4wd for about 8 months now.... and the IFS stuff is gonna come back out for an SAS soon... it's been alota work .. but also alotta learnin'

it's in the tank.. i belive that the round panel under the carpet in the rear cargo area gives you access to it w/o dropping the tank.
-
looks like i'm gonna have to tear it appart... where can i get them decked??... maybe i'll just march down to thorleys door.. thats where i got them to begin with...the build everything in house..they should be able to fix everything in house too
-
so the intimidation diddn't work but... i did look at the sticker..so they weight like between 2500 and 2750 stock...
-
eh.. i'm gonna go stare at my headers to see if i can intimidate them so they'l shut up... while i'm out there i'll look at the door.. ha thnx n e ways
-
lol it's ok ..but lets figure i don't have doors just because i don't feel like walking outside. therfore i can't look at the sticker
-
