  1. I'm going to do a few pairs of R50 lowers in the first run. a few pairs of WD21 Lowers and a few pairs of Uppers.
  2. BFG was thinking about redesigning the A/T back in oct. so they may be phasing them out now. but i'm not 100% sure.
  3. Yes I've been running these JJ's on my truck since august. http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/blog/2008/08...e-johnny-joint/ PM Sent
  4. A little soft but not bad at all, if they were any stiffer @ the same ride height they would float at full droop. I just got back from calico, CA and those bilsteins need some stiffer valving. the springs flex nice. I'm going to be working on that, but it's going to take more time than the HD stock replacement links.
  5. i'm also surprised you were stuck. we went to pull bigdave out about a month ago and we were going to through like 3 ft of powder. about 1.5ft in the pic:
  6. I'm running 12" Travel Walker Eavans coilovers in the front Full SAS Writeup: http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/blog/2008/12...xle-conversion/
  7. haha yeah, i want to beat the hell out of this setup before anyone else runs it on the trail. the johnny links are already a proven design.
  8. it technically could be done that way, but having adjustable links with single point threading is a much cleaner setup. I use weld in bungs when i need a one off part or if it's a prototype, and i honestly don't think it will save that much money since it's more labor intensive having to notch the tube, then weld it straight etc. With single point threading, once the CNC is programmed, they all come out the same. Also if you were to make these out of 2" DOM and bungs you can figure $160 for 4 JJs, $100 for 4 bungs and 4 jam nuts and about another $55 in DOM. which puts you at $315 and thats no labor to weld it together and no powder coating either.
  9. I'd go with the doug throely Headers. and although you want a straight bolt on install, it'll honestly be best to install the headers yourself then take your truck to an exhaust shop to have it ran with 2.5" pipe all the way back. But either way you do it. doug thorley is your best bet, i've heard too many stories about pacesetter
  10. here are some pics of my truck: http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/gallery/v/sa...san-pathfinder/ If they are going to print, then I can e-mail you full quality pics if you need them
  11. I'm looking at turning this rear suspension into a production part sometime in the next few months, but this was done by Toyota Masters in Colton, CA by Jay King. He does great work. Only the top needs to be triangulated. Street Manners have been greatly improved over what i had in there before. being SAS'd it doesn't drive as good as it was IFS but i still can drive on the hwy with little trouble. 65mph is not a problem. yes, those are bilstein 12" travel.
  12. Thanks guys, I'm moving on this as fast as possible. This price is not set in stone but right now we are looking at about $325 for a pair of Lower WD21 Links complete w/ JJ's and Jam nuts. I do plan on getting Uppers done as well. With the amount of material i plan on ordering for this first run i should have 20 links (10 pairs) of lowers and a couple pairs of uppers. The price on the uppers will most likely be a little cheaper due to using less material but they will use the same johnny joints and the rest of the process in making them is the same.
  13. If there is enuogh interest for these links for the R50 Apps, i'll have them done. Here is the thread on the WD21 links: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=21113
  14. Another Kiwi!! so far we have 2 that i know of... I'd have to wait untill i get i get them made, see what they weigh, and go from there. so it'll be whatever i pay, i don't make $ on shipping.
  15. I've got pricing on the materials, joints, powdercoating, but i missed the call the from the machine shop today which it the last thing i need to come up with a final price. I'll be calling the machine shop back in the morning, and i should FINALLY have the Final price. Sorry this is taking so long,
  16. The tube will be cut to length, single point threaded and powder coated. The JJ's are not your normal JJ's. Regular JJ's are 2-5/8 wide and the stock bushings on these trucks are 2-3/8. the JJs that you will get with these links are are modified for the 2-3/8 wide application. The links will also be Right-hand-thread on one end and Left on the other for easy adjusting. also me buying in bulk from currie is not different than me buying a few at a time, my dealer price stays the same.
  17. I was supposed to be getting a phone call back and an e-mail from another place, Nothing yet. I am going to down to a shop first thing in the morning.
  18. I'm working on getting pricing by the end of the day, and will post here as soon as I get more info. Anyone else? By saying you are interested, you are not commiting, i'm only looking for how many people like the idea, and would consider buying them.
  19. it's really no different if you run Calmini UCAs, or SLR steering etc... So back to the original reason i posted this.... who is interested in these? Maybe i should have made this thread a poll.
  20. Basically there is a urethane bushing surrounding the ball in the middle that absorbs shock and help eliminate road noise getting transfered through the joint into the truck itself. Exactly right. taken into consideration.
  21. i'm not saying it's won't be safe to drive. it's basically a release of liability on my part. It basically falls into the same category as Rubicon Express, Calmini, or any other suspension manufacturer. Here is Curries Terms and Conditions: Any alteration or improper use will void this warranty. Because all parts which we sell are intended for use in heavy duty applications, it is not possible to warranty or guarantee the performance of any items. Further, we disclaim any liability for action resulting from failure or parts durability. We disclaim any express or implied warranties. Our products may be subject to an infinite variety of conditions due to the manner in which they are used, serviced and/or installed. Purchasers and users of such products rely upon their own judgement as to the suitable use, selection, service, and installation of such products. Calmini: CALMINI Products, Inc. guarantees that all of its parts are of the finest quality and free from manufacturing defects. Any product that we feel has been manufactured incorrectly or is of a defective nature will be repaired or replaced at our sole discretion. ALL WARRANTIES ARE VOID IF THE PRODUCT IS SUBJECT TO ABUSE, CRASH DAMAGE, IMPROPER INSTALLATION, OR MODIFICATION OF ANY KIND. All parts not manufactured by CALMINI Products, Inc. are subject to the manufacturer's own warranty policy. We are not responsible for any installation charges incurred when installing our products. We cannot be responsible for other manufacturer's products. I'd fall in the same boat as them, and say the same thing for my terms and conditions.
