I guess steve doesn't wheel hard enough then ...he didn't develop the rear 4 link and wheel it hard

Also r u running rs9000 shocks...BC the shock will severely impact ride...take the shocks off and drive it and see how it feels...it'll be more bouncy but u can def see if the dampener rate is too high

Actually cutting the spring won't make it stiffer since the spring rate is linear...it just means you can bottom out earlier....the AC could don't have dual stages (different coil rate) so therefore u can cut and adjust the height

Do that or cut off 1/4 coil of the AC at a time until u get the lift u want...or ride for 2-3 weeks with 400lbs of stuff in the back and they will sag

Steve has had a 35 on his since he SASd it I believe...don't recall him having any issues

2 gallons of clear was 200$...2 gallons of the grey was like $160...spent $20 on 2 roller/brush/ pan combos...I got OSR (oil stain remover) for like $30 then I got 3 gallons of bond lock cleaner but I didn't realize that comes in the kit of grey epoxy...so it could be done for like $400 It takes 24 hrs to do the bond loc....then the grey epoxy has to cure for 24 hrs before the clear can go on and 24 hrs for the clear to cure to foot traffic and 72 hrs for vehicle traffic depending on temperatures... Changed through oil in the Tacoma tonight and wiping up the little bit of oil spilled was awesome

U obviously don't know me....if u piss me off enough to pull a valve stem...I sure as @!*% don't want u to refill it...I want u to call a professional to tell u u r missing a $0.02 part on all 4 or 5 wheels...if u r gonna do it do it right and Id rather give some stems than a new tire (slashed it) BC at that point its non destructive...

Magnets don't work for aluminum shavings...or stainless for that matter but yea the magnet this works good if its not stuck and just floating

I learned the q-tip thing from a guy that worked for Aero union...he was drilling upside down and it got between his glasses...he couldn't get it out so I had to use the q-tip while he held his eye open...it was crazy but we got it...I have used it one time since then

So I just finished epoxying the garage and don't have kerosene or acetone here at the house so I grabbed some fingernail polish remover to clean up...between the long hours...beer and fumes this topic is the result... Another one i use is Q-tips...if u get a metal shard in hire eye...fluff the tip of a Q-tip up and barely touch the metal with ure eye held open...works kinda like Velcro where the shard is rough and the cotton grabs it... I knew a guy who kept unscented tampons in his box for nose bleeds and soaking up lots of blood if u cut/smashed or did something else to make u leak all over the place....hey that's what they were developed for right? Curious if anyone else has other products that work in the garage and/or are kept in their tool box

Another late night at the office but I'm clear coating tonight...got the anti skid zone mapped out so I can clear everything (except the masked area) and come back and pull the tape and roll that after I add in the anti skid for the walkway

At least now when she can't get up something shell understand y I need to spend $ to upgrade...but ill have to spend it twice for both trucks

Worst I have to worry about is jacks and jackstands...I stopped at the door and I blacked out my windows so the fading shouldn't be an issue...I plan to keep a clear kit and grey kit to touch up (divide and measure out the ratios between epoxy and catalyst) but wiping up messes is a big thing and it looking half decent...we don't plan on parking in the garage with hot tires so I hope that gives us some more longevity

Lol neck is a compliment...one of our project managers was making fun of us BC we pulled a replacement 12v battery out to replace the one I drilled thru and made leak everywhere...used alligator clips to a 12v cigarette lighter socket...to an accessory speaker teathered to my phone jamming to my randy Houser Pandora station while we worked...like my title says I'm and an engineer and imma redneck...I'm taking a vehicle that's nothing close to our new vehciels and have hacked,welded and tabbed parts up to make it happen...I plan to be done at 10 am tomorrow before they go beat on it at noon... First time I drove my pathfinder in 6 ot 7 people approached me asking if that was my truck...I asked what color and chuckled...white and green is what everyone said...all that can bring said is I R one

Our son is only 13 months...last wheeling I've done was moab last may (he was only 3 months then and she stayed home with him)...my pathy has been "BROKEN" since moab...her pathy is her only mode of transportation so I don't want to go break it but we are planning on going to gulches on the 21st to watch some rock races and pop her trucks cherry...I have a feeling she's already got the bug from me but now with her wheeling will make 2 of us...this can't be good

Saw this at work...and we were able to use it BC a schrader valve was missing and we were able to use this cap to swap one from a bad tire...could be helpful overladen if u pop a bead and don't want to fumble with a scraper valve tool to reseat a tire bead (I've done this too many times) So it screws on like a normal valve stem cap but the facing out side is the schrader valve tool The first pic is schrader valve side...the other side is the standard valve stem threaded side

Gf calls me...guy 2 doors down I guess got stuck and stopped by BC he saw the Pathfinders and asked for a recovery...well I was at work and she's never put her truck in 4x4 before...she couldn't find my strap so she grabbed some rope and some tie straps.... I folder her how to go to 4lo but we haven't trimmed the floor yet so it wouldn't go to low but I guess she was able to get him out... Now for the rest of the story...she pulled out a Jetta hurried to the frame...as soon as I got home she has demanded that we go to gulches and take her truck wheeling...guy I guess wants to get me new rope and tie straps that they broke and a dinner...told him not to worry about it but now the guys at work think I'm a huge [red]neck BC my woman went and pulled someone out...sadly she didn't get pics... She had also explained that she bent tie rods...come to find out she meant tie strap which was a relief BC bent tres aren't uncommon Just thought it was a funny story worth sharing ...

Well there r roller marks...but I'm going to clear coat it BC I can life with it...I just got home from work...solid 14 hr day so clear coat isn't going on tongith

Tomorrow is clear coat and the following day a 2' wide strip down the middle of the garage with the anti skid additive...holy crap tho....I couldn't have the door open BC winds were ~15-20 MPH and I'm not feeling so hot now...definitely couldn't huff paint for a past time

Prepped Coated I have some concerns on a couple spots that are lighter than others but we shall see tomorrow

Checked it...I'm good to go...epoxy is cooking and going to start trimming and rolling in 15 mins

I wasn't getting any more beading after several different degreasers but its still visible so I'm hoping that its just deep stains...it being a 2 part epoxy should hopefully bond better than paint...the floor looked good this morning before work...ill do a water break test again tonight and if all is good on goes the first epoxy and hopefully the clear coat tomorrow
