  1. Looks good Rami, what size tires are you running? EDIT: As it was brought to my attention... Rami has 31 x 10.50 BFG M/T's. Like it says at the very top.
  2. Hey Scott, you should be getting yours first on Monday since you're only across the state... Everyone else should be expecting theirs throughout the week. Pezzy might have to wait an extra couple of days since its gotta go all the way to the E coast and Canada. :cool2: I'll let you know when I get them.
  3. Good job DJ, it’s much appreciated!
  4. Although I agree with some of the other options if you just looking for a permanently mounted rack that does not take a lot of work, yet is functional enough for most things. You would do like I did, and take measurements of the max size you want to mount, then look around in a wrecking yard. I ended up getting a rack from a 90’s Blazer, since the blazer was a four door it was a bit longer than I wanted. But that was easily solved by trimming the front-to-back bars down (it was also a bit wide but again, it was just a little trimming of the cross bars). After getting its dimensions correct I test fitted it. Then marked its location and drilled the holes. Once mounted, it’s solid as can be… I have put it to the test many times now.
  5. LOL I can relate to that.. I too wish the same. notorious, Take good care of that thing and she'll treat you right
  6. Welcome to the NPORA Forums!
  7. Ok got it home today.. What a PITA to do by yourself (given the place it was parked) I was unable to devote much time at all to it after getting it home. But, I did notice that one of the cams "appears" to be one tooth off. This is in relation to each other and the cam timing marks. How they are compared to the cranks position, I do not yet know. EDIT: she was in one piece (other that what I removed) and otherwise unharmed.
  8. Ok by dizzy, are you referring to the distributor? If so then yes (as B already said), they do have one. I have not removed that but have adjusted it in the past couple weeks. However, prior to loosening the retaining bolt, I marked its position. It was also returned to the same location as it was before I started "adjusting" it.
  9. I am borrowing my neighbor’s truck tomorrow to go get it. Mr. Pickles, I thank you much for the offer! Timing Belt is.. umm lets see, last changed when I replaced the broken RH cam… maybe 1.5yrs or maybe 25-30K ago Abrasive materials: Yes, some dirt possibly, but very little if any. Spark: I checked the coil wire and cylinders 1and 3… Will check it all after I get her home. V6.. a “dizzy”? Timing: Will be verifying the cams/crank timing marks and belts relation after its home. --------------- Went and checked on it tonight and so far so good, but the store/gas station was still open at the time.
  10. When I replaced my clutch, I too was able to do it without removing the T-Bars. I did unbolt the X-Member (supported by blocks) but did not have to remove the bars.
  11. Yeah Slick, you should feel special. Poor B over there's been just such a good boy sitting and waiting so patiently. But all kidding aside, thanks for everyone for being so patient and realizing that I'm doing all this in my spare time. I know once you get them, you'll be very pleased! Thanks again
  12. Shower Curtain? :::sigh of relief::: So they will be water proof!
  13. More, much bigger problems.. First a little update… Changed the plugs a couple day’s ago. Put in some Autolites (it was all they had six of) then after test drive I immediately removed them... truck ran like sh*t. Took them back the next day and got my money back. Found a Schucks that had NGK’s (Standard Plug) in stock. Installed them last night and also changed the TBI gaskets, as I discovered that one or both of them were leaking. Ok now the current situation… Today it ran decent though it suffered from a bit of a power loss. This became a little more obvious later on my way home from work. Then it just died, I coasted it off the road and into a gas station parking lot. I did not hear anything just before or when it died, because there was a semi right next to me and it was in dire need of new exhaust… so much so that I could hardly hear my radio. The Path as far as I could tell, simply died. I did not even know it until I tried to accelerate (I was coasting towards a red light at the time) . Since I have been through something very like this before I did not try to start it right away. Last time it “just died” while driving down the road I was doing 60mph and the RH Cam snapped. So instead I pulled the upper timing cover and inspected the belt and camshaft sprocket gears… all looked good. Pulled the RH valve cover and inspected that as well, again it all looked good. One thing that I did notice when pulled the air cleaner off was that fuel was around the mounting stud holes and all over the underside of the sir cleaner cover. Trying to start it without the air cleaner assembly cover on resulted in fuel splashing up (more like a fine mist, I guess). But again, the cylinders never fired. Note that it is getting spark. I was not able to verify that the timing was correct, for check to see if the timing belt had jumped any teeth on any pulleys. Right now it’s sitting in Puyallup (30 miles or so away from home) and I am nervous as hell that it won’t be there or will be damaged when I get back to pick it up tomorrow afternoon.
  14. For the same reasons 88 stated above, I votes "Yes, Kinda" even though it's not totally the war, or any one thing.
  15. I don't thinks there even enough of us on this coast to help you make one trip!
  16. LOL, that's great.. and soooo true!
  17. That looks good :::Might have to steal that idea::: sly

  19. Two for me... 1988 Nissan Pathfinder SE 1983 Toyota 4X4 (HiLux) SR5
  20. Stupid Tick!!!! Now that the right side is quiet the left side can be heard! :furious: Oh and now I am experiencing a loss of power... Can't win I tell ya :sniff:
  21. The CAM looks ok (It is maybe 1.5yrs old) Below is a pic, not the greatest. Camera sucks so I had to use my scanner to get the image. E/I1 have marks/flat spots on them. E3 and I5 also have a couple. E5 is by far in the worst shape. it's kind of hard to see but running left to right and a little top to bottom (middle of lifter), is a depression.
