  1. Ok with the WD21's poll winding down, let's move onto the R50's.
  2. Although it's not that bad of a job.. it can be time consuming if: 1: You've never done it before 2: You don't have a fairly equipped toolbox 3: You don't have an appropriate place to do it. 4: You are not very mechanically inclined That said, you can probably get the parts for less than they are charging.. I got my last T-Belt for $21 iirc. But if your not comfortable doing it and don’t have someone capable of doing such things helping or at least advising, shell out the cash and have a shop do it.
  3. Cool, thats great that you got it back! Be sure to look it over really good for hard to see damage, 4WDs don't often get treated to well when stolen... not that anything does.
  4. Iceland Off-Road Adventure Warning: This is not likely to be dialup friendly
  5. Scott... I will keep my eye's open for you. I live down in Yelm, but am in the Kent/Renton/Seattle area during the week. By then though the odds of it being around probably are not to good :sniff: Later, Scott
  6. 88 has one on his TBI engine... 88, you refer to it as "custom" did you make it? How much of an effect did it have on your engines performance?
  7. Add me to that list.. just sent you a PM
  8. A truck that did not come with one when new (like mine) does have the bottom internal mounting bracket but not the top internal bracket :sniff: Because of the design you can't get the stock bracket into a truck not originally equipped... nor can you get it out of one that did have the carrier without cutting the body panel free. At least, not to my knowledge. Someone, I think it's AC, sells a bracket kit for trucks that did not have one... you insert and mount the custom brackets and drill the holes through the body for the bolts and then bolt a carrier on.. Carrier does not come with the kit.
  9. Progress, such a sweet thing... even if you must get it moving by intimidation!
  10. Can you use Image Shack to post your pictures?
  11. Refer to above post ^^ Agreed, I thoroughly enjoyed it
  12. Good post... I can respect that. I actually held off on mentioning the mods on your vehicle. This was partially because I wanted to know for sure if you were doing stock comparisons, but mostly to see how far you would go You've got yourself a nice truck and the mods you have made look to be good ones. One day I would not mind making some of the same changes to mine.
  13. LOL not yours? Come on, you know you want a mat brown finish on yours too!
  14. Nice!!! Slick! Your Right... V6 is happy!!!! LOL but 6, your right and I completely agree.. looks like it wa a great outing!
  15. I agree Mookie... they accell in different aspects of off-roading. The light rear end can be a problem for about any truck. It's just a side-effect of design that's all
  16. Blessed? umm ok.. but yeah I do, and I am also blessed with a Toyota as well. I find them different depending on the situation.. both better each other at times. Again, depends on the case.. Sometimes yes and sometimes no for both trucks. About the rest... In my case, my Path has IFS and my Yota's has a solid front axle... so it's apples and oranges in that comparison. Now, about that signature of yours.. Say's your trucks got... 1: A different Engine. 2: It's been converted to a solid front axle (Nissan axle or not, it don't matter) And 3: The suspension/steering is different. Hmm, seems to me that you have made some major changes that greatly affect its performance off-road... So how can you compare it as a "Nissan" to another brand... now it's more of a hybrid of multiple manufactures, than just a Nissan :contract: sly Now before anyone thinks it, let me clear things up.. I love my Path, but I also love my Yota too
  17. Never heard of those.. you really do live in your own little world And "HEEP". MMMM, the pot is calling the kettle black. And what exactly does that mean?
  18. Local Dealers parts department should be able to help you out.. I stopped at Puyallup Nissan some time ago and had them come up with a total cost for a complete X Roof Rack (everything) and to do that they had to look up each part or set of parts. Yup, my plan was to put a modified X rack on my Path.. but the cost of new parts and the fact that I could not fid one in a wrecking yard prevented me from doing it :sniff:
  19. Sorry Pez... I throw myself at your feet and beg for your forgiveness many times over    If you like I can start a Poll titled "Best Looking Generation"... or you may feel free to do so
  20. Oh no.. you get full credit for this... I just got tired of hearing that it don't work. So I figured I'd offer a little help (All in good fun )
