  1. I would suspect worn valve guides/seals. They let oild drip to the cylinders and you get the white / blueish smoke when you initially start up.
  2. I have 6x9 Xplods on my '93 and had them wired thru the factory amps with the stock radio. The sound was horrible. I´ve since installed a Pioneer CD/radio with high power amp and discarded the factory amps. 100% improvement! My recommendation is to get rid of the factory amps, they put out like 6 watts anyway.
  3. I recently installed a roof carrier made by Con-Fer in California. I purchased it from 4x4 products which I found through the links here at this club. It comes disassmbled but it´s fairly easy to install; the only "drawback" is having to drill 12 - 1/2" holes in the roof, since my 93 XE did not come with factory rails. But the system uses rubber "plugs" that swell from the inside when tightened. So far no leaks. It also comes without a floor but I will be bolting some wire mesh soon. Looks great and it´s a great platform for off-road lights. Good luck!
  4. Hello, I´m new to the group and would like to congratulate the owner and members for a well organized serious site. I bought my father in law´s 1993 Pathfinder XEv6 4x4 with a limited slip rear which he´s had since new. It has 85,000 miles (the majority of which I´ve put on it) and still looks new. The only issues with it have been the usual: manifold bolts replaced and I just had the transmission (auto) rebuilt. I have owned many 4x4 and currently have a 1990 Comanche pickup, a 1998 Cherokee and a 2005 LandRover Freelander (the wife´s) in addition to the Pathfider. Honestly, for all practical purposes my favorite is the Pathfinder. I´ll post some pictures in the future.
