  2. on the lower control arm, you know how you have a radius arm type bar on the back of the control arm going to the frame. my bushings on both sides look really bad. is that bad or no?
  3. so i finally got a day off, and i'll look farther into this today, i got a new oil pressure sensor, and am going to put that in, and we'll go from there.
  4. honestly dude, i can rip each side of my truck down to the hubs and rotors off in less that 30 minutes, it's not hard at all. press the old stud out, and well if you're doing one, then do them all at least on that wheel. re pack the bearings, and put it back together. shouldn't take more then i'd say 3 hours.
  5. not much, i got like 16k out of mine
  6. rear main seal is brand new less than 2 weeks old.
  7. i've always used frams, and always will use frams, but on a side note, the motor is toast. tried everything i could, still pours oil out of the engine when started, something is f-ed up
  8. i actually did get a napa gold filter, i usually always put fram oil filters on it, never had a problem with them.
  9. so while driving on the high way at speed today, my exhaust suddenly went blue from an oil leak on the exhaust crossover pipe. upon pulling off of the road safely i got out of my pathfinder, and looked under it, and oil is just pouring out of the engine bay. Upon further investigation i noticed while looking at the under carraige, only the passenger side of the engine was oil covered, from the filter level down. and the bottom of the filter had a nice coating of oil on it. now i grabbed the oil filter while waiting for a tow truck, and it was tight, but, isn't there a plate the oil filter screws onto that bolts onto the side of the motor, and also the filter i got from napa, the o-ring on the filter base it self, i noticed was about the size of a 50 cent peice, when the fram i took off had an o-ring all the way around the base of the filter, that was pretty much the circumference of the filter. Any ideas? or suggestions of what to check? Thank you so much, John Dreiling
  10. thank you all of you so much for your help!! it drives again

  17. after a day of greasy hands, spray your hands down with wd40 and then scrub them, you'd be amazed at how much mor crap comes off of your hands.
  18. so after dropping the transmission out of my truck, and watching the bad one roll off of the tranny jack, i realized maybe if i had removed the transfer case, it would have been easier. So my thoughts are removing the transfercase, and the install it once the transmission is in the truck. so once i remove the transfer case, what is going to pop out and bearings, or what not, or just the output shaft fron the transmission. Thank you for you're help John
  19. open diff, weld that biotch up, and you'll be good to go
