ok im about to head down to the shop, does anyone know what size the crankshaft bolt is. i only have up to a 24mm, it won't fit. Thanks John

ok i believe the tranny gusset is right where the starter goes, is this true or not.

i believe it's called the drive plate that connects to the flywheel, if so how do you remove the bolts from it to the flywheel so you can fully remove the transmission. Thanks John.

Ok do i'm going through the process of swapping the automatic transmission with another replacement, and the replacement one i have has a manual speedo cable, and the one i'm in the process of pulling out has and electronic one, they should just swap right out with each other right? Thanks in advance John

yeah this is more of a bitch than i thought it would be. stuck on the torsion bar ancours on the front lower control arms. mainly on the drivers side, and the bigger bolt, other than that. yeah this thing is the suck

Ok so i've ordered a replacement transmission with 65K on it from Japan for 380 bucks, then i'll go to one of the auto parts stires and grab a trans cooler, and hopefully i'll e able to do more then 35.

ok not doing the 5 speed swap, found a guy on craigslist with a good transmission with the shifter linkage broken on it, and a bad transmission with a good set of shifter linkages.

the fluid was a reddish brown color smelt a little burnt, not too bad i think. but it definately wasn't a cherry red fluid color.

no on the tranny flush, never done it. i have the oe trans cooler. didn't know about replacing it with an aftermarket one, what do you recommend?

on the way to work this morning i noticed that my tranny was slipping quite a bit, and now after my drive home it seems that i have no third gear at all it'll shift into third, and you can press the gas pedal, and it'll just rev up. i can drop it from drive to 2nd and it'll work fine. any ideas. thanks

ok so when you change the timing belt since you've got everything torn apart should you just do the Timing belt and tensionor Cam seals Water pump and gasket what else while i have that area open for servicing? thanks John

i had the same problem, pull the whole airbox top off and disconnect the main air intake hose and i think they're a 10mm socket too try that and if that doesn't work the grab some vice grips un screw them and get some new screws.

which is true, but at the moment im just concerned with getting it driving striaght again, and i can get the parts from autozone for 200 bucks and i'll keep the two centerlinks for when i do this modification so i only pay 129 bucks for it. but yes indeed they are better but for now -

is this an easy task to replace both the center link and idler arm or more a job for the shops to do? Thanks John
