  1. Don't forget about this one ;-)
  2. Ahhhhh, a Cummins! Perfect when you have to tow a fully loaded horse trailer at 90mph up a 45 degree incline. *drool*
  3. He he, power to the 2 doors :-) For those of us who are to cool to have friends! :-) On the canadian thing, your on your own there buddy :-)
  4. hehe, Has anyone put something like that on a pathy? I can't imagine my Pathy with much more than 33's, let alone having the 3.0l push 44's :-) Then again, I haven't even done the JGC lift yet ;-)
  5. Horribly Sick and Twisted -- I love it :-)
  6. lol i think i would almost prefer that to my fading light blue color scheme....
  7. I started the day with a full tank, still had 3/4 of a tank left for the drive home. (Left while I still knew I could get out under my own power) Pretty sure thats not it :-) Thanks for the suggestion though.
  8. Thanks for the help, Fuel system does seem likely! Curses, guess I'm going to de-virginize my mechanic skills finally. Changing oil and running wires doesn't count torwards this stuff :-) Just hope It doesn't get to far over my head....
  9. *Jaw Drops* Very Nice, Very Nice indeed! -- I'll be following suit with my pathy as soon as I win the lottery Thanks for the update!
  10. Yeah, That should solve it. I'm looking to do the same thing in my VW, the headlights dim when the bass hits.
  11. No I didn't notice anything going on with the temp. Although I have noticed that this trucks heater warms up fairly quick, although my temp gauge hardly moves. The Guy i bought it from said it was common on this truck for the thermostat to stay open?? My pathy does have 267000 miles on it though....
  12. Ok, Will look into that. Seeing as I'm at work with my pathy and fix it manuals at home, where is the fuel filter located?
  13. I have: 1) An altimeter velcroed to my steering wheel 2) Map lights brighter than the face of god, bought as Kitchen Island lamps @ home depot. Just remove the transformer and their 12v. Installed in my head liner above the windshield. 3) All my switches are housed in an upside down tool box velcroed on top of the dash to the right of the main gauge cluster. It houses switches for: (left to right) KC lights, Smaller Lights, Fog Lights, Map Lights, GPS/Radar Detector power supplies, and finally a switch for four 12v outlets on the right side of the box. 4) Pioneer Tape Deck with 6 disk changer (changer mounted under the dash on passenger side) 5) Getting a Cobra CB with a 7ft whip antananea (sp?) for $20, just need a PA speaker for it :-) Going to install that under the stereo. Will take pictures soon.
  14. I see a lot of white, black and red Pathy's around town, with a few light blue guys like myself. On another note, does it ever irk you to see soo many pathys around, but so little of them off the pavement?
  15. Ok, so a buddy of mine with a 97 tacoma and I headed out for some mud this weekend. Problems arose when: A ) I was attempting a hill climb, I attempted it, then backed off, several times, and while I was doing this my engine started to die, ideling really slowly, etc. In fact it DID die before I made it up the hill. When attempting to restart It took about 30seconds of cranking to get her to start.. B ) I went through a smallish mud hole, and on incline on the way out of the hole it startted to stutter again, and in fact died. Then it wouldn't start, (more cranking) so we popped the hood and let it sit. Few minutes later it started right up. C ) Did a few more runs through puddles and got the same results on another incline. (albeit a slight incline, but an incline nonetheless) My buddy thought that it was just something under hood getting wet, but when A) happend I hadn't hit any mud yet. The engine just seemed really really, unwilling to move, getting it to rev up was slow. Once I got it back onto pavement and on my way home it ran (seemingly) fine. The starter cranking was unusual too, usually my pathy starts right up, faster than my VW most of the time... Any ideas oh great pathy gods? Ps. Pics to come
  16. I'm fairly good with bikes. When I was in college I scraped together a few of the left over bikes in the dorm storage area and frankensteined a bike. I cut the crank portion off of one and bolted it in place of the handlebars on the second bike. Took the rear tire from the other bike, ran a chain from the handlebar crank down to the front wheel. Blasted thing hauled arse when you were peddling with both hands and feet. Front wheel tended to wobble to much to peddle with at higher speeds though. Never really figured out the break handle placement either. I have pictures, Just need to find a scanner. Never taken a bike down to the frame, but I can tighten cables :-)
  17. I recently moved, and changed my round trip work commute from 40 miles down to about 3. Been riding my bike to work every day since, definatly getting in better shape! Best yet now I can sell my 99 VW, get rid of the car/ins payment and just keep the pathy for my weekend desert/camping escapades, and heaven forbid a drive to the grocery store every now and then Just have to make sure the pathy is up to the challenge of being a sole vehicle. Btw, any advice for derailuers that seem to shift on their own? I'm going to try and clean them/check the cabeling this weekend, but thought I'd ask.
  18. He he, you guys make me jealous, my Cannondale only has that "different" mono shock fork.
  19. Between the two I'd probably go with the Nissan, The only point I see in buying an american truck anymore is if your going to at least a 3/4 ton frame with a diesel, for some serious toy hauling. For general drivability, endurance and longevity, I'd go with the Nissan, actually I'd go with the Tundra, but you know what I mean :-)
  20. I bought a Cannondale F500 (hardtail) used at the start of the winter, just barely started riding it to work to get used to it. Hope to take it up into the Boise Foothills for some trails soon. Might as well since all my snow has melted *sniff*
  21. Well I asked this after seeing this thread about a ghetto fabed snorkel: http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?showto...4022&hl=snorkel where 88 is quoted with " Only for the VG30E 90-95 crowd...VG30i's in the 87-89's have a circular aircleaner with no way to seal it up for a snorkel" Because if I can spend a few bucks at ACE hardware, vs a spendy ARB unit, I'll do it :-) Function over Form damnit!
  22. Indeed, my last diesel truck had a 4 inch straight pipe coming off the back of it, not Cat or muffler or anything, still wasn't as loud as some of the gasser's running around town. and the turbo whine was frigging epic! Nice rig BTW, wish my pathy's engine bay looked that nice!
  23. I don't have anything in the pathy just yet, I have two MTX 10's sitting by though, still waiting for an amp. I do have a Pioneer Cassette deck hooked up to a Pioneer 6disk changer though. In my VW I have one Sony Xplod 12" powered by a 700 watt sony amp, connected to a sony head unit :-) Still need to add a 1 farad cap though, just to stop my lights from dimming when the bass hits.
  24. Everthing I can gather about the auto's shows that they do just fine provided you have a healthy tranny cooler hooked up. Other than that they're your typical auto. Anyone who knows more feel free to correct me!
  25. Remembered a while back that our engines can't use the homemade ghetto snorkel seen around this site. What can we use that is compatible with the round carberator style air filter and case? Since we lack the pretty little air box in the corner
