  1. The next milestone is 25, the one I'm waiting for Lower Insurance Rates Yay!
  2. I'm not scared of splashes of water :-) The few instances that scare me are: A camping spot I used to frequent, I didn't go camping at all last summer because most good camping spots require a creek crossing :-) (This was before I bought my Pathy) And the other day we had a LOT of rain, flash flood warnings and the like. There was a puddle outside of my work parking lot that had to be a foot deep at its lowest point. - No way around outside of hopping a curb) Lucky enough my car was still on jack stands in my garage and I had taken the pathy that day The VW has been lowered so it especially doesn't bode well when the rain comes round.
  3. Well I'm sure its more than possible to run tires like that on a 'Zuki, but I'm not familiar enough with 'Zuki's to say. Maybe a tried and true 350 swap?
  4. Ah, thats why I like this site, terminolgy I can understand!
  5. Happy 21st Vengeful! May the porcelain gods look favorably upon you!
  6. Wouldn't a snorkel (if done properly) be better than a sheilded intake under the hood? Just for the lower air temp and the ram effect (if set up right). Seems to be a better alternative than a cold air intake as well due to the dangers of water induction into your intake. I have a AEM CAI on my VW and the performance over stock is much better for just being an intake, but I am scared to death of large puddles.
  7. He he, I can't imagine the engine he swapped in to turn those monstrous tires.
  8. Bastards! I'm sure they'll get whats coming to them sooner or later though. (Hopefully sooner of course!) At least they didn't succeed in getting rid of the alarm. Didn't know the stock alarm was that hard to disconnect! Although I'm going to turn my stock alarm on now, I've been running without it.
  9. OK! So my ebay caliper finally arrived so I was able to get to work. Seemed easy enough. I got it all put back together and drove around town for about 15 minutes taking it easy. When I got out of the car I could smell that burning brake smell. I don't think I did any major damage, but what did I do wrong?
  10. I don't think it vibrates, although I bet it could if you really, REALLY wanted it too. But then again....ah n/m *omits obligatory vibrator jokes*
  11. Does it matter that that beast of a pathy is a trailer queen?
  12. Ohhhhh but if they did...... *evil grin*
  13. Is it required to have all the wheels off as your doing this? Or can I do the back two first, reinstall the wheels and then do the front? I ask because I only have two jackstands, and while I don't mind spending money on new tools I would prefer to have a practical reason for buying them. :contract:
  14. I'm putting together a list of things I hope to aquire on my next J/Y excursion. I've been doing some searching and have boiled it down to this. What year range of the Quest/Villager Minivans or Ford Taurus yield a electric fan replacement for our pathys? Is it the same 93-95 for the Nissan/Mercury, as it is with the alternators?
  15. I actually want to install a pair of paintball guns eventually. This would be great for that! Can't find the link now but a couple years ago I came across this dude who installed a paintball gun in his rx7 grill, mounted a large solenoid to the trigger assembly and installed the switch/trigger on his shifter. The guy had two model rocket tubes sticking out the front as well. Would like to fab up a enclosure to mount two pbg on the roof, and have the barrels sticking out low just over top of my light bar. Practical no, but I can dream right?
  16. I dunno about that, I think I remember you saying something about your trucks lift being a "long way off" too :-)
  17. I'd take a copy, just incase I ever get to bored :-) Don't know if I'd put that in my GTI, but maybe in the Pathy! Although it would make a great controller for a Carputer if I ever got around to putting one in..... I'll pm you my e-mail address.
  18. Your rig just gets better and better pezzy :-) Love the family pic
  19. It certainly does fascinate anyone with a button fetish. Myself included.
  20. Mwa ha ha ha! and to think of all the old joysticks I just threw away :-) http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1982241&page=1
  21. In my never ending pursuit of car-know how I've come to this question. Whats the best way to bleed a brake system? Do I need to order one of those vaccum bleeder systems?
  22. One of my leads at work got a ticket for having tires sticking out to far. Granted it is backwater ID and hes a little Korean guy, but it still happend :-)
  23. Would there be a problem with putting it on a light bar without any fairing to hide it behind? Or is under-hood the best option?
  24. May the Mod Gods smile upon you my friend :-) Looking good, please keep us updated! And on a different note, that 'runner is f'ing sick.
