Krylon touch the windows, that will keep the light out!

  4. Battery reads 12.7V, 14.1 with the engine running, yet the charge light is on on the dash?

    1. CO_pathfinder

      CO_pathfinder

At least your charge light comes on. One of the 8 bajillion grounds we have must have come loose / corroded away.

  5. Both my pathy and my motorcycle were born in 6/1995...

      Karmann

Cool, my bike and pathy are 31 years apart.

  6. Cheater bars, impact gun, pb blaster, & a jack. Not enough to remove the passenger side panhard rod bolt. :(

Dont you love it when your aggression and frustration lead to the intended result? lol

  7. Damn drivers side tow hook holes stripped outoday. Guess I get to drill and tap them to 14mm tomorrow. Not much fun driving around without the new bumper on. :(

      Precise1

That sucks, but it might be cheaper/easier to with 9/16-18 tap and bolt instead. The are very close in size...

    2. Harbinger

      Harbinger

I already have the M14x1.5 tap. *shrug* Local places give me a good deal on metric bolts too.

Will keep that in mind, we should have a 9/16-18 tap at school.

    3. Precise1

      Precise1

Well, if you already have one, don't listen to me!

      A 9/16-18 would be a M14.29x1.41

  8. Finally ordered new tension rods! My pathy may yet live again!

    4. Harbinger

      Harbinger

Yep, I hear you. I am stuck in NC on what the spousal unit calls "vacation." One day I will learn to unwind.

  18. I wish I could find a front-end wrecked D21 for cheap. Want to make a D21 trailer for my WD21!

Honestly Bud, I don't think you will find anything much cheaper than that. WD21s are worth $300-400 scrap last time I checked.

    3. Slartibartfast

      Slartibartfast

That's probably why I keep finding busted WD21s on Craigslist for $300-400.

    4. Harbinger

      Harbinger

Yeah, starting to see that it may be cheaper to just buy an actual trailer.

  19. I'm looking for a new truck. I wish there wasn't so many automatics in the Nissan world!

    1. adamzan

      adamzan

Just throw a new/used tranny in. Easier and cheaper.

Meh, looking into a cleaner 94 with a stick shift. Would then make Apathy the parts truck lol.

  20. In the past two weeks, my rear defrost, blower motor, and gauge cluster have all stopped working. Time go check some ground points.

  21. Installing a new Sachs flywheel...and my bolts from the automatic flex plate are too short! Grrrrr. Anyone know the proper length for flywheel bolts? I know they are M10x1.0...

  22. Is there a source for two inch lift coils for the wd21? These three inch ac ones are too tall for my liking.

I've read countless arguments for and against, I've bought many different brands of springs over the years, and I've also cut an inch or two off many springs for myself and others and never really noticed much difference at all. People love to argue about is one, but I have done it and think its just fine. Moderation is the tick. Just trim off about half of what you would like to lose, and see where that puts it.

Seriously, this is nowhere near the big deal some folks...

    3. RedPath88

      RedPath88

Are they progressive rate or straight-rate springs? If they are PR then it could feasibly effect the spring rate or at least the range of which the rate changes, depending on which end and how much you take off. But I would imagine that they are SR springs, so the sprint rate should not be effected at all.

    4. Dma251

      Dma251

I think JGC springs are the best way to go. I carry about 200 lbs. of gear in the back of my pathfinder, and the JGC springs offer a really comfy ride. This should be a post.

  23. It's the summer of love! Just ordered tune up parts, wipers, liftegate struts and will be decideing on new tires soon. Mwa ha ha ha!
