  1. I tinted my taillights last Wednesday. I used a product called VHT Nightshades. It is illegal to buy in North Carolina so I got it off Ebay. This stuff runs so easily... I had to put 5 coats on to hide everything. I am going to redo them some other time so they aren't so dark. 2 coats is about what I should have.
  2. I have an auto with Tholeys. I'll go get a picture right now.
  3. I have the ones specifically for the Pathfinder and they fit perfect. It has the longer boots for the deeper plugs and everything.
  4. You have some more pictures? I was thinking about going wider when the time comes and more pictures would be really cool. Like a shot from the front with the tires pointed straight.
  5. wheel366, can you vouch for the MPG gain?
  6. The rear window wiper is on the right stick thingie coming off the steering column (what are those called?). My guess is it's the factory foglights. Does it turn orange when your lights are on? Does it have any lights on it at all?
  7. You forget that the reason I'm not putting one in is not because it's too expensive or that I insist on killing trees or whatever it does, it's because I have no other option for the exhaust layout that I want. Call me Satan, but I've weighed the options and outcomes and have made my decision... exhaust is going on next week.
  8. I have the Thorleys and am thrilled to death with the outcome. I am so glad I got them, even if it cost me $800 for the parts and installation.
  9. Is it orange and say 'CHECK' on it? That would be your check engine light. I went out and checked on my '95 so it should be the same.
  10. So if you aren't running a catalytic converter your exhaust smells bad? Maybe I should think about getting some of that fuel additive that makes your exhaust smell like pina colada. A good idea, but that stuff is expensive; $10 for I think 4 tanks.
  11. Precise 1: I am almost certain that dual exhaust isn't going to sound any better than a single exhaust. I want dual for looks and for bragging rights. Also, I plan on bolting in a flamethrower and it's so much cooler to see flames coming from two pipes than one. On the flamethrower note, I can control the length of the flame easier if there is no catalytic converter. In North Carolina, any vehicle over 10 years old doesn't have to do an emissions test, so I'm good to go there (it's still illegal, but how will they find out without performing an emissions test? That and I know a real crooked mechanic at an inspection station that will pass it for $20 should he notice the catalytic converter missing.) 88: What you're saying is take off the catalytic converter and everything behind it including the stock muffler, then drive it to the exhaust shop and hope they assume the role of 'don't ask'? Sounds like a plan to me.
  12. Yeah there is, it's called an All-Terrain. An All-Terrain balances all types of offroad terrain as well as the road. An All-Terrain is good at everything, but good is as far as it goes. What I think you're aiming at is that no tire is exceptional at everything.
  13. Congratulations, man! Although I wasn't one of the guys who gave you advice (which you should be glad that I didn't), I'm happy for you still the same.
  14. I've already gotten a hold of a Magnaflow muffler. 1 in/2 out 2.5" piping on both sides. I've taken it to get it installed and have been told several times that a dual exhaust on a Pathfinder is impossible. Well I'm a white Southerner and am not going to give up that easy. My version of a dual exhaust is pulling out the catalytic converter and putting the Magnaflow in it's spot. I've already measured everything out and it fits fine right in there above the crossmember. Then shoot both pipes out to the left in front of the rear tire. I wanted to know what everybody thought about this idea or if anybody wanted to give me some other ideas, that would be cool too. Does anybody else have dual exhaust?
  15. I deliver Chinese food. My average is 8 or 9 deliveries a night. My record is 20 in one night. Anyways, about a fourth or a third of my tips goes into gas (gas in total, not just gas used on the job), and that's with me slamming the pedal to the floor all of the time... I take my job seriously. On top of that, I get paid $8 an hour and $1 for each delivery. I've decided to go to college around here so I can keep my awesome job. I don't know what kind of area you live in, but my area crime-wise is pretty tame but I still would never leave the truck running. I set the alarm and everything. Smart criminals knows that I have $60 from tickets in my car... that's why robbing the delivery guy is such a popular thing in big citys.
  16. In most cases, a 3 inch lift (body or suspension) is enough to clear 32" tires with minor if any rubbing. I have 31" with 1" custom lift and am not rubbing at all, so I figure when I jump up to 3" I could stuff some 32's in there. That's my plan anyways.
  17. Congratulations SteevO! You've been here for like a month and already have a thread named after yourself. I've been here for something like a year and I haven't gotten that yet! I'm thinking the only reason you would do this converting business would be for the sentimental value of your particular Pathfinder. It better be a very high sentimental value too. Honestly, with as much money as you would need to spend and the efforts you will have to go through I regretfully would suggest starting fresh on a 4x4 Pathfinder. Maybe you could switch body panel so the 4x4 looks like you old one!
  18. I have the All-Terrain KO's and think I would of rather had Duelers. What kind of mileage are you guys getting off your BFG All-Terrains? Because mine are wearing out fast as all get out.
  19. My XE has all of that. Do you have a sunroof?
  20. k9sar, where did you find that information? And does anyone have an original sales booklet? My decked-out XE doesn't have any window tint. So that list is mostly correct, but still not perfect.
  21. Actually my getting bigger will run out at 32". But my performance outlooks are at this point unlimited... I'm currently looking at an electric fan, an electric water pump, a complete exhaust, and any other doodads I see in catalogs.
  22. Mine came with the 235's and I am running 31" BFGoodrich All-Terrains. I do not have any rubbing, even when full locked. I have a 1" suspension lift. All of it cost me only $9. For the front, crank the torsion bars (only 1" isn't going to affect your ball joint angle enough to worry about). For the back, get some rubber spacers that they sell at a local auto parts store. They call them 'coil boosters' or 'coil helpers' and are designed to set worn-out springs back at their original factory height.
