  1. I'll usually dump a little in my crank case about 100 miles before my next oil change to help clean up in there, then put the rest in the gas tank. Never had any adverse effects.
  2. There was an aftermarket insert available for just that. Keep an eye on Ebay, they pop up now and then.
  3. There are strengtheners across the inside of the roof, just keep the mount points in line with or close to those. If you are worried about them being weak, just throw some wood up there under the headliner to help make it more rigid.
  4. Probably about the best idea, as most things available are for mounting in a truck bed and are basically just a mount you bolt in place in the bed. Never saw a carrier made for a roof top specifically.
  5. That is either the exhaust bolt broke or you are using an oil filter without a anti-backflow valve and getting lifter tick till it gets oil. Does it last under 15 seconds or does it last about 2-3minutes after startup? If it goes away quickly it is just the lifter complaining. As for actual recalls the only real valid one is the exhaust studs, but only if you have under 100k on the odo. Otherwise there is lifetime warranty on all the seatbelt components (due to saftey).
  6. My guess is the contacts in the switch need cleaned. Search around for a thread on it.
  7. Where is Max when he is needed? I doubt you'll find any place that will have aftermarket parts sitting on the shelf waiting for you, or even have connections to get them. Most of us buy parts online then either DIY or find a shop local to do the work. In many ways DIY is the best if you think you can tackle the job, because it makes you more framiliar with your vehicle in the case of a breakdown later. Also it saves you the cost of paying someone else to mess it up for you...besides they always charge more because you have an import, even if he work is easier. If you plan to wheel the truck, you better learn how to wrench on it.
  8. The other 2 you listed were more of a MT, why not look into BFG MTs? I like mine.
  9. Another good trick, hit the bolt with some candle wax while it is hot. The wax will melt into the threads making it nice and smooth. For cold work I've used Thrust and PB, both work great.
  10. You can do the lettering in black vinyl and the box in yellow vinyl, not to hard. The person who makes the NOAS stickers stacks 3 colors.
  11. Yep, the more you crank the more the wheels will go / \ that is why 88 mentioned aftermarket UCAs, because if you crank too much then you can no longer adjust the stock UCA out to fix that issue and correct the allignment.
  12. Actually, you have to cut the TRE no matter what to install the lift. The new mount sits inboard of the stock location.
  13. I was told the B&M "trick shift" is not good for our trannys, forget the reasoning.
  14. Most people refer to that part as an "Anti-sway bar" or just Sway bar.
  15. Most of what I have heard is that standard NGKs seem to work best in our engines.
  16. The difference is in the Tie Rods, they switched to a larger tapper in 93, but TM didn't retool and only sells the one tapper size kit. So you either have to have the relocation bracket reamed or swap your steering to an older set to fit the kit on a 93+. (UNCC, the TM 4" SL)
  17. Not in NA you couldn't. They had 3 different sets of flares, all had the same stick out. First set fit with the "air damn" on the 87-92s. the second set were for 93 only and fit with the new valance they fit in place of the air damn, then the 94&95 ones had the same as 93 but with intigrated flaps. Only other option we had here was Bush Wackers, but only as aftermarket not from the dealer. Those were nice, but they stopped making them .
  18. I didn't click the link, but if it is the same thing that I have seen before it is a $.30 resistor in a little black plastic box with 2 wires comming out of it that you hook intto on of your sensors to trick it into dumping more fuel. If you really want one, go to Radio Shack and buy the resistor.
  19. Nice shoehorn job man! Makes it look almost factory with the emblem still intact.
  20. Yep. My wife has a VW convertible and she leaves it unlocked all the time with the alarm off. If anyone wants in she would rather they open the door than jimmy the lock or cut the soft top open.
  21. Yep, all stock there, and the tires were just put on it 5 minutes before that pic. Like Simon said, all the Pathfinders with the "Lego" wheels were on 31s from the factory.
  22. Here is my 93 before I lifted it on 31 BFG MTs.
  23. I'm fine with my stock ones in my 93. Now, my 88, that's another story, it doesn't have any.
