  1. Honestly, the quality of the information is self-evident. Anybody who shuns the forum over FB clearly has chronic judgement issues. I’m not particularly mechanical but I can recognize a careful & thorough thought process. It’s a shame NPORA allows the FB to have the same name - it would be fine if it were different.

  2. EL-38 of the '03 manual shows how to get those apart, but not how to put them together again. Looks like to get them apart, you push the slider forward (towards the TPS). From that I'd guess that you'd stick it back together with the slider still all the way forward, and the slider would then return on its own to the locked position as the connector seated. Maybe having the slider fully forward lifts the springs that are getting in your way? I didn't even know those connectors were a thing, so that's all I've got. Good luck!

  3. Good video and good point about holding the extension straight. My extension is a tad longer so I don't need to use a swiveling ratchet.

  4. My tool kit does indeed come with these spark plug pullers or what ever you would call them there are 2 of them in the kit

  5. When I bought my Pathy the toolkit was missing, the seller told me that it disappeared after a service at Nissan. I was unable to find one at the dealer or a junkyard. After experimenting with several extensions I found one that is a perfect fit and changing the plug is no longer the nightmare it was the first time I changed the plug without a proper tool.

  6. I was able to get to it by first putting the spark plug socket on and then attaching everything. I had an inspection mirror and light so I could see in there.

  7. Facebook killed the forums and it is sad because the real database of info is here.

  8. Agreed. Though, it was a flip on a quote that came from the R50 FB group saying that NPORA gives owners bad info. The person who wrote it is king of bad info.

  9. The NPORA FB group will often stray you wrong with R50. A 1" SFD is a lost cause, having personally attempted to install a 1.5" SFD; the constraints are the same. I've seen the hack jobs of others who have tried (can't recall if the guy referred to you just ended up stacking an extra rag joint in his link). After you've sorted that, then have fun modifying the motor mounts and replacing all the hardware with expensive longer bolts...to achieve less ground clearance. As speculated, all the steering parts will fit, you just need a shorter shaft piece. No one's done it correctly, so no one knows the right length. It's not a linear extension length, as the other guy mentioned.
