  1. I'm glad the heep crew got ahold of you to come along with them so that you could pull them out when they got stuck.
  2. the only time you would have major issues with turning is in slow/stopped maneuvers on pavement. I don't think it would be worth it.
  3. I guess the odometer would be the most accurate reading. next time I fuel up I will compare my odometer to trip meter numbers.
  4. As far as I've always known, the trip meter is physically linked to the odometer, which is ran by the speedometer cable.
  5. I went to tahuya last friday, I didn't go through all of it, only about two miles or so. and my friends stock 93 blazer (street tires) had absolutely no problems. I was hoping for a bit more of a challenge, perhaps that's in the other six miles I missed?, but I still had a lot of fun. Definitely a great place to go with any sort of stock rig.
  6. is 10w30 available in your area? I think that would be a much better option.
  7. I also have an auto with a non-powered antenna, and my cruise also works.
  8. Yeah, I'm fairly certain having a factory alarm gives you the keyless entry. The antenna should run straight back, not down to the floor.
  9. So I picked up a set of rancho 9000's this weekend, along with a rancho 5000 steering stabalizer. I can't seem to find the mounting kit. doing a google search for rancho 5533 and rancho p/n 5533 brings up nothing. and searching sumwutracing for "5533" brings up nothing rancho related.
  10. The oval three wire plug in the right of your photo, redpath88, is one of my mystery connectors, along with the relay plug.
  11. I have an XE and it came with the alarm. The alarm module goes under the driver seat, look toward the front of the vehicle, it would be on the right hand side, check to see if you have an electrical plug. Also, do you have the rocker switch in the center console for an alarm?
  12. Hah, this is kind of funny. I used to own an 82 supra, and two 85 supras, and I sold my 91 EGT with rod knock (plans to put a BP-T in it) to get the transmission replaced in my pathfinder.
  13. Do the trucks have the factory alarm in them? If they do, you just need to program the keyfob.
  14. I have the same relay plug there. Saw it today. There is also another plug there that goes nowhere. I'll try and snap some pictures of it tomorrow.
  15. Whoops, was too tired last night to realize something had to be altered. My starter actually went out a couple weeks ago and had to get it replaced. Was able to get it to start, rather weakly, after tapping on the solenoid though
  16. I wish I could offer assistance, other than this link. But I'm fairly sure you would rather spend 50 dollars on this, than have a huge headache and no lights. http://suvlights.com/product_info.php?products_id=112 Basically plug and play. You plug your stock headlight connectors into the harness, find a place to secure the relays, wire up the positive to the battery, ground to the chassis, and plug the other end into your headlight bulbs.
  17. I had a hell of a time threading on a new oil filter when I changed the oil on mine. Sat there for a good half hour spinning it from the top trying to catch a thread! I even tried to put the old one back on to make sure it was just me and that I hadn't grabbed the wrong oil filter, and I couldn't even get the old one back on. I read somewhere on here that it's much easier through the wheel well, I took the tire off, and there was a slit in the inner fender lining where it looked like someone had gone through there before to put the filter on. Once I got in there, voila, I was able to thread it.
  18. I ran royal purple 10w30 in my old supra for less than 1000 miles. made a trip to spokane and back, so about 500 miles. As I was making it over snoqualmie pass, I noticed my oil pressure gauge was reading low. so I pull off to the side, check my dipstick, and the fluid is there, but it is literally running off the stick like water, so I baby it to issaquah to the fred meyer to buy some motor oil, I pull the drain plug and it comes GUSHING out and had no consistency to it. So, I refuse to use their motor oil ever again, I have read similar stories online. But I hear good stuff about their other fluids. Especially their water wetter.
  19. Yeah, those toyota 3vz's are garbage, the 5vz is a much better engine and gives you a .4 litre increase. I'm a toyota guy at heart. I would suggest checking out the airflow meter, and making sure the idle bypass screw on it isn't tweaked at all, I had a bad one on my old supra and actually had to drill out the spot where it is, to adjust it. If a cylinder isn't getting spark and he's replaced everything but the distributor, definitely try that, it could be some sort of failing contact in there that lets it work til it warms up or something?
  20. I put 85-145 in my rear with some "posi-trac" LSD additive. Plan on doing the front and transfer case soon.
  21. have someone with a hose run water over the top while look, it'll be much easier to find that way. I'm glad my wd21 is a hard top...
  22. Do you have have a sun or moonroof? the seal is probably leaking.
