  1. I have always been curious does a right hand drive car have the same M/T shift pattern? 1-3-5 2-4-R
  2. I use no rear sway and can hardly tell it's gone on the road. But I believe that with an IFS the removal of the front sway won't do much for you offroad.
  3. Finally! We are still packing and moving but I found some time to get over and strip the frame this weekend. The IFS is dropped as well as all the factory body mounts, I still have alot of smoothing to do with the grinder but should be stripped and primed before the next weekend ends. I also have the 44 stripped to the shell and waiting to be cleaned and primed. Now with the delays and lack of funds, I will be lucky to have this done by Thanksgiving, maybe by Christmas...........
  4. I have had many ideas for this along with some from other sites. My first step will be replacing the rear 5 windows with MR10 bronze tinted Lexan. That should offset the weight I am adding to the rear. Removing "unnecessary" steel from the frame and body should shave a hundred lbs or so. The A/C components probably weigh in excess of 75 lbs altogether. Hopefully I can make some molds for the front fenders to make them out of fiberglass. I have also thought seriously about pinching the rear about 8-10" that would probably save some more. I'm not a fan of removing carpets because the echo drives me nuts. But if need be later on I can look for a lighter type of floor covering, and maybe even a pair of racing seats for the front and rear........
  5. Cool idea, welcome to the board.

  7. Yes. No rear carrier. The kids gotta ride somewhere. Maybe a fuel cell.....great idea I do not wanna chop the top.
  8. Any tips? I want it to keep a somewhat factory appearance, other than the stretch of the wheelbase.

While the midnight looms both gray and dark The eyes in the shadows move round the park With death on their mind and no fear in their heart Instinct takes over, they know when to start Blood runs like ice, they can see it so clear The man whom they seek, not three feet from here They move in for the kill, but stay out of sight The man won't be found until after first light CDH

Pain Why do I have this pain within Bleeding inside, cut with sin Why do I cry myself to sleep The cost of life is much too steep Why do I hang my head down low Maybe so this pain will not show Why do I cut myself at night To let these demons have some light Why do these thoughts go through my head Will anyone miss me when I'm dead CDH

  16. ALL PROJECTS ON HOLD INDEFINATELY! I am now looking into starting up my own business doing light excavation work. This has put a stop on all fun money, but it should payoff soon. New skid loader - 40,000 New trailer - 10,000 New truck - 30,000 Working for myself - Priceless I have just been looking back at some of my posts and realized how much has been going on in the past few months.
  17. Hmmm, I'm not much of an expert on this, but I believe you have to use the matching TCU.
  18. UPDATE!!!!!! As of right now the plans have changed yet again! The SBC combo will NOT be entering my ride any time soon. I am going to be moving into my new house at the end of this month and have no time for much of anything. There are two major rides I need to attend, Thanksgiving and New years. I doubt I will even have time to double the tranfers. Also for the first run I may be 69" front and 59" in the rear with a wicked offset in ratios  Any way after thinking of these latest developments I will not ever use the SBC, instead I am going to build a buggy using a Nissan theme instead of a Heep.
  19. I call mine, Pit in the basement crawler.
  20. Very sad ending for such an amazing man.
